Chapter 206: Confessions From a Friend

Raven inhaled deeply, filling her lungs with the crisp invigorating smell of fresh air. The scent of dew-drenched grass and distant wildflowers mingled with the cool breeze, calming her senses down and offering a momentary respite from the weight of her emotions as she fixated her gaze upon a tombstone with her name engraved on it.

Raven absorbed the gravity of the moment as she observed the tombstone, its surface weathered and aged, but the grass around it was lush and green, showing that it was taken care of properly.

Raven had just come out of Savina’s room. After having a small chat with her and feeding her, she went directly to the place where she was supposedly buried just out of curiosity.

Silence embraced Raven, as if the world itself held its breath. She wondered how many times her tomb was visited, and how many people had missed her and had paid respect to her tomb.
