Alright Lily. It's time for me to go," said Lana to her adopted sister and best friend, Lily.
Lily gave a dull smile. "Send my love to mum, dad and Jay for me."
"You should have come with me, you know?" Lana said picking up her bag from her seat behind her. "They've all missed you like craaazyy," she empasized the last word while hugging her.
"You know why I can't Lana. Let's just drop it."
"C'mon Andrea, it's been 11 years. You..."
"Lana please? Let's not do this. You should board the plane now," she said cutting her speech.
"So what will you be doing during the Christmas holidays?"
"The usual, home alone, online with followers, you know? Okay, now get going already!" Lily insisted with a chuckle. She knew Lana was feeling reluctant to leave and was just stalling because she felt bad leaving her by herself for the Christmas holidays. 'Knowing her, she'll likely start shedding tears if we keep talking. I'm not ready to change my mind, not yet. I definitely can't go back...at least not now,' she thought.
Lana left to board her plane and Lily made her way out of the airport. Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind. She had forgotten to inform Lana to give mum a call before boarding the plane. She abruptly stopped in her tracks, reaching for her phone in her cute handbag. Her sudden stop was unnoticed by one young man in a black tuxedo, busily using his phone. He was holding a paper bag and was being followed by two huge body guards. Due to the circumstances, he accidentally bumped into Andrea, causing him to drop his paper bag and as well causing her purse to fall out of her hand bag.
"I'm so sorry," apologetic Lily exclaimed and went down to pick up the items immediately, not bothering to look at who it was. Gathering the items, she noticed that the other party didn't even bother to help out. That caused her, giving the benefit of the doubt, to assume he was old or handicapped in a way as he was initially the one at fault for bumping into her. Rising to her feet and meeting the gorgeous face of a handsome well-built mascular young man glaring at her with his intense hazel brown eyes, she was stunned for a second and furious the next. 'He has the nerve to glare? This jerk!' she thought, trying to calm her boiling self.
"Clumsy," Antonio said under his breath with an irritated sigh and looked back at his phone.
"Excuse me?!" She said with a lifted brow. One body guard stretched out his hand to receive the paper bag in Lily's possession. "Did 'you' just call me clumsy?" She asked, emphasizing the word 'you' like that made it outrageous.
"Yes. Out of my way," he said coldly, emitting a dark terrifying aura that Lily seemed to miss.
She sighed and lost the little frown on her face. "Okay," she said calmly and he moved his attention back to his phone. Unexpectedly, she moved a step back, stretched her hand in front of the young man and dropped the bag at his feet. Antonio finally looked away from his phone and slowly to the items at his feet, angrily. "Oops! Clumsy me. My bad...jerk," She said with a feigned innocent smile. He looked back at her and anyone else with a sense of desire to live would have been on his or her knees begging. Suddenly losing the cute innocent look, she gave a serious one and said, "First of all, you bumped into me so Manners insists that you apologize for that, not the other way. Secondly, since you're at fault, Manners would have taught you to be a gentleman and at least attempt to pick up the stuff too...and not standby like an aged man or a handicap. How pathetic. You're welcome for the free advise by the way, since I'm guessing Manners also forgot to teach you to say thank you. Good bye."
She started to walk away when she felt a firm grip on her arm. She turned to see the other body guard holding her. "Do you have any idea who I am?" the young man asked with a lifted brow, fury and intrigue plastered on his face.
"I believe your question should be do I care who you are and my answer is a sure bloody no. I don't know and couldn't care any less. Regardless, what I do know is that you need to learn some manners. I suggest you get your guard's hand off me because no matter who you are, I doubt you'd like me to create a scene," she said nonchalantly.
Now, he really had his full attention on her. He got closer to her and whispered into her ear. "I hope you keep up this fiesty act because when you see me, like this, again, you'll be very sorry for today." He moved away with a victorious frightening smirk but was secretly stunned when Lily still seemed unmoved.
"Are you done? Because I'm already tired of looking at you. It's getting boring," she said, looking exhausted and bored.
Antonio chuckled and gestured his guard to release her.
'This wild cat of a person must really be dumb to have been unmoved by my threatening aura. Even if she doesn't know who I am, is she really that dumb to get into an argument with someone who at least looks powerful like I do? Is she really oblivious to my aura? Who are you? Pray I don't find you even though I know I surely will. With this at hand, the holidays seem like they won't be so bad after all,' he thought, looking at her retreating back. "Find out who she is," he said to his guards as one gathered the items on the ground.
"Boss, she left her purse behind," the guard picking up the stuff said.
'Well! You really are dumb after all,' he thought with his devilish smirk as he stared at the cheetah-skin designed purse in the guard's hand.
'Oh poor girl! Does she really not know who he is? Regardless of that, was she really oblivious to the aura he emits? She must have a death wish. Huh! When two hotheads meet,' one guard thought, feeling sorry for Lily.
'Silly girl! She's toast!' the other holding the purse thought.
"Such a dumb girl," Antonio said to himself and nodded at the guard, indicating to put the purse amongst his stuff before continuing their journey.

Lily and Lana's apartment...
That night...
"Oh goodness! How could I have lost my purse?! I remember I put it in my bag before leaving for the airport. Besides, it's nowhere here at home. I've been searching for the past three hours. I sincerely hope I didn't lose it when I met that jerk. What if it really did fall out of my bag back there? Worst, what if he has it?" Lily seemed like she was about to cry.
"Calm down Lily," Lana said over the video call on Lily's laptop. "Maybe you dropped it when you were with me. Go back to the airport tomorrow and ask. You may not get your money back but at least you could get your purse, card and other stuff."
"I really hope so at the very least. But to be honest, I can't shake off the fact that it could be in the hands of that narcissistic jerk as we speak," she said, losing hope that she would ever get it back. They spoke a little more and ended the call as Lana was about getting home.
Trying to lift her own spirits, Andrea took a shower and got into her cozy huge buggy red Christmas sweater and a pair of white shorts with a pair of white and green ankle socks. She decided to watch some movies but twenty minutes into the first one, she lost interest in the idea and headed for her little studio in her room to work, putting some ideas together for her next YouTube video. After, she decided to check out the online shopping website she created to see how things were going. She had only created it about six months earlier and due to her thousands of followers on social media, she already had many people using it.
'Oh God, I really need to find this purse with my stuff intact. Even if the money is gone, I'll still be so happy,' she thought dejectedly as she opened the site.
"WHAT THE..."
Antonio's Mansion...About an hour after the encounter at the airport...Antonio sat in his study trying to work but found it hard to concentrate. The incident from earlier, at the airport, just wouldn't give him a break in his thoughts. He constantly staggered upon the memory, still so stunned that someone had the audacity to disrespect him like that. He didn't really care whether people saw or not. He just couldn't allow Lily off the hook without teaching her a resounding lesson. He opened up a drawer in his desk to take out her purse and took a look at her ID card."Liliana Andrea Cabrera," he read out her name. "She's also of Latin descent." He was scanning the remaining content when he was suddenly interrupted by a knock at the door.Antonio picked up a little remote on his desk and pressed a button, opening the door. It was a woman in a red blazer with a fitting short skirt. She wore a white blouse with a very low neckline underneath the blazer, exposing much of her cleavage. He
"Marcus Elton is indeed the traitor, just as you suspected. Private Detective Donovan acquired these pictures of him meeting up with your ex, Rachael. As seen in the photos, he's handing over a folder which is similar looking and certainly the same as the missing folder containing the Advertising department's fake ideas for the festive season. However, we cannot pin down any particular company Rachael is working with because the ideas seem to have been distributed among three different companies," Lauren said as he went through the pictures. "What would you like to do about it now Boss?""Well done. Now we have almost everything we need. I informed the detective earlier today of another task he needs to complete in order for us to completely pin him down.""What are you talking about Boss?" Lauren asked surprised that there was more to do on this case."Don't worry about that. He can handle it. About the guy Marcus pinned the theft on and fired, I hope you've already paid him his sala
★★★Lily's apartment..."WHAT THE..." Lily boomed, burning with fury. "This person knows who I am yet posted my purse with its content on MY website...TO SELL?!"She stared blankly at the screen for a while, thinking of who it could be. She thought of Antonio but doubted he'd have any time to play games like this. It had been posted about an hour ago. 'Maybe someone else found it and wanted to play with me. Maybe it's a fan?' she desperately hoped.Suddenly, a message was posted in the comment section of that post. 'I will buy it.' Lily panicked. "What if the person sells it?" She immediately picked up her phone and placed a call to the seller's contact provided under the post."Who are you?" Lily asked the moment the call was answered."For someone who gave a lecture about Mr Manners, you seem to be slacking," Antonio responded nonchalantly."Oh God! What wrong have I done to deserve this? Of all the people who could have ended up with my purse, why did it have to be him?" she said o
Meanwhile...Bronx Estate...The Perkins residence..."But I don't understand...""Mum calm down. We have to respect her decision. When she's ready, she'll surely come around," Lana assured her mother, Veronica, as they unpacked her stuff."Tell me what really happened the last time she was here. What really happened with her mum?" Veronica insisted on knowing. She really loved Andrea like she was her very own daughter. She and her husband adopted her at age 12 and has ever since, lived under their protection and in the comfort of their arms. Never did they make Andrea feel like a stranger, at least on purpose. However, it wasn't easy getting her to open up or feel at ease. She was always scared to walk outside at all. At day, she feared meeting her mother and at night, she feared robbers and other bad people.11 years ago...One night, Lana's dad, Martin Perkins, decided to take a walk with his two children, Lana, 13 years of age, and Jake, 6 years. On their way, they saw a woman scr
Two days had gone by but Andrea still refused to say anything about her home. After countless times of trying to convince her to give them information and assuring her that she'll be fine, she finally spoke up but her words were a shock to their very souls."I can't go back home. Everyone who ever cared about me is dead," she sobbed. "Mummy said it's my fault and that I'm bad luck. She sent me away from her before she dies too. She always hated me and now she hates me even more."Veronica immediately rushed out of the room. Martin knew what a softhearted woman his wife was but even he understood her. What on earth could cause a mother to say such hateful words to her daughter? Regardless of whatever it is, how could she say such a thing to a child? He got closer to Lily and tried to calm her down. Seeing that she let him close, he slowly and gently wrapped his arms around her little body. To his surprise she hugged him back."I'm tired sir," she cried," I'm tired of crying and of all
Fortunately, he was right. His sister was there....but unfortunately....she was being dragged away by a drunk man. In the act of saving Andrea, although he wounded the bad man by stabbing his leg from behind with a sharp piece of wood, he was stabbed twice from the back. Andrea screamed for help over and over again, but to no avail. She tried to go get help but he held her hand and said, "Don't go. Stay...stay with me," he said and coughed out blood."Y-You need help. I won't be long, okay?""For someone aspiring to (cough, cough) be a doctor, I know it's over," he said and coughed again. Andrea's mind went blank as though she couldn't comprehend what was happening. Her mind had suddenly refused to register what was going on. "I know what you're doing. I can tell from (cough, cough) from your eyes," he struggled to speak and groaned, as tears started to run out. "Listen carefully to me Lily. You need (groans) to find Uncle Paulo. Ask mum..." He couldn't complete his sentence as he st
Andrea's apartment... Andrea finally got up to fully read the note on the card accompanying the package once again. 'How on Earth could I think such a narcissistic rich brat would be so nice to me?' she thought with a dejected sigh, still staring at the note which said, 'Sweet dreams dearest Andrea. Hope you can join me for breakfast tomorrow. Time and place are at your discretion...if you do accept my invitation, of course. No pressure though....if you're not available tomorrow. There's the entire festive season ahead of us. Love, Austin.' 'Did Lana put him up to this? I mean he is sweet and all but isn't this weirdly extra for someone I've barely spoken to?' she thought, staring at the card and wrapped box on the table before her with a lifted brow. "Oh Lily Andrea, stop overthinking again," she said, face palming herself for being rude about a clearly thoughtful gesture. She placed the card down and opened up the box. "EEEEEE!" she squealed excitedly. "Chocolate!" she whisper-ye
Moments later..."Austin? What are you doing here today? Giving up your off day?" Nicole, a waitress at Royal Blossom cafe restaurant asked when Austin walked in."Hey Nicole," he greeted with a smile as he moved over to the counter. "So many people are here today, much more than usual. Are we giving out free food?""You haven't heard? The boss came here today," she said in a gossipy mood."Why? He was here for the regular inspection two months ago so..." he was saying when a mischievous thought crossed his mind and his expression couldn't hide it. He turned to Yvonne who was already suspicious of his mindset. "Did he come to...""Shut up knuckle head," Yvonne spat blushing as she attempted to smack him with a nearby napkin."It was our 'beloved' Manager of Blossom Chain," Nicole laughed her heart out and chipped in, "Ouuu but he already invited her to a Christmas event...as his date....""Shut up blabbermouth and get back to work. I'm still your boss.""Wait, so if it wasn't him, who
