"You did this?" he asked, pointing at the bedroom, while I nodded with a wide smile plastered on my face.

"Do you like it?" I asked him, grinning from ear to ear.

"I didn't say I like it. Besides, you are a slave here, so you should do your work and not ask me questions," he spoke rudely, making the smile on my face disappear immediately.

"You are really so mean," I murmured under my breath, but couldn't voice it out, as I knew what that might cost me.

"Did you say something?" he asked, turning to look at me.

"No, master, I didn't say anything," I responded, bowing my head, while he sighed softly.

"I really hope so," he mouthed before finally resuming walking, while I just followed behind him.

He is really something else, and I really don't know what to call someone like him.

Honestly, I had no idea that people could be this mean to someone until now.

Joseph was a true definition of mean, and I really wished I had treated him better before. Maybe now I won't be on his blacklist.
