"So where's your husband, Diandra?" Elle asked, laughing.

I'm currently at their mansion. I'm sitting on the sofa, watching television in their living room while eating delicious pasta when she arrived with her fiancé, who has been staring at me intently since I got here.

I smiled at her, "He'll be here soon, he's still at work," I said calmly.

"Really? Or maybe you're just lying," she smirked.

I glared at her. What's her problem again?

I rolled my eyes. I don't want to argue with her anymore, especially if we're going to fight over something meaningless. I don't want to get stressed again.

I stood up to move to the dining area when she blocked my way. I sighed.

"What's your problem?" I asked listlessly.

It's been a week since we found out I'm pregnant. Hades has become more protective and possessive of me. We haven't seen the doctor yet, but Hades already booked an appointment for us the other day.

He's still not here. Gosh, where in the world is he? He said he would be here before dinner, ghad!

She looked me up and down, with judgment in her eyes. She smirked.

"Even if you wear expensive clothes, it doesn't change the fact that you're a bastard child," she taunted.

I looked at her coldly. I know. I'm not denying it. I'm not proud of it either, but now that I'm pregnant, you can't blame the child for the mistakes of her parents.

I looked at her with a smug face. "You're not making sense. Please, excuse me."

I turned my back on them when she roughly pulled my arm.

She gritted her teeth. "Who do you think you are?" she spat.

I turned to her wearily.

"Don't touch me," I said coldly and pulled my arm away.

Her fiancé was just standing behind her, like we're in some kind of movie.

"You're so bold now, huh? Why?"

I gritted my teeth. We've never been close since we were kids, so I'm used to this kind of attitude from her.

I wanted to speak, but I stopped myself. I bit my lower lip.

I need to calm myself down. My hormones are acting up, and she's getting on my nerves.

"Babe, can you leave us for a moment? I'm just going to talk to my little sister," she said sexily to her fiancé.

"Alright," he gave my sister a smack on the lips before leaving us alone. I can't help but feel disgusted by them.

"What do you want?" I asked calmly.

She raised her eyebrow and gradually smirked. What's her problem again? Does she have nothing better to do than to pick on me every time we see each other?

"Tell me, Diandra, where do you get your nerve?" she muttered.

I gritted my teeth.

She stepped closer to me. Then she crossed her arms, smirking.

"You're here for what? For money?" she chuckled.

Bitterness washed over me. Her words slapped me, even though what she said about me being here for money wasn't true. It hurts because I know deep down I wouldn't be in this situation if I didn't need money. My eyes stung, but I refused to cry in front of her. I stopped myself from crying.

"You don't care about that," I said weakly.

"What's going on here?" I heard Dad's voice from upstairs.

We both looked up and saw Dad coming down from the grand staircase. Meanwhile, Mrs. Fuego looked at me with her cold eyes.

"My daughters!" Dad went to my sister and hugged her, then he went to me.

"Where's your husband, Andra?" he asked.

I bit my lip. "He's almost here," I replied.

Where are you, Hades? Gosh.

Mrs. Fuego chuckled and shook her head, laughing. I tried my best not to be affected by her.

She turned to her daughter.

"Where's Liam, dear?"

"I'm here, Tita!" We turned to Elle's fiancé. He walked cockily towards us.

Where are you, Hades?

Two helpers entered through the double doors and approached us.

"Ma'am, Ma'am Diandra's husband is here," she said.

My heart pounded. I looked at Dad; he looked at me seriously. Meanwhile, his wife and my sister had smirks plastered on their faces, waiting for my husband's arrival.

Two men in black entered first, before Hades.

He had his usual serious expression, but when he saw me, his eyes softened. I smiled. He immediately approached me. He kissed my forehead and placed his hand around my waist.

"I'm sorry, wife. I had to finish my work…" he whispered.

I just nodded and faced them to introduce him. But they were speechless, and the shock on their faces was evident as they looked at my husband. Mrs. Fuego's jaw seemed to drop; her mouth remained open.

"Dad, this is Hades…" I said softly and faced my father, who seemed confused.

"Good evening, Mr. Fuego and Mrs. Fuego," he said coldly.

"G-Good evening, Hades…" Mrs. Fuego greeted hesitantly.

"Mr. Hades Hudson… I didn't expect this," Dad said incredulously.

I looked at Elle when I felt her staring at me. She looked at me furiously, as if she couldn't believe what was happening.

"H-Hades?" her voice trembled. She looked at him with disbelief in her eyes.

My brows furrowed. They know each other?

Our dinner began. Hades was beside me, while Elle and Liam were on the opposite side, facing us. Mrs. Fuego and Dad were at opposite ends of the table.

"I didn't know you'd still be my son-in-law after you rejected my proposal to you back then…" Dad said in surprise.

I furrowed my brow. What proposal? I looked at Hades. His jaw tightened.

"Are you really married?" Elle asked coldly. We all looked at her.

Her eyes were filled with anger as she stared at me.

"What did that slut do to you to make you pretend to be her husband, Hades?" she reprimanded.

My grip on my spoon tightened. But before I could speak, Hades stood up.

"Don't you dare talk to my wife that way!" he thundered. My heart beat fast. His cold voice was terrifying.

"H-Hades, it's fine." I held his hand.

I shrieked when Elle slammed the table. She stood up, furious, and pointed at me.

"How did you manipulate him, huh?" she accused me.

The hell?

"Damn, shut your fvcking mouth!" Hades' voice boomed.

Elle fell silent. I closed my eyes in frustration. Is she really out of her mind?

"W-Wife, are you o-okay? I'm sorry," Hades said worriedly.

I shook my head. I want to leave this place. Gosh, I wish we hadn't come here.

"Elle, stop embarrassing your sister!" I heard Mrs. Fuego say. She made her daughter sit, then she murmured something to her.

My brow furrowed. My heart was pounding, and I was slowly feeling angry, but I was trying to calm myself.

"Please, hija, calm down, Elle. I want to discuss the investment in our company with Hades," Dad said, changing the topic.

I bit my lower lip. He only thinks about his daughter. Even if she's at fault, he would never side with me against her. She's his legitimate daughter, after all. I shouldn't have expected anything.

I clenched my eyes tightly as my vision blurred and I felt a sudden dizziness.

I looked at Hades, who was glaring at Dad.

"I bought all your stocks already. How's that for your company now?" Hades said ruthlessly. I swallowed. I'd heard before that he's known as ruthless and merciless when it comes to business, but I'd never seen this side of him before.

I could see the shock on Dad's face at Hades' words.

Dad looked at me like he was saying something. I looked away.

"Let's go home, hubby," I said firmly and stood up. I took his arm and stepped away.

"Dad, do something!" I heard Elle yell at our father.

My body felt heavier and heavier. I heard Hades say something, but I didn't understand anymore, and my vision blurred further until I could no longer see anything.

I immediately recalled what happened.I fainted!Oh my goodness, my child!Tears welled up in my eyes as I caressed my stomach. I've been so reckless. I didn't even think about the effect this would have on my child. I'm sorry, baby. Mommy won't do it again...But even though I think I fell, I don't feel any pain in my body. Hades was behind his swivel chair when I entered. He was standing, holding a phone to his ear, talking to someone. His other hand was in his slacks pocket. I couldn't hear what he was saying. He was looking out, facing the glass wall, where other tall buildings and the hot weather were visible.I bit my lower lip as I stared at him. His black long-sleeved shirt hugged his body tightly. His broad shoulders looked more defined without his coat, which was draped over his swivel chair.I swallowed hard. My heart beat fast, and I felt my face heat up. Gosh, how can such a perfect man even exist?!When I closed the door and fully entered, he turned to me. He looked serious and dangerous. When he saw me, his eyes softened.I walked toward his desk. Before I got close, he put down the phone.I wanted to ask who he was talking to, but I stopped myself. I decided to go downstairs, but as I stood up, my vision suddenly spun. Shit! I sat back down on the bed, holding my head. I waited a while for the dizziness to pass, but it was replaced by a churning stomach. Feeling nauseous, I ran to the bathroom. My eyes watered from the excessive vomiting. Even when I had nothing left to throw up, I still felt nauseous. I hate this! I've been like this for several days, and it seems to be getting worse! When I finally stopped, I cried. I hate you, Hades! I hate you so much! I leaned against the wall while wiping my tears when my stomach churned again. I faced the toilet again. Ugh! This is awful! Tears rolled down my cheeks. I hate this. I hate this! My tears kept falling even after I stopped vomiting. I slowly stood up and faced the mirror. Sweat was dripping from my forehead. W
