Attacked

I let out a deep breath before sinking further into the bench, my head tilted backward to stare up at the beautiful scenery before me.

The royal garden is large with variety of flowers I would love to exploit during the day, with the Prince permission of course.

I can already imagine myself spending ungodly hours just snooping through it all.

After a while of waiting all by myself, I heard a shuffle in one of the nearby bushes, startling me as I stood sharply before looking around in fright but saw no one in sight.

“Prince?” I asked, still looking around hesitantly.

The shuffling noise quiet down and I let out a breath thinking it was just my imagination before I made to sit back on the bench and just as suddenly, I felt a sharp slice across my right arm.

I stumbled backward just a few step, lifting my arms to my gaze in confusion just in time to see it covered in dark red blood that was none other than mine.

Danger! My subconscious mind screamed at me.
