Chapter 0009

Carol quickly tore up her pencil skirt and let down her hair to give off a disheveled impression. She even unbuttoned her blouse.

Then, she went to the door and opened it quietly before she went to the bathroom.

When Louis saw her, he felt like she was temptation on legs.

He immediately hugged Carol.

“I’ve wanted you for such a long time, sweetheart.”

The moment he hugged her, he heard the sound of a shutter clicking and saw a flash.

Carol buried herself deeper into Louis’s arms and pretended to be scared. “Mr. Louis, what’s going on? I’m so scared!”

Louis had never encountered such a thing before. He looked at the woman at the bathroom entrance. She had a camera in her hands and a press ID hanging around her neck.

“Who are you?!”

Myka raised her chin and snapped another photo of the two of them together before she waved the camera in her hands. “My name isn’t important, but the photos are. If you don’t want them to be uploaded online, sign the contract!”

Louis then realized that he had not even tied his bathrobe.

With trembling hands, he signed the contract.

He seethed in anger because he had not thought that Carol could set up a trap for him!

When Carol took the contract, she checked it before she stood up and patted his back. Then, she pointed at the two women at the door and comforted him. “Mr. Louis, time is precious. I’ll get out of your hair now.”

She then stuffed the contract into her bag and left with Myka.

When she headed to the elevator, she felt someone staring at them.

She turned around to look but found no one behind them.

Myka turned around to look as well. “What’s wrong? Do you think he’ll chase after you?”

Carol shook her head. “Even if he does, I’m not scared. He has already signed the contract.”

She turned back.

She had to have been traumatized by the gory sight she saw a few days ago, which was why she was paranoid.

Once the two women entered the elevator, Titus walked out from behind the corner.

He processed their conversation and understood what they had done: that was a badger game!

How interesting.

She was Kieran’s wife, but she seduced her client and even forced him to sign the contract.

Why wasn’t Kieran doing anything about it? Could it be that he did not care that this was what his wife was doing outside? He did not mind that she was using her looks to seal contracts?

Sirius did say that they both fooled around with other people. It seemed like he was telling the truth.

Once Titus returned to his room, he called Rivas.

“Look into a woman for me. The more you find, the better.”

Rivas was curious. Who was she? Why would his boss be thinking about her in the middle of the night?

When he heard that Titus wanted him to look into Kieran Abner’s wife, he became wide awake.

“Boss? Why would you want to look into that woman? You don’t need me to look into her. You might not know this, since you’ve been in Swisserland all this while, but she has a horrible reputation. You just need to Google her, and you’ll find all sorts of negative news about her.”

“I don’t want what’s online.” Titus’s voice was chilly.

“Got it.” Rivas did not dare to say anything else. After all, his boss had always been hot-tempered.
