It had been a month since the confrontation at the bar last time I was here. I was sitting in the manager’s office when one of the bar staff knocked on. “Ink, there is someone here who wants to speak to you. She wouldn’t tell me what it was about, she just said she needed to speak to the owner about some business she has with you. Her name is Ms. Carr. Shall I take her to the meeting room?” We had a small closet turned into another office where we would hold any meetings. It was a few offices down from where I was now. “Yes, please Cassie.” She nodded and smiled as she left.

I quickly finished up with what I was doing and then looked through the files of paperwork we had on clients and other businesses that we held contracts with, looking for the name Melinda. I couldn’t find anything. I left the office and walked in the direction of the meeting room, where Melinda waited.
