43: Always playing judge

For the next three seconds, the bell signaling the end of fifth period and beginning of lunch break rang.

Isabelle had turned to leave when she saw Mrs Douglas coming from the stairwell, her bag and books in different hands.

Her good home training kicked in immediately and told her to go get the woman's things, but her strong dislike greatly disagreed, and she stayed back, a little antsy on her feet.

Finally, home training won and she went to meet the woman. Her parents were sure to frown at her if she discarded all they had taught her.

When Isabelle reached Mrs Douglas, the woman stopped to give her a look before sighing disapprovingly and denying her her bag and books.

'Should've stuck with option B,' Isabelle told herself with a frown.

While Mrs Douglas settled in her seat, Mr Stanley left the office after informing them that he had a class to
