Chapter 31 (d)

The door of her room opened and that grabbed everybody’s attention. The bride slightly moved her head in that direction and her eyes widened when she looked at the person. The same expression flashed on his face as he drank in her attire. She was looking beautiful.

“Dad,” she murmured and walked to him. He also reduced the distance between them by rolling the wheels of his chair. David came behind them to assist him. The ladies in that room along with the make-up artists and hair stylists walked out of the room, giving them some privacy.

“I was just thinking about you,” she confessed, bending slightly to hold his weak hands. His wrists were a lot thinner and his hands were shivering before they fell in her hold.

“Me too,” he smiled. “Dav,” he said and David bent slightly to help him in standing up. Adam could stand for a few minutes but walking was hard for him.
