Chapter 4: Club Hopping
I felt my heart crashing, it felt like trying to get out of my chest. Until I couldn’t breathe anymore. “Ouch!” I saw Hella fly and hit the wall. The invisible lady hit her stomach. “Ugh!” My eyes widen when I started coughing blood. I saw a teen girl slowly walking down the stairs while looking at me. “Break!” I saw her mumble and I felt my bone cracking. “AHH!” I stood up and flick my wand at her but I didn’t make it. I felt my hand cracking and my wand fell from my palm. I snapped my finger and fell to the ground. I manage to cut her stare on me and the pain faded. I got my wand and flick it to her but she jumped to avoid it and landed in front of me. A solid slap hit my right cheek and a strong kick hit my stomach. “You brat!” I fake flicked my wand and she vanished I flicked it quickly to where she appeared but she dodge it. She ran and I continuously flick my wand, until the pink magic that came from my wand turned into red and I hit her foot. She lost it immediately and I ran after her. But a lady stopped me so I punched her and flick my wand to her and perfect timing Hella hit her too. “You can have the brat.” She said and I ran to her. When I reached the room where she was her stare greeted me but I instantly cast a spell to make a barrier. At my last flick, it did hit her and her body turned into an hourglass. ‘I want to keep her,’ no one could turn her back but me. I went out and saw Hell sitting on the wrecked couch. “We’re done here.” “Okay, it’s nine pm still. Just perfect timing for club hopping.” I nodded to her and she ran excitedly out of the house. ‘This is mine now.’ I swished my wand three times and flicked it to the floor. And broken things started forming back to their original place and form. “Take care of yourselves,” And all the things started breathing and moving. I gave them life to maintain their cleanliness and their safety. The door opened obligingly so I smiled at her. “Thanks, Doory.” Hella drives back to the house and cast a spell to speed up her car.*** “Just tell me if you don’t like here. Check those cute guys,” she whispered in my ears and left me. I couldn’t tell if they were half vampires walking still in this dark with blinding colorful lights around or if they were just walking with closed eyes. Good thing my eyes adjust to the darkness and were able to see better than before. “Hey, having fun?” I wasn’t even smiling, why would he ask if I do? I flashed a fake smile and nodded slightly. I could already see Hell’s point, everyone here is willing to sleep with a stranger, I didn’t need to beg not to blackmail anyone. I walk around while trying to get myself drunk but human wine was too weak to even burn my throat. After checking around, I didn’t find the good one. So I pulled Hella who was kissing a random guy. “I don’t like it here.” She nodded and pulled me out. She snapped her finger and change out her clothes. I closed my eyes before I saw it spin and when I opened my eyes again, I was in the other club. There was more wild, I could see someone making out on the dance floor. After a few minutes I signaled her to leave so we went out she brought me to the other club. “This is an elite one, you can’t see a poor guy here. And this should be the last club, I am staying here whether you find a guy or not.” She cleared things before leaving me and I saw her flirty with the bartender, she took a glass of drink for free. I ordered a drink too and sat at the corner. I see, everyone here seemed calm and casually flirting around, after a few words they would leave. I saw Hella find a new guy and they started dancing. I should pick now, this wouldn’t be hard I know, I hope. I could see their shameless stares, I locked stare with one and he instantly smiled, he didn’t take long to stand and walk toward me. “Hey, beautiful.” “Hey,” “First time?” He asked and I nodded. “How did you know?” I asked and he lean closer. “I own this, and I know my regular customer. I have never seen you before and your friend Hella usually comes alone, so I thought it was your first time.” Amusing, he’s observant. I like that. “I’m Mike.” “Call me, Zil.” “Well, Zill. I see you love black.” He noticed it too, “Lights off, I presume.” I bit my inner cheek to stop my smile. He was too quick, I never thought he sounds like a bad boy with his white shirt and clean face. “I think so.” I was about to flirt back when all of a sudden a girl pulled Hella’s hair away from the guy she was flirting with. As the owner, he stood up. “I’ll be back.” He said before leaving me, I watched him fix things up but I felt a strong stare from my right. I turned in that direction and met an intense gaze. His black shirt was too sexy with his glowing fair skin even in the dark. I stared back and he drank his drinks up. I felt my neck burning when I saw how Adam’s apple moved. My breath hitched when he turned his head to me again and stared into my eyes. I felt that he could see my soul. I blink when a white fabric blocks my sight and saw Mike. “Sorry to leave you hanging.” I smiled and opened my mouth to answer but closed it back when I saw the guy earlier behind him. He handed me a glass of red wine, I like his style. I accepted the glass but Mike tried to take it. I was surprised by his quick hands and Mike failed to get it. ‘Excuse me?” Mike irritatingly asked the man in black. While I got the drink and smiled at him. “Thank you.” “Hey! What was that, man?” Mike stood up and the guy only glanced at him. To my surprise, he took a step and lean down toward me. Before I could even react, his soft lips touched mine. He pulled away and gave Mike a mocking smile. He stormed away, and he turned back to me. He drank his shot and stared at me for more. “So are you going to leave me hanging?” He kissed me again as an answer, I was afraid to bite back ‘cause I didn’t know how. Until I ran out of breath and he pulled an inch away. “I can even do it, right here, right now.” Damn, his voice was the sexiest voice I ever heard. I never thought that humans could be this good. “I don’t really know how to do this but keep going,” I said before he could kiss me again. But he suddenly froze. “Come again?” He asked. “What?” “Nothing,” then he pulled away from me. He turned around and walked out. I couldn’t believe him! “Really?” I snapped my finger and appeared right in front of him before he could get in his car. “You think you can get away from me?” I asked and confusion drew on his face. I kissed him before he could talk and he was obedient enough to answer. My burning body against his cold palm felts heaven. I could hear him gasp and it would add to the burning feeling inside me. I didn’t think this was fun. “Must be so sure about this.” He said but didn’t give me the chance to answer and pushed me inside the car. That’s when I realized things weren’t too right. Before I could protest about the space and my uncomfortable position I felt him above me.Chapter 37: In the RunDays passed but it was alarmingly peaceful. We were traveling happily; I was worried that we might have laid back and lowered our guard. My gut says we should be more careful but I didn’t want to cut the moment. It was a treasure for me to see my family this happy. While on the run, I felt something chasing us. I turned to Luem and he already noticed it. Kiel ran and moved to the planned formation. He had to run between me and Luem while carrying Zaya. The look on my daughter’s face was enough for me to know that she was scared and knew everything around her, even without us discussing it. I looked at Kiel and he nodded. I cast an illusion to confuse the pursuer. We did shake them off, but another troop was in the run too. We ran different ways at the same time. I cast another illusion to cover Kiel as he escapes and activate his camouflage. I was already alone and stopped when I had to recover my breath. Yet they were wise to attack me before I c
Chapter 36: The Fortress of Eternal Diamond “Your coven is very beautiful, mom.” We were standing on the terrace looking at the whole coven below us. “Indeed, my love.” “Why did you have to leave this place?” my little girl asked.“There are certain things a little brat like me could not handle back then and chose to run like a coward. I was a baby and did not realize that this place is worth fighting for.” I could lie flawlessly, but not to my daughter, who knew me well. “You were lost,” I smiled when she said that. “Maybe,” “And angry,” I nodded. “I can feel that there is something big coming, Mom.” I shouldn’t lie but I could not tell her either. “I’m scared.” “What do you mean?” “I can hear every footstep, the hush of the wind, the flow of the river, the drop of the water, even the flopping wings of the birds moving in a hurry. Dusk is coming this way too fast.” Shiver kissed my nerves by just listening to my daughter say things that shouldn’t be spoken by a chi
Chapter 35: A Scorching FightZille’s PovHe was killing ruthlessly by himself when I saw him fighting in the woods. He was not feeling it when I spoke to him afterward When my daughter came with Kiel from her hiding place, I hugged her. “How are you, my love? Are you hurt?” I asked and checked her all over. My little girl shook her head, and I was proud that she was okay. I looked at Kiel behind her who just crossed his arms. “I’m fine mom, Uncle Kiel was great at hiding.” She cheerfully answered. A few meters away, there was her father sulking like a baby. Like I would go after him. “We must find somewhere to stay, it’s getting dark,” I said, and she nodded. We started walking without asking Luem to come with us. Let him vent out his steams somewhere. I am not dealing with him. “Dad, let’s go.” My daughter called him. He quietly followed while Kiel was leading the way. It was already dark, and we could not find somewhere hidden. “We don’t have time to find a place, le
Chapter 34: Werewolves Ambush Zaya’s POVIt has been two days and my mother has not returned. My father was growing increasingly anxious, and I found it difficult to approach him. He would often stand with his arms crossed, gazing at the door, and would inquire about my well-being in a somber tone. His speech became sparse as he delved into profound contemplation. He never left after he knew Mom was not here. However, Uncle Kiel had been teaching me how to enhance my ability when Dad would zone out. Then he suddenly stood up from his seat and looked above us. Uncle Kiel seemed alarmed too. I focused on my ears, and I did hear footsteps. Fast, faint, and swift. Mom should fly on a broomstick. Then suddenly it went quiet. Dad looked at Uncle Kiel and Uncle picked me up. Enemies. I should fight too. Then, the door was pushed open. Dad jumped on the big wolf and rode on it. His hands were around its neck, and I heard its bones crack and then fall. Dad swiftly moved to anothe
Chapter 33: Silent Cries Zaya’s POV I watched my mother leave and close the door behind her. And I dropped the act of toughing it out. I glanced at Uncle Kiel who did not care at all. I slowly walked back to the room, “I want to sleep for more, Uncle Kiel.” I said and closed the door. As soon as I locked the door, tears started pooling around my eyes. What have I done? I don’t get it at all. My mom has suffered enough, my parents fought for me. Aunt Hella died, and I never heard from my family back on the farm. Why did we have to fight? Maybe we could just surrender, and I could die for everyone. I felt sad but I did not want to cry. Whenever Mom was not looking, I felt my knees weakening, and scared. I sat on the floor and hug knees. I should not be scared, I should not feel lonely, and Mom and Dad will make things better. Eventually, everything should be fine. I had to wipe my face again and again, but my tears were t
Chapter 32: Reclaimed Crown"Leave the Coven now," I whispered, and I heard no objection. I always wanted to fight her and defeat her. Only if I had defeated her sooner, I wouldn't be facing her now. Fighting her this time was different, I had nothing to lose before but now I have my daughter and she knows it."I knew that this day would come," I felt her presence behind me, but I chose to remain unmoved."Did you also know that this will be the end of your reign?""How bold," I felt her walk around me and stopped in front. She always had that confident smile, then crossed arms. "You know what, Zil. You are no different to me.""Sadly, yeah." Did she think I'd desperately deny that fact?"What is the point of defeating me?""Power." I could see her breathing heavily, despite the visible smile on her face I knew she wanted to crash me from where I stood."I cannot believe you think you can defeat me; you are not the strongest Wicca anymore. You married a Vampire.""Is that why you did
