~Elowen PoV~

A few hours later. I stood in front of Haven's hotel, its tower pressing in on me.

I acknowledged the environment as it eased a little of the chaos in my mind. It was a place free of swarming fans trying to get a picture of you or making you sign an autograph, and the darkness of the night did an awesome job of hiding my face from people who could easily spot me.

The moment my presence was made known in the front office of the hotel came the admiration from those who quickly recognized me. It was a beautiful thing to know so many see me as their idol. One of the things I'd become blessed to experience was the love I had impacted on people as one of the city's A-list actresses.

But do they know what a woman whom they respected so much was about to do behind closed doors?

I felt relieved that they kept a safe distance as I walked to this particular receptionist who lowered her head on seeing me. "Good evening Ma'am, welcome back to Haven's hotel." She greeted me pleasantly.

"Thank you," I muttered as she quickly confirmed something on her computer, then said, "You informed us you have a guest visiting you in your room, is that right ma'am?"

"Yes, that's right." I wasn't surprised she asked. Hotel policy for safety. "I'm sure he has arrived by now?"

"Yes, he arrived a few minutes ago. Here's the access card to your room." She said, handing the card to me.

"Thank you," The moment I left, the doubt in the eyes of the lady did not go unnoticed.

But I did not care.

Making for the elevator, in a few minutes, it dung to reveal the five-star decor of a luxurious hotel corridor.

I identified my room and with just one touch of the card on the door, it unlocked. The moment I stepped in, the room's biting air hit me.

There, I met him standing at the window side staring at the outer space, not moving.

Without hesitation, I kicked the shoes off my feet and tossed them aside together with my purse, however, the man at this point made no move.

"Are you going to stand there all day? Won't you let me see your face?" I questioned, not that I had the time for formalities or wanted any. I didn't care to know his name either but at least, it was important to know the face of my one-night stand to make sure to stay clear of him in the future.

He then, finally turned to reveal his face to me.

At this point, I knew I felt my breath leave my lungs.

Broad-shouldered, his hair in spiral black curls falling just enough to shadow the smoldering silver-gray of his eyes, adding a casual yet sophisticated charm.

Face sharp and symmetrical, with a chiseled jawline, high cheekbones, and a straight nose, creating a classical, almost sculpted appearance.

With a flip of my hair to the side, I took a step dominating the presence as I let my eyes ogle him one more time, in a way to make him understand his loyalty to me.

I forced a deep breath, not bad.

At least, losing my dream first night with a stranger was going to be with a man good looking.

I couldn't hide the fact that he wasn't just good-looking, but breathtaking.

"It's time to get this done with," I said, voice coming out more like an order. In a nut of surprise, he began taking some steps towards me, steps that pressed a commanding aura I least expected, stopping just right in front of me.

Lowering his head close to me, he brought his hand tugging stray hairs behind my ear as he whispered, "Are you sure of what you're about to do?" He asked, as if he had the authority to question me in that manner which made my brows knit.

"I paid you to have me for the night. Not to ask a stupid question. I'm not a kid to know what I want, so go ahead and do your job well." I couldn't help but snap his hand off my face which his lips now pulled into a smug look.

~Owens Vitmoz POV~

I noticed her step into the room. For a moment I didn't look at her, a smirk playing on my lips. And when she demanded to see my face, I finally turned to give her what she asked for.

My gaze met hers, I wasn't surprised that Elowen didn't tremble at the sight of me. The face she knew about his arranged husband was not the one she was seeing right now. I had removed the fake skin that had believable human skin and scars on it as if it were my own flesh.

I looked down at her feet where her shoes were already tossed aside and held her eyes for a while drinking in her features. She was sweetly beautiful in a way that felt effortless. Her brown-golden hair caught the light, soft and radiant, framing a face kissed by gentleness.

Even as she was struggling to appear strong, her rosy lips and soft brown eyes didn't hide the deep calmness, making her gaze both comforting and quietly captivating.

She wore a pretty little dress that suited her perfectly. It clung just enough to hint at her shape while remaining modest, the kind of dress that made her look lovely, as if it had been chosen to match the sweetness she carried within.

"It's time to get this done with." She said coolly and I barely held back a smirk at the way her confidence pulled me in.

I walked up to her, playing with her hair for a while before asking her a question to make sure she knew what she was about to do. However, her answer amazed me.

"Do what I paid you for and not ask a stupid question. I'm not a kid to know what I want, so go ahead and do your job well." She replied, smacking my hand off.

Impressive. I almost chuckled. Indeed she had quite an impressive commanding aura.

However, what will become of her when she finds out that the person she was about to end up in a scandal with, will be none other than me, Owen Vitmoz? The man behind her nightmare– The scarred husband she was running away from?

~Elowen~I woke up to the throbbing of my head, the aching of my body, and light sipping in through the open window and shining directly on my face. My whole body ached, part from too much tossing and turning on my bed and part from thinking of my new fate all through the night.Good thing he had not returned last night, giving me the chance to spend the night alone in the room, thinking, wondering where he had gone, what he was up to, wary of him walking right back through the door and running his fingers on me again.I kept asking myself questions I could not bring an answer to. Who truly was he? What life had he lived to earn him that scar? Who were those people who visited him last night that he left without returning? It seemed darkness lurked just knowing he's there somewhere. My phone buzzed, cutting short my deep thoughts, reminding me I should have been at the studio yesterday.I took the phone, staring at the caller ID. It was my manager.I was supposed to have been at the

  • IN HELL WITH YOU    23— It's Time

~Owen~“I have no idea of all you're talking about, Mr Vitmoz. Please believe me. I speak the truth. I know nothing about him and all the accusations.” He denied.I scoffed. "Fine. Since you want us to continue with this game. Then so be it. You and I are going to enjoy it." "Lock him up," I ordered Melvin, walking out of the cell room. Instantly, Mr Walker's grunting voice echoed off the bars, begging to be freed.Melvin proceeded to lock the bars from the outside."Mr Vitmoz, please don't do this to me. Please don't keep me here. I can't stand it!" Groaning, he struggled to his feet gripping the bars with his chained hands but he still was not giving any information."If you want to be freed. You know what to do." Let's see how long Whitehead can keep hiding. Having Walker here will send a clear message to him."I brought a friend who would take care of you while you make here your new home. Bring him in." Again, I ordered Melvin.A man came shuddering in front of Melvin as he was

  • IN HELL WITH YOU    22— Always Very Mischievous

~Owen~ I let my fingers tap slowly on the iron bars, then silently walked the space closer to the man in front of me as his eyes slid open. Every time I saw his face gave me a reason to make him suffer. Those memories, fresh in every new day lived far beyond what I could get rid of even after rebirth. But then, fate had its way. Only if he had not been reborn into this world as the father of my mate, I could only imagine what would have become of him right now. Noting how his years of trying to live like a human affected his eyes, he blinked several times to get acquitted with the dimly lit room. However, I knew he saw nothing. He did not need to be blind folded to stop him from seeing. With his lenses removed from his eyes, it did the work without stress. I watched him struggle just to know where he is. Melvin dusted his hands on his pants, smiling at his efforts in fixing the flickering light in the room before moving aside to speculate on the scene. “I know you‘re l

  • IN HELL WITH YOU    21— Playing Smart Games

~Owen~ A few minutes later, I stood at the center of a vast circular chamber where symbols of the ancient vampire history were etched into the rocky walls, glowing faintly from the moonlight that filtered in through the cracks in the mountain's top. The air was still, cold, and silent inside the mountain of Evron. A place where the 50 Elders of the vampires dominated behind the human knowledge. I trailed my eyes to the throne at the end of the chamber, carved from black stone and adorned with pure gold and silver inlays that cast powerful shadows on the floor. He was there a foot away from his throne, seated cross-legged on a velvet meditation mat. Before him rested small arrangements of ancient scrolls, and around him were candles glowing faintly. He seemed lost in thought rather than meditating. The moment he noticed my presence, his eyes opened, swiftly rising to his feet. "Greetings to you, my Prince." He bowed. "Long time no see, Supreme Elder," I responded approaching the

  • IN HELL WITH YOU    20— Arising Conflict: The Enemy Is Alive

~Owen~ Looking out through the window from the study room where we stood, the moon had risen in the sky, spreading its golden hues across the globe. My gaze lingered on Elder Ashford whose every bit of him spoke nothing short of wisdom. Asking Melvin to get information from him, I knew that whenever he decided to meet me at the mansion himself, there was always a strong reason behind it. "If I'm not mistaken Elder Ashford, it's only two days since I last bought my tea from you. Two teapots are still left untouched and wouldn't finish any time soon before the week runs out. You shouldn't have given yourself the trouble of bringing another, I would've ordered Melvin to get me another one when I'm in need." I spoke. He was not just one of the Elders in the council, he was my watchman who reports to me everything that happens in the council. Settling the teapot on the table, he clasped his hands together staring up at me. "I know, my Prince. I had added a new flavor to the tea.

  • IN HELL WITH YOU    19— To Be Wary Of Him

~Elowen~ I loathed the fact that he made me do whatever he wanted, and that it seemed I also waited for him to order me to eat the food I had ordered by myself. I hated it more because I was finding it difficult to protest against my food being tampered with. Cautious of his lingering eyes on me, I picked up the spoon and munched as quickly as I could, as if that would help this desperate need in me to get away from him. I was too hungry now that I couldn't hold myself anymore or have the time to get angrier. "Take it easy or you'll choke on yourself." He spoke far too late as I held my throat feeling the chunk of food crashing down my throat. "You see, I warned you." He reached out, pouring a glass of water and extending it to me. "Learn to reduce your tension when you're with me, I don't think the scar on my face bites too." He added just in time I set the cups down to land my eyes on his face again. His long spiral curls now cascaded down his structured shoulders, manicure

~Elowen POV~ The moment I stepped out of the car, I felt my skin prickle. No formal introductions. No pleasantries. N

Melvin, he always knew too much. I wasn‘t surprised. I knew Melvin would come to understand this wasn’t just because her father was my enemy. No one knew the depth of my connection with Elowen. Everything had a reason for it. She was just so unlucky to be born through Walker Dominic. How

  • IN HELL WITH YOU    9— To Be Mysterious.

~Owen POV~ I know she had not expected this to be the outcome after her fight to stop our marriage. Letting another day pass will give her time to think of more strategies to run away from me. And I was not going to give her that chance. Not a bit of it. She was mine. Bound with me forever. T

  • IN HELL WITH YOU    5— The Scandal.

My eyes snapped open. My head jerked to the side, breath catching as his sleeping face flashed before my eyes. Close. Devastatingly close. He lay beside me, utterly unguarded, lashes resting against his cheek, chest rising in a slow, steady rhythm that mocked the chaos pounding inside of me. M
