~Owen~

"So how are you going to stop Elowen's plans from happening? The moment she does it and the news is out, that would be the end of her marriage with you. You wouldn’t want your image to be tainted, would you?" Melvin asked eagerly.

I could only imagine the ruin it would bring to Elowen, one that would destroy her career and reputation if she imposed the scandal.

So the lady could put up such a fight just to save herself from this marriage few days after her father had taken to his social media handles with millions of followers to announce the sudden engagement of his daughter and the wedding date already set to be in a few days.

But does she know that her actions instead of saving the Walkers, could only put them in more danger than she thought to save them?

"Who said I was going to stop the scandal from happening?" I stated, putting Melvin in more shock, this time at my words.

Tsk. There are sweet ways of dealing with the ruthless, and Melvin doesn’t know it. And I'm going to use those ways on the Walkers.

"What...what do you mean, boss? Are you letting her go ahead with the scandal? Are you letting her father go unpunished?”

I scoffed. I knew the best ways to deal with my preys. "Letting the Walkers go is like letting the cheat slip through the cracks. The scandal will happen, but let's see who this is going to turn out to be in his favor."

Melvin's brows shot together as he tried to pinpoint what I meant.

"Let me have the location," I ordered.

Melvin brows etched in surprise as he barely tempered his tension. “There is no way you‘re going there yourself.”

“The location, Melvin.”

“Sure…sure. No one in this world surprises me more than you do, boss.” He quizzed.

"Haven hotel. 340 Sand Hill. Time 9 pm. Room 1001. She had also planned to record the scene and put up the video as a leaked video later." Instantly, he gave all the information to me.

"Interesting," I muttered, processing the information.

"Let's see who enjoys this game more." I mused.

"Bring the maid to clean the mess on the floor. I'll be home late." I ordered, flipping off the half piece of clothing keeping the rest of his skin covered as Melvin almost snapped out of reality.

"What are you still waiting for?" I glared at him.

"I ... Sorry… I will go get the maid now. Do enjoy the rest of your evening." He hushed. This time, he didn’t scream I was indeed a god of beauty. Instead, he flipped his tongue over his lips as if to wet my body with it. He turned, rushing out of the door.

I sighed, snatching my gray shirt from the dresser. This was not one of the good days to pay attention to him. He sure would have gotten a piece from me.

Now, dressed with shirt unbuttoned at the collar, it peeked out from beneath the long, dark jacket slumped casually over my shoulders, sleeves dangling empty like limp wings.

My trousers, a matching dark hue, broke neatly at the ankles, revealing scuffed leather shoes.

I wore back my face. The face with a haunting scar. The face that made people call me a horrifying human.

Time checked. A few hours to 9 pm.

It was time to have some more fun playing with my prey.

~~~
Haven Hotel, room 1001.
The door creaked open.
Swiftly, I shifted my gaze away from the space to the man stepping into the room. I kept my eyes on him, watching as he shrugged off his jacket, tossed it onto the bed, and headed for the bathroom.
Halfway there, something, perhaps instinct made him pause.
He turned, his eyes now locking onto my figure seated calmly by the open window, half-draped in darkness.
He froze, nearly jumping out of his own skin.
I could see dread wrap around him as he shivered from where he stood. He must be desperately wishing the ground to open and swallow him whole rather than have a man with a horrifying scar on his face stare back at him.
Immediately, he rushed backwards, fumbling until his hands grasped the door handle. His eyes widened in terror as he pointed at me with trembling fingers. "Who are you?" He demanded, frantically fishing his phone from his pocket, probably, to confirm the room number.
Perhaps seeing he was in the right room, he shouted, "I'm asking, who the hell are you and how did you get in here?" He demanded again. Then, suddenly he paused, rolling his eyes to the side. A shock on his face.
"It's up to a hundred feet down from here. Don't tell me you got in through the window. Unless..."
He didn't get to finish as I slid my hair backwards and began advancing towards him.
"I should be the one asking who you are," I said calmly, my voice smooth and deliberate. "But since you bit me to it, I accept being the gentleman first." At this point, I watched him twist the doorknob, however, it didn't bulge.
My lips drew into an amused glint, watching as fear rooted him to the spot, perhaps wondering what I had done to stop the door from opening.
"I'm sure you've heard about me before." I continued, now stopping right in front of him. "However, have not seen my face." Hovering up to 2 feet above the man, I crouched slowly until his eye level. With my fingers, I tipped his face up to look right into my face.
"How dare you want to mess with the woman of Owen Vitmoz?" I questioned, the sound of my voice instilling coldness in his body. I’m sure this time, he would wish he possessed the powers to disappear.
“It’s you… Owen Vitmoz. The man with the scared face. The man whom no man dares to cross. What… what kind of hell have I walked into?” He cried.
“My hell indeed” I chuckled, letting my fingers play with his jaw. “She must have promised you that no one would find out about what you two were about to do.
Tsk. You had believed in her words thinking of the huge amount of money you would receive. Turned out the plan is about to destroy you”
I could see the tears in his eyes. This time he must be questioning what reason she had to do this to him? He would have continued to live his innocent life if he had not been invited to do this in the first place.
And now he was encountering this dangerous man.
"I...I have nothing to do with your fiancée, Sir." He stammered desperately to save his innocent life. "I don't even know who she is. I believe I'm in the wrong room. She's not the woman I was supposed to meet."
"I see," I drooled, nodding thoughtfully. “I’m sure the lie tastes bitter in your mouth, hoping I would believe you.” I laughed, a creepy laughter as I watched him getting drenched by his own sweat. "Let me say I believe you."
Hope flickered across his face only to die instantly as I continued.
"However, Owen Vitmoz doesn’t hate it when men try to play the game ahead of him. In fact…" I let my smile deepen. "He enjoys it most when they try to touch what belongs to him."
I could feel his soul abandoning him.
Suddenly, I stepped away from him, giving him time to ponder my next move. Immediately, he went on his knees begging for his life. However, my commanding voice sliced through his pleas.
"Silence!" My demeanor changed into something dark and dangerous. However, in a second, I slowly let it soften into a very sweet version of me.
"Who said I was going to kill you? I'm not as cruel as you think. I don't kill innocent hookers like you. Don't worry, I'll spare your life... But for attempting to have what is mine, you'll serve me for the rest of your life."
Immediately, he pressed his forehead on the floor, begging, "I'll do anything....Anything as long as you spare my life."
"Good," I muttered. Seeing him tremble in fear, a satisfactory glint appeared in my eyes. "I know everything about you," I went on calmly.
"Your mother. Your sister. They’re living quite freely. However, if you want them to continue living in a peaceful life..." I pulled out a card, letting it fall just out of reach, "You have only thirty minutes to present yourself at my place. Don’t think of being clever. You’ll regret it."
He scrambled for the card, desperately clutching onto it. "I swear," He cried. "I'll serve you for the rest of my life. Please...leave my family out of this."
"Now leave," I ordered, letting him stand. I watched him, his legs barely supporting him as he staggered toward the door and fled the room.
"This is just the beginning of the game," I smirked, returning to my seat on the open window.
Settling into my seating position once more, this time I waited until Elowen entered the room.
A knowing smile curved up my lips as I reached up removing the scarred face. "For the first time, I'm going to reveal my true face to you, Elowen."
I let my gaze drift around the room until it settled on the bed. A soft chuckle rose from my throat at what played in my mind. "Let's see how this is going to turn out, Elowen."
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    24— New CEO
    ~Elowen~I woke up to the throbbing of my head, the aching of my body, and light sipping in through the open window and shining directly on my face. My whole body ached, part from too much tossing and turning on my bed and part from thinking of my new fate all through the night.Good thing he had not returned last night, giving me the chance to spend the night alone in the room, thinking, wondering where he had gone, what he was up to, wary of him walking right back through the door and running his fingers on me again.I kept asking myself questions I could not bring an answer to. Who truly was he? What life had he lived to earn him that scar? Who were those people who visited him last night that he left without returning?It seemed darkness lurked just knowing he's there somewhere.My phone buzzed, cutting short my deep thoughts, reminding me I should have been at the studio yesterday.I took the phone, staring at the caller ID. It was my manager.I was supposed to have been at the
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    23— It's Time
    ~Owen~“I have no idea of all you're talking about, Mr Vitmoz. Please believe me. I speak the truth. I know nothing about him and all the accusations.” He denied.I scoffed. "Fine. Since you want us to continue with this game. Then so be it. You and I are going to enjoy it." "Lock him up," I ordered Melvin, walking out of the cell room. Instantly, Mr Walker's grunting voice echoed off the bars, begging to be freed.Melvin proceeded to lock the bars from the outside."Mr Vitmoz, please don't do this to me. Please don't keep me here. I can't stand it!" Groaning, he struggled to his feet gripping the bars with his chained hands but he still was not giving any information."If you want to be freed. You know what to do." Let's see how long Whitehead can keep hiding. Having Walker here will send a clear message to him."I brought a friend who would take care of you while you make here your new home. Bring him in." Again, I ordered Melvin.A man came shuddering in front of Melvin as he was
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    22— Always Very Mischievous
    ~Owen~ I let my fingers tap slowly on the iron bars, then silently walked the space closer to the man in front of me as his eyes slid open. Every time I saw his face gave me a reason to make him suffer. Those memories, fresh in every new day lived far beyond what I could get rid of even after rebirth. But then, fate had its way. Only if he had not been reborn into this world as the father of my mate, I could only imagine what would have become of him right now. Noting how his years of trying to live like a human affected his eyes, he blinked several times to get acquitted with the dimly lit room. However, I knew he saw nothing. He did not need to be blind folded to stop him from seeing. With his lenses removed from his eyes, it did the work without stress. I watched him struggle just to know where he is. Melvin dusted his hands on his pants, smiling at his efforts in fixing the flickering light in the room before moving aside to speculate on the scene. “I know you‘re l
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    21— Playing Smart Games
    ~Owen~ A few minutes later, I stood at the center of a vast circular chamber where symbols of the ancient vampire history were etched into the rocky walls, glowing faintly from the moonlight that filtered in through the cracks in the mountain's top. The air was still, cold, and silent inside the mountain of Evron. A place where the 50 Elders of the vampires dominated behind the human knowledge. I trailed my eyes to the throne at the end of the chamber, carved from black stone and adorned with pure gold and silver inlays that cast powerful shadows on the floor. He was there a foot away from his throne, seated cross-legged on a velvet meditation mat. Before him rested small arrangements of ancient scrolls, and around him were candles glowing faintly. He seemed lost in thought rather than meditating. The moment he noticed my presence, his eyes opened, swiftly rising to his feet. "Greetings to you, my Prince." He bowed. "Long time no see, Supreme Elder," I responded approaching the
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    20— Arising Conflict: The Enemy Is Alive
    ~Owen~ Looking out through the window from the study room where we stood, the moon had risen in the sky, spreading its golden hues across the globe. My gaze lingered on Elder Ashford whose every bit of him spoke nothing short of wisdom. Asking Melvin to get information from him, I knew that whenever he decided to meet me at the mansion himself, there was always a strong reason behind it. "If I'm not mistaken Elder Ashford, it's only two days since I last bought my tea from you. Two teapots are still left untouched and wouldn't finish any time soon before the week runs out. You shouldn't have given yourself the trouble of bringing another, I would've ordered Melvin to get me another one when I'm in need." I spoke. He was not just one of the Elders in the council, he was my watchman who reports to me everything that happens in the council. Settling the teapot on the table, he clasped his hands together staring up at me. "I know, my Prince. I had added a new flavor to the tea.
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    19— To Be Wary Of Him
    ~Elowen~ I loathed the fact that he made me do whatever he wanted, and that it seemed I also waited for him to order me to eat the food I had ordered by myself. I hated it more because I was finding it difficult to protest against my food being tampered with. Cautious of his lingering eyes on me, I picked up the spoon and munched as quickly as I could, as if that would help this desperate need in me to get away from him. I was too hungry now that I couldn't hold myself anymore or have the time to get angrier. "Take it easy or you'll choke on yourself." He spoke far too late as I held my throat feeling the chunk of food crashing down my throat. "You see, I warned you." He reached out, pouring a glass of water and extending it to me. "Learn to reduce your tension when you're with me, I don't think the scar on my face bites too." He added just in time I set the cups down to land my eyes on his face again. His long spiral curls now cascaded down his structured shoulders, manicure
    ~Elowen~ His thumb came against the fabric of my panties, making way for his fingers to find my clit. And it did and then paused right there. "No!" I gasped. But he already began circling my clit with agonizing slowness, teasing the sensitive nub making my hip buckle up, and causing the remaining
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    4— One-Night Stand.
    ~Elowen POV~ I can see the smug that never left his face. He watched me. I feared he would see how my chest rose and fell in an attempt to catch a good breath. I could sense the curiosity in him or skepticism...something I could barely decipher until I felt the tip of his fingers on my jaw. Brus
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    3— Plan B
    ~Elowen PoV~ A few hours later. I stood in front of Haven's hotel, its tower pressing in on me. I acknowledged the environment as it eased a little of the chaos in my mind. It was a place free of swarming fans trying to get a picture of you or making you sign an autograph, and the darkness of the
  • IN HELL WITH YOU    Rejected Offer
    ~Elowen POV~ For the third time, he rejected the million-dollar compensation offered to him. Who the hell does he think he is?! I stared at the rejected document crumbling at the intensity of my grip on it, a bitter laugh escaping my lips at my own question. Of course, I know who he was. He was
