Brandon's POV:

I was still. The only thing that reminded me I was alive was the fact that I was still breathing. I felt numb to the world around me. Not only did I lose the love of my life, but I lost our daughter, too. She was inches from me, and I lost her. I didn't know how to feel, especially when feeling anything felt wrong.

It's all my fault.

  • I was never Human   Library of Alphas

Eve's POV: Since we entered the office of Councilmen Gavin and Nora, I've watched the woman named Heather. She was older than everyone in the room, though her hair maintained its half and half coloring of silver and white. She looked incredibly young for someone much older. Her age showed in the way she carried herself and the way she spoke. She spoke the truth without judgment, and made life black and white without losing its nuisance. Once we cleared the room of everyone, the six of us took seats to begin. "Now, I'd like to tell you why I needed to speak with you all alone. The Stonewalls are directly linked to Kwen in the sense of her lineage, considering she comes form a dual Chosen heritage. We all know how the council came to be and that Celene was the one that placed them as the head of Council, as long as they kept a virtuous heart and clear mind. What no one knows is Cimone helped placed them there as well." From the silence that weighted heavily in the room, I could tell

  • I was never Human   For Kwen

Brandon's POV: I was still. I'm the cause of Kwen's suffering. I'm the cause of the rift between my parents and I, and between my son. I let "sheep in wolves clothing" into my pack. In return, they ran a muck. I'm the cause of Kwen's early adulting when she had to care for her mother, while she, herself, was a child. I was the caused of Minnie's loneliness, while I had 12 long years of a family and someone to stay by my side. But most importantly... I'm the cause of Minnie's death. My grief knew no bounds. It consumed me, wanting to be let out, but had no place to go. I felt arms wrapped around my one. Blonde hair and gray eyes met me. "Daddy? Are you ok?"

  • I was never Human   Something must die

Connor's POV:It was dinner time and I sat in the private dinning hall, used only by the alpha and his family. I cut into my steak and took a bite. The door opened, and my eyes drifted up to see who walked in. Roman took a seat at the far end and began to eat his meal. I smirked."Did I forget to teach you manners? Your mother would be disappointed."He slammed his fist on the table, shaking everything. I picked my glass of wine up before it spilled."Don't speak about my mother that way!!"I snorted."Why not? It's not like you knew her. You know of here, but she was my mate. I knew her before you were born. I am your father, which means I can speak about whomever I so choose. THAT includes your mother."I said, narrowing my eyes aqt my son. He gave me a cold stare back, before pushing out of the table, making a hasty exit. As soon as he left out, my beta walked right in after him. I continued on with my dinner. My beta stood without saying a word. His presence was beginning to annoy

  • I was never Human   Promise of death

Kwen's POV: My body shifted, rocked, and slid, jostling me awake. I squished my eyes together before opening them. My eyes scanned around. The lights of the night flashed by, filtering into the windows of the van. It was good and dark, so I had to have been out for a bit. My mind was still abit fuzzy. Voices began to filter through the haze. I tried my best to stay silent as I listened in on the conversation. "She's still sleep back there." "It's been a good hour so far. We don't know if it'll last long or not. So keep an eye on her." "At least we're almost there." Three men spoke, keeping a steady flow of conversation. "I feel cheated though. Shouldn't she have been incredibly strong or something? Where the fuck was that at?" One questioned. I frowned. Well fuck you too. "It doesn't matter. It's better easier. Luckily, that man showed up when he did." "Yeah. That's Alpha Brandon. He's her father." "Who the fuck was the other girl?" My heart fluttered uncomfortably against

  • I was never Human   Thought low, born high

Edward's POV:This is fucking ridiculous!! There's no way this nobody is this powerful!! She held the entire room hostage. No one could move their body. I think only the prince could because he's her mate, and that witch and human girl because they aren't wolves. I was pissed that she had gotten the better of me in a storm that I wanted. I wanted to be angry with Lisa for not telling me the extent of that girl's power, but when I look back on it, I didn't give her a chance to say much of anything before I told her she had to sacrifice her son and/or mate. I wasn't any better when I returned to get a potion from Adona to give to Sierra. I was furious she contacted Sierra and told her what we had planned. I was careless, and in return, Lisa stayed silent. So when that girl mentioned that she cleared away the layered spell Ava casted on Brandon in one go, I knew we were potentially fucked!! I never thought to ask many questions, and that's on me. The only thing I could do, was watch the

  • I was never Human   Believe it, hoe!!

Cersai's POV:I smelled a sudden sweet smell, and it nudged at my senses. Before I could fully enjoy its scent, reality smacked me in the face. Miza yelled for me to take Kwen to her room. That told me that whatever potion she gave Kwen wore off. I don't understand!! It worked just fine all yesterday. Why isn't it working now?! Miza and I jumped over the boundary of the high rise and ran to Kwen. I could already see her eyes shifting."What the hell is going on?!!"Gaines yelled, still shielding Sierra. I frowned at her before focusing back on Kwen."Kwen, you have to come back to me."I said, laying both hands on her shoulders. I tried standing in her sight to get her focus on me and off Sierra. Her eyes were shifting from her golden green to that icy blue I've seen only once. Her scent began to flare up more and I started to get nervous."KWEN! YOU HAVE TO COME BACK!!"I roared out, smashing her face between my hands. She was still zoned out and unaffected by me."I think she burned

  • I was never Human   Try me!

I busted out laughing, damn near bent over, crying in laughter. Once I was able to calm down, I stood up straight, wiping at my eyes. "Woo, Lisa, girl, that was funny as hell. I think I misheard you, or you need to be a comedian cause I know for a fact you didn't just tell this man I was his futur

  • I was never Human   Owen

The semester had finally restarted. I sat in a café near the medical school and brought a drink and a pastry. Looking out amongst the crowd, I awaited my target."Speak of the devil, and she shall appear."I whispered to myself. I was kinda taken aback. She seemed different. She strolled into the c

  • I was never Human   End of year

I woke up the next day with a message from Ceri telling me that we would have to reschedule our training session. He had to go home for an emergency. I assume it had something to do with what his parents came down here for in the first place. I told him it was cool, and I'd catch him up with the la

  • I was never Human   Only a dream

"Yo, Kwen! Where's your head at today?!"I heard Commander Bruce yell at me for the ump- tenth time tonight. I was sparing with the guys. For whatever reason, I just couldn't concentrate. Everything felt outta focus. I just so happened to be sparring with Stephen, and he was one of the best opponen
