ANDREA.
My heart was thudding loudly at the sight in front of me. Tanya's hand was touching Caspian's forearm as she kneeled beside him. Although Caspian's expressions were void of any emotions, I couldn't help the jealousy firing inside me.
I narrowed my eyes at Tanya as I stepped inside the office and sat on the chair in front of his desk. As soon as Tanya left the room, I waited for his explanation, but it seemed he wasn't the type who would give it for free.
When I couldn't take the silence between us, I took the initiative to speak. I stood up from my seat and faced him. "I just went here to check on you. I was thinking it was taking you too long to come up. I should have known better that you're occupied and probably didn't need me tonight."
Well, I expected him to say something, but he just chuckled, as if everything I said was a joke. Was he playing games with me?
My nose flared as tears started to sting my eyes. I felt so embarrassed
Hey, lovelies! I Just wanted to give you all a heads up that my updates might not be consistent starting tomorrow until Tuesday. Or I may not be able to update at all. My 4 yr old daughter will have an emergency dental surgery on Monday and she needs to be put to sleep while they do her ops. I need to mentally and emotionally prepare myself so I'm not sure if I will be able to come up with something until then. I'm hoping for your understanding and once I'm back, I will try to give you more. Thank you for all the comments, reviews, and gems that you showered us! I hope you will still drop by and give us some gems while I'm on break to keep us in the 4th spot for New Books Gems. THANK YOU again and have a great weekend! ♡♡♡
ANDREA. "You need to find your mate." My eyes widened at his words. A little pang of pain hit my chest as the man I loved pushed me to look for my mate. "Riley won't have any other choice but to let you go if you find your mate." I felt dizzy, and bile was threatening to come up my throat as I gagged. Caspian held my arms and kept me steady, keeping me from falling over my back. "Andrea..." His voice was filled with worries, and I couldn't blame him. I was having a panic attack. A mate. I never wanted to add another man into this equation. "I want you to be my mate..." My voice broke as I told him my truth. What was the point of leaving Riley only to end up in another man's arm that was not Caspian's? Tears were starting to well in my eyes again. My only way out was to be taken by another man. I was rocking my body back and forth in Caspian's lap, trying to calm myself. "I don't want an
ANDREA.I skipped my way down the stairs, going to the ground floor of the pack house and eventually into Caspian's office. Today is a full moon, and in an hour or two, I will be shifting.I was excited to finally meet my wolf. I wondered what her name was and if she would end up liking Caspian and Zion. But I was sure she would. There was nothing not to like about Caspian and his wolf.Werewolves were expected to shift on the last full moon before their eighteenth birthday, unless you were an Alpha's firstborn son, then shifting usually happens before they turn fourteen or fifteen years old.But scenting our mates only happened once we turned eighteen. Only if we were able to shift and summon our wolves out. And if our mates were also eighteen or older, which means that if my mate was younger than me, I would have to wait until he turned eighteen before we could scent each other out. That was the reason why, even though I was scared to
CASPIAN. After Andrea and I cleaned ourselves, we made our way to the forest where the rest of the pups were already assembled, together with my Beta and Gamma and a few of our warriors who would be assisting them. Gamma Carlos was the one in charge of pups shifting, but from time to time, whenever we could, Beta Paul and I would join in to help him and his warriors out. But tonight would be extra special because Andrea would be shifting for the first time. And although I was used to this, I couldn't help but feel nervous in anticipation. I was scared something would go wrong and she might end up hurting herself in the process. Shifting, especially for the first time, took time and was agonizingly painful. Even when it was Alia, my sister, who shifted, I never felt this nervous. I didn't know what was going on with me, but the moment I stepped onto the open forest ground, I felt something was off. But I just brushed it away. An
Hello, lovelies! I just want to give you all a heads up that the next chapter- CHAPTER 35.1 is entirely from Gamma Carlos' point of view. If you're NOT interested in his thoughts (or a little story about him), you can skip it and go directly to CHAPTER 36, where/and you will not miss anything. It picks up right after Chapter 35. However, if Gamma Carlos spikes your interest, feel free to dive in and enjoy Chapter 35.1. I'm sure he's worth it! ♡ Thank you for waiting and for reading! And for all the lovely comments, reviews, and GEMS you sent our way! ♡ xoxo, Cassandra M
GAMMA CARLOS.I knew Shaila would be shifting tonight. I haven't seen her for weeks. The last time I saw her was when I teased her about her new haircut and she got pissed off.Shaila had a crush on me as far as I remember. She would always follow me around whenever her brother would take her with him during training. Her brother, Santo, was one of our pack warriors. And Shaila took it as an opportunity to trail behind and stalk me.Fuck! I knew I was being boastful. But she was five years younger than me and started paying attention to me when she was fourteen. I was nineteen and not yet a Gamma, just a regular warrior being trained for the Gamma position by my father, who was the Gamma at that time.So I just shrugged off the attention. Because let's face it, I was used to it. She wasn't the only girl around that age who swooned over me. On the other hand, when it comes to females, my father has been extremely strict. No fooling around with the f
CASPIAN. Andrea stood frozen in her spot as she watched Shaila in agony, as she was being held by Gamma Carlos. As Shaila's cries and whimpers could be heard all around us, I approached Andrea and snaked an arm around her waist, pulling her to my side. She looked up at me with tears welling in her eyes. "Is she going to make it?" I smiled at her and nodded my head, "She will. And you will, too. The pain is extreme, but it will not last forever. You just need to bear it for a while until you can fully shift." She was about to say something when Shaila started to scream, and Carlos gave her space as she crouched on all fours. She was shifting. Andrea scooted her body closer to mine as we witnessed Shaila shifting into her wolf. It wasn't long after, a dark, cream-colored wolf was standing in front of Gamma Carlos. And Shaila's cries turned into howls of triumph. I smiled as my heart swelled with pride. Another successful shifting
CASPIAN. Andrea was sleeping peacefully. I could only imagine what was going on in her thoughts. I hoped she wouldn't break down tomorrow when everything sinks in and she realizes she didn't shift. I crouched on the floor beside her side of the bed, and ran my hand through her hair, brushing it gently before I leaned in to leave a kiss on her lips, brushing mine against hers in a gentle manner so as not to wake her up. I didn't think I would be able to sleep. Too many things were running in my head, and sleeping would just delay everything. I stood up and glanced at her sleeping form one more time, making sure she was nicely tucked under the blanket before I made my way out of the room. I wanted to look through the archives because she told me that they had information on her parents. It might have come from the Silver Moon Pack and was transferred to us when they moved packs. The packhouse was eerily quiet. My Beta and Gamma were probably sno
ANDREA. The days went by so fast. When I wake up tomorrow, I will be eighteen. But according to the Elders that Caspian spoke with, I would never be able to scent my mate. This has me restless. How was I supposed to get out of the pact if I was not able to find my mate? Caspian wasn't saying anything. He was moving on as if nothing bad had happened and just kept reassuring me that my wolf would surface once she was ready. But when? Maybe it would be too late by then. If anything, I learned that my grandmother was alive. And she was still living in the Silver Moon Pack. I couldn't even remember her. It was weird that we lived in the same pack but my parents had never introduced me to her. And they never talked about her. I hoped one day I would get to meet her. Maybe she has the answer we were looking for. I would like to believe she knew when my mother shifted and if there was something wrong with me. "Penny for your thoughts?" B
