Chapter 6
Bonnie
“Rider.” The man greeted. Rider nodded once. Not a big talker then. It suddenly dawned on me that I had been on a job when I crashed.
“Shit!” I exclaimed, as the older man walked in my room. “What time is it?” I asked, Rider shrugged and looked toward the man. He sighed and looked at his cell. “almost 7am.” He told me. “Fuck!” I yelled and tried to hop out of bed.
“What the hell are you doing?” Rider asked me, his voice concerned but with a hint of annoyance, as he stopped me from getting up.
“I’m on a job, I need to get to Wilmington by 9am.” I told them, panicking.
“Sweetheart,” the man started as he walked over to the bed, “from what I hear about your injuries, you ain’t going anywhere yet.” He tried to use the softest tone he could, worried I might start being hysterica
Chapter 7RiderI gotta admit, that was entertaining as hell watching that little girl standing up to my dad. Strangely enough, I felt proud of her. My dad was acting like a bit of a dick, he was definitely not showing her the respect that he would normally show bikers from other clubs. I was about to tell him so when her attitude kicked in and she defended herself, ripping him a new one with her tongue.I glanced over at my dad to see his reaction. To anyone else, he looked angry, like he was going to explode, but I also saw the hint of respect in his eyes, the pride of her standing up for herself.I smirked again, reliving the memory, as I stepped outside her room.“I called her Prez.” He started.“I wanted to know about her seeing as she’s going to be staying with us for a while.” He added.“Did you find anything out?” I asked.“Her name is Sky
Chapter 8Bonnie“What took you so long?” I asked him, as he walked through the door an hour later.“Had to go to the store.” He explained, holding up the bags for proof.“What did the nurses say?” I eyed the bags suspiciously.“Doc won’t be here till tomorrow, so I went and bought you some shit.” He told me, handing the two stuffed bags over to me, carefully avoiding my leg.I quickly looked through the bag of toiletries. “Thanks Rider.” I said, trying to be genuine. He nodded.I looked through the next bag, “you bought me panties?” I asked, I struggled to keep the smirk off my face.He blushed. “Yeah, you needed them.”I was touched, not that I would ever tell him that though. I wasn’t expecting this.“Thank you, Rider, I mean it.” I smiled.“What&rsquo
Chapter 9RiderI didn’t catch her staring at me again. I noticed little glances every so often, but I was used to it. Women stared at me a lot. Even men stared, probably intimidated by my build. Whilst she was focusing on not staring at me, I took advantage of watching her. She was different than the other women I’d met. She wasn’t intimidated by me nor my dad. She was feisty and strong, which I suppose she would have to be after what she had been through. Her short dark hair and her golden-brown eyes gave her an ethereal look. She reminded me of a pixie. Her leather jacket and biker boots toughened up the softness of the black dress I had bought her. She was hot.I had told my dad I wouldn’t sleep with her which was fine. I didn’t sleep around anyway. I’d never slept with any of the clubwhores, in fact, I’d only slept with the 2 girls I had been in relationships with.&ld
Chapter 10Bonnie“Bonnie!” A familiar voice came from the entrance of the clubhouse.“Carbon!” I cried, excitedly. He headed over to me and dropped his bag on the floor, he bent down and wrapped me up in a massive bear-hug.I’d known Carbon for years, his older brother was Blade, the VP of the Toronto Renegades. Carbon was the same age as me, Blade, was a lot older. When I first arrived at the club with my mom, Blade brought Carbon, or Nolan, as I knew him, so I had someone to hang out with. He had been my best friend for the last 5 years.“How you doin’, beautiful?” he asked me, as he playfully messed up my hair.“Get the fuck off,” I laughed as I shoved him off me.I hadn’t noticed before, but everyone had stopped what they were doing to see what was going on. Ink walked over to us and reached out to shake Carbon’s hand.
Chapter 11RiderI felt Sky walking, well rolling, in the room before I even saw her.I watched the doors open and she rolled through in her chair, Carbon pushing behind her. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I stared at her, it looked like she had just woken up. Her short hair was a bit wild, and her eyes looked tired. My throat dried up as I watched Carbon push her over to Axel, Tank and Buzz, who were stood at the bar, almost completely wasted.“Hey!” Tank shouted, walking over to Sky. “It’s Riders girl!” he cheered, she blushed furiously as she glared up at him. I felt my anger rising myself as he called her my girl. I was about to say something, but my girl beat me to the punch.“Tank, is it?” she asked, he nodded, a stupid smile on his face. “Or should I call you Kirsty’s boy, or Archie’s dad? Or how about the club’s security bitch?
Chapter 12RiderMy father cried for what felt like forever. My own tears managed to escape as I grieved for what could have been. If things had been different, maybe I would have grown up with both my parents, maybe my mother wouldn’t have been shot.“How did it happen?” he finally asked.“The men who held her captive, shot her after she had given birth.” My dad explained. This started the grief and tears off again. He was angry. “They promised they wouldn’t hurt her.” He told me.“What happened between you?” I finally asked.“I’ll go finish off those coffees.” Judith excused herself.“I was young and stupid. I got involved with the wrong people and I owed them money. I got addicted to heroin when I left school and was in a bad place. I met a guy who said he could help me. He wanted me to kidnap w
Chapter 13BonnieRider had been gone for a full day now. He mentioned yesterday that he had to go away, but he didn’t know when he would be back. Ink called Creek, the VP, later on that evening to tell them they were on the way back and to have a room set up near to Riders, to which Creek had passed the job on to the prospects.Carbon also left. We knew he was only staying for the one night and then he had to head back to Canada with the package. I went to the airport with him after Axel had offered to drive him there. I hated saying goodbye to my best friend, but I knew it wouldn’t be much longer. I had been out of hospital for only three days. I needed to wait at least another few weeks for the stitches to heal, so my cast could be changed and I would be able to wear a boot. I couldn’t wait.I was sitting in the clubhouse in my room, bored out of my mind, when a knock came at my door. “yeah?&rdq
Chapter 14RiderOn my way back to the club, I gave myself time to think about Sky. I felt like I had been missing something since the minute I had left. I had even pulled over to check I had everything with me. I had to fight the urge to turn and go back more than once. I’d left something behind, I knew it.It wasn’t until I got to my father’s house that I realized what it was. Sky. It hit me like a bat out of hell. I shook my head, trying to get rid of my thoughts, I had other things to worry about right now, I was about to meet my father.I managed to keep my thoughts away from Sky the entire time. The only time my thoughts drifted to her was when my father told me how he felt about Tilly. Watching the devastation on his face when he realized he would never see her again, it almost killed him. I unwillingly let myself think about how I would react if it was Sky, and to my complete horror, tears filled
