SASHA

I leaned my back against the door he had slammed and slowly slid down to the floor, my hands pressed to my head.

It suddenly hit me — my soft spot for Williams was still strong. His hoarse voice still gave me chills like it did back then. Why now? I thought I moved on. I thought I was over him. So why did my body tremble when I saw him?

Maybe it was just my way of reacting. Seeing him so suddenly after so long caught me off guard. It was definitely not me falling again. Never.

“Baby, do you mind joining me in the garden?” Daddy called from outside.

Yes! My relationship with Mr. Julius was all that mattered now.

“I’m coming, Darling!” I slipped on my slippers and ran out of my room. Williams will not ruin this moment for me! My breath caught as I raced down the stairs to join Daddy in the garden.

The next morning, I stood near my car, clutching my bag and waiting for Daddy. He dropped me off every day. Even in retirement, that never changed.

“Hey, sugar pie, I’m really sorry. I won’t be dropping you off today. I have an important meeting. Williams will do that for me, okay? Love you!” Daddy kissed me on both cheeks and zoomed off before I could say a word.

“Hey,” Williams waved, jerking the car door open.

“I’ll take a cab instead...” I said, turning to leave, but his hands caught me. Goodness! His hands felt soft and tender as always. My eyes slowly drifted to his face. For a moment, he didn’t realize he still held my hand until I stared down at them—his fingers wrapped around mine.

“I’m sorry about that...” he cooed and let go.

“Dad wouldn’t like the idea of you taking a taxi when there are so many cars here.” He was right, but I didn’t want to ride with him.

“It’s okay then. I’ll do it myself.”

“Hop in.” Williams started the car, ignoring my protests.

I slid inside, facing the window, determined to ignore him. I decided not to speak or even look at him. My phone became my shield as he drove.

“You won’t avoid me forever, you know?” His voice broke the silence after several long minutes.

“I don’t know what you’re insinuating.” I mumbled, pretending to be glued to my phone.

“Those thighs are still beautiful...” I watched him glance down, smack his lips like he wanted to feel them again—he did.

He slowly caressed my legs, and I let out a soft moan. The car stopped by the roadside.

“We shouldn’t be... doing... this, Williams.” I said, closing my eyes and throwing my head back in pleasure. I promised myself I wouldn’t do this. I looked forward to a future with Daddy. Why did Williams bring back these memories? Why was it almost impossible to resist him?

“Tell me you don’t like this. Tell me you don’t want me inside you, and I’ll stop.” He kissed from my neck down to my cleavage, making me release soft moans.

“Goodness!” My body quivered as he undid the buttons of my shirt and pulled my breasts into his mouth. They were huge, so he buried his head and clasped them tightly, rubbing them together.

Damn it! I hadn’t felt this way in a long time. Unlike Daddy, Williams didn’t need to do much to make my pussy throb. He wasn’t inside me yet, but I knew my panties were soaked.

“That’s okay, I should drop you off now.”

I spread my legs wide, waiting for his fingers, but he pulled away from my breasts.

Fuck! Williams was making me regret leaving him so abruptly. Depression must have eaten deep into me when I left Texas without a word.

“Button up.” He said, driving again. His sudden change surprised me. Was he really the same man who just grabbed my tits like his life depended on it?

He must have seen the proof he wanted—that I was still into him. But I wouldn’t let this happen again.

“This didn’t happen.” I muttered, fixing my shirt.

“Yes, it didn’t.” He replied. He didn’t want to make this linger. Maybe he just wanted to give me a taste of my own medicine. Maybe he was jealous I settled for his father and not him.

I watched him speed off as soon as I stepped out.

A fucking jerk!

He must be thrilled about what just happened.

“Who was that?” Emily asked, walking toward me. She must have watched from afar and noticed Daddy didn’t drop me off.

“Daddy’s son.” I said, ignoring her curiosity as I entered the company.

“Ooooh... You should have told him to come in. Everyone wants to see what he looks like.” She blushed and cupped her chin.

“Wait... is that why your shirt is unbuttoned?” Emily pointed at my cleavage.

“Damn it!” I quickly buttoned up.

“This must have happened while I was stepping out of the car.” I lied to keep her from guessing what happened between Williams and me. Emily and I had been friends for five months, but I hated how nosy she was. If I told her Daddy’s son was my ex, she’d ramble on and on. Still, she was a great person.

“What does he look like? Is he hot? Got biceps? Triceps? How tall is he?”

“Enough already. You’ll see him someday.” I said, huffing, and walked inside.

The pile of documents on my desk stayed untouched as I kept thinking about what happened earlier.

Not a good thing. I shook my head. Williams was going to be my stepson. I shouldn’t still have feelings for the man I was supposed to be a “mother figure” to. Why did that make me laugh? He was six years older. Calling him my stepson sounded ridiculous, but as funny as it was, it was true. I’d have to accept it someday, and so would he.

I whispered a silent prayer: “Dear Lord, this must not happen again.”

Suddenly, my phone buzzed loudly on the desk. I glanced down.

A message from an unknown number flashed on the screen:

“You can't run from this Sasha, not anymore."

My heart pounded hard. Who was this? And what did they want? The dilemma I was in, was beginning to engulf me.

SASHAI just needed a break. A change of space. With everything going on between Williams and me, I figured spending a day at his clothing office might distract me. Besides, I had nothing else lined up, and helping him supervise his staff didn’t seem like a bad idea.As I stepped out of the car and walked toward the building, I noticed how the staff greeted me warmly, some smiling widely, others nodding respectfully. I didn’t miss the way a few whispered as I passed. Of course, they saw me as the boss’s woman. Even if things between Williams and me weren’t clear right now, they didn’t know that. In their eyes, I was still the woman he would marry someday.I went straight to Jeff’s office—Williams’ manager. His eyes widened when he saw me.“Sasha… wow, good afternoon,” he said, standing up quickly. “I wasn’t expecting you.”I frowned. “Why do you sound surprised, Jeff? Am I a stranger here?”He scratched the back of his head nervously. “No, no, not at all. I just… I didn’t know you wer

She named her Hope, and I don’t think there’s a more perfect name for her. After everything Emily has been through — the accident, the heartbreak, the loss —

  • IN LOVE WITH MY STEPSON   Chapter 87 The evil people do

Author's POVIt was a calm morning in Officer Diane’s apartment. The sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the cozy kitchen. Diane sat at her small dining table, enjoying a breakfast of tea, omelette, and a few slices of bread. She sipped her tea, savoring the peaceful start to her day.Just as she took another bite of her bread, the doorbell rang. Not expecting anyone, she called out, "Come in!" The door opened, and Ivy stepped inside with a bright smile."Ivy!" Diane exclaimed, standing up to greet her friend. They embraced warmly, happy to see each other."Good morning," Ivy said cheerfully."Good morning," Diane replied. "Come, have a seat." She gestured to the chair across from her. "Would you like some breakfast? There's plenty of omelette, tea, and bread.""Thank you, that sounds lovely," Ivy responded, taking the offered seat.Diane poured Ivy a cup of tea from the jug and placed a plate with a generous serving of omelette and a couple of bread slices in fr

  • IN LOVE WITH MY STEPSON   Chapter 86 Her Big day

SASHAClaire’s wedding day was finally here, and honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her this happy. She was glowing—like seriously glowing. I stood behind her, gently adjusting her veil while Emily added the final touches to the back of her gown.“You look like a princess,” I whispered, smiling at her through the mirror.Claire laughed, blushing. “Stop it, Sasha.”“I’m serious. Steve’s jaw is going to drop.”Her makeup was perfect, if I do say so myself. I had done it with all the care in the world. Light foundation, soft glam eyes, a nude lip, and lashes that brought out her beautiful brown eyes. She was glowing, and not just because of the makeup. She looked genuinely happy. Peaceful.Emily walked slowly toward us, holding a small bouquet. She moved with more confidence now. No more crutches—just her artificial leg. She looked strong. She was even carrying another baby. Yep, she and Donald had tied the knot a few months ago, and here she was, glowing again with another baby bump

  • IN LOVE WITH MY STEPSON   Chapter 85 Steve's visit

SASHAI was in the middle of tying Jayden’s shoelaces when I heard the doorbell ring. “Hold on!” I shouted toward the door while I finished up with his second shoe.Jayden smiled up at me. “Mommy, who’s that?”“I don’t know, baby,” I said, brushing his little curls back from his forehead. “Let me go check.”I got up quickly and walked to the front door. As I opened it, I was a little surprised.“Steve?” I blinked. “Good morning… what brings you here so early?”He gave me a small, tired smile. “Morning, Sasha.”I stepped aside a little, assuming he was here for Claire. “She just left for work, actually. Barely ten minutes ago.”He looked surprised. “Oh. I didn’t know.”“You didn’t call her before coming?”“No,” he replied, rubbing the back of his neck. “I… I should have, I guess.”I studied him for a second. Something felt off. He looked tired. His eyes were a bit puffy, like he hadn’t slept well. And he wasn’t dressed like his usual self either—more casual, slightly rushed.“You okay
