Chapter 8: Luna's Vengeance

“Did Lily's mother came back and helped me?” Princess Hana ask, it was the only reasonable thing she could think of.

“Who?” Luna Dianne was confuse, who was this lily her daughter was talking about?

“Ah.. nevermind, maybe I'm just hallucinating” Princess Hana said shaking her head, just seeing how her mother acted, she already knew that lily's mother didn't went back to help her, but this made her confused.

“Take some rest sweetie, don't overthink yourself too much. Everything will definitely come to pass, just remember that whatever happens, we are always be here behind your back” Luna Dianne stated kissing her forehead.

“Thanks Mom” She replied hugging her mother back.

“Beta, summon this person named lily and her family” Luna Dianne spoke towards Beta Jack after they left Princess Hana's room.

Although she looks happy on the surface, she really isn't. That was her daughter, her beloved one, how could she be happy seeing her suffering like that? She sat on her throne next to Alpha Broderick's seat.

She was currently in the pack house royal room, a place where the Alpha or Luna judge those subjects that committed crime. It was also the place where they relaxed and wait for reports.

'This lily must know something' she thought.

Beta Jack went outside ordering the royal guard to fetch a person named lily and her family.

He waited for several minutes before the guard he commanded came back with a little girl, a woman and a man who was having a scared face.

“Beta, they're here” the guard respectfully said as the person in front of him was of higher status.

“Good” Beta Jack complimented as he look towards the trio scanning them from top to bottom.

“G-greetings B-beta” Lily's mother and father greeted stuttering, their face was currently full of sweat.

Lily on the other hand stared curiously at Beta Jack but didn't say anything. Her silence made her mother and father afraid as Beta Jack might got angry because of it. They hastily made her bow to show respect or death will be on their way.

“Follow me” Beta Jack commanded indifferently not minding their actions.

The trio followed after him and arrived at a majestic room, there are many seats from left to right while up in front of them was a stair, leading to a throne where two seats could be seen with a big statue of a wolf behind it.

On one of the chairs, a beautiful lady could be seen overlooking at them with cold pressure. If princess Hana was here, she'll definitely thought it wasn't her mother as her mother wasn't like this.

“Greetings my Luna, the subjects that you asked to be summoned was here” Beta Jack spoke in a respectful matter as Luna Dianne has higher status than him.

Luna Dianne move her hand signaling Beta Jack to move to the side which he obeyed immediately. She then stared towards the trio while exuding a heavy pressure that only nobles can do.

Lily's mother and father kneeled shaking on the floor with their heads bowed, but Lily stood still staring at Luna Dianne in awe. “You have a pure child, you must be proud of her?”

When the two heared her, their hearts couldn't help but beat faster. It was also hard just gulping their saliva, “I-It's an honor to receive such praise your majesty”

“Alright, tell me your names” Luna Dianne commanded emotionlessly.

Lily's mother look at her husband who was sweating profusely, afterwards she said, “My name is Rose and this is my husband Sebastian, this little one here is our daughter Lily”

“Omega's?”

“Y-yes”

“Omega Rose, I'm curious, where are you and your family a day ago?” Luna Dianne asked staring at Rose.

“W-we're in our house..” Rose replied, she know that if she tells her the truth, they'll be punished. She know that the person who helped her daughter to get the kite and falls on the tall tree was the princess of the pack.

But because of the ancestral teaching, she believe she was a cursed being, a person that they have to distance themselves. If they get in contact with her, their family will be curse with misfortune.

And today, the Luna suddenly summoned them, she know the reason why and was afraid. She swore to deny everything, if she didn't, they'll be dead for sure.

Her body was full of cold sweat, it was her first time encountering something like this. She know that what she did a day ago was wrong, but what can she do? It already happened.

Hearing her response, Luna Dianne smiled faintly before saying, “I won't be beating around the bush, tell me, why didn't you help my daughter after she had fallen from that tall tree? Why did you just left her who was in need of your help?”

Rose and her husband paled, their figure could be seen trembling a little. She hastily stood up from her kneeled position and said in denial. “You're wrong! We didn't left the house, we didn't even met or seen the princess a day ago!”

“Impudence! How dare you talk to the Luna like that!” Beta Jack loudly shouted before appearing in front of Rose in an instant. He raised his right hand and slapped Rose who was immediately thrown away by the force.

“Honey!”

“Mother!”

Sebastian and Lily shouted fast as the both of them hurried over towards her. Tears fall down their eyes, it was a tear of anger, sadness, and regret.

Rose face which was slapped by Beta Jack got swollen, thanks to Beta Jack holding back or else rose must've been a corpse by now. “You better show respect to the Luna or your life will end here”

Sebastian gritted his teeth, he was greatly enraged by what Beta Jack did. That was his wife, his reverse scale, how could he let anyone bully her just like that? He clenched his fist hard, he planned to fight the Beta but his wife stopped him.

“Your majesty, I apologize for what my wife just did” He said pleading while on his knees before adding, “But.. what my wife said was the truth, we really didn't leave our house that day”

Luna Dianne frowned, pondering that her suspicion was wrong. Suddenly, her eyes caught a glimpse of the kite rested on the side, it was the kite reported that her daughter was hugging while unconscious on the ground.

She picked it up and said calmly, “Lily, is this yours?”

Rose and Sebastian look at the thing the Luna was holding and couldn't help but have their eyes constricted.
