Emma’s pov

“Emma wake up please,” I heard someone say.

I opened my eyes to find a frantic Alicia looking at me.

She was covered in blood, but it wasn’t hers.

“What happened?” I asked her and she just started sobbing.

“It’s Rachel, that vile woman almost cut off her hand.

There is a lot of blood, and I can’t stop it,” she said, and I nodded.

I got off the scrappy bed and went straight to Rachel.

She was also screaming in pain.

I started helping her and stopping the bleeding.

When everything was done, we took her to the pack doctor.

“I am guessing this is Emma’s work,” he said as he looked at me with a smile.

I could see that he was also dispirited by all these weekly and at times daily visits.

“Yes,” I agreed either way. If it helps him feel a bit better then I can try to make the man uncomfortable now, can I?

Rachel was now fast asleep, I looked at the 15 years old and frowned.

We didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into.

But I must say, this is probably a little better because there is a little hope.

You see, Alicia, Rachel, and I were rouges before all of this.

It means that we didn’t have a pack nor a territory which made all of us easy prey.

We couldn’t stay in one place and the life expectancy for rouges is at an all-time low.

Especially for orphans like most of us.

So, when the Blood Moon Pack opened their gates for us and allowed us to join the pack we ran to the opportunity.

It was a day that when I realized that it was perhaps the biggest mistake we could ever make.

You see I am only 22 years old, and I joined the pack about 5 years ago with a friend of mine.

We were promised support and safety back then, but we got none of that.

Another painful thing about all of this is that most of the people I came here with are dead.

We came here for security, we wanted safety and a community but got none of that.

Hendricks Jones is the Alpha of this pack; he is probably the most ruthless person I have ever met.

Most of his pack members aren’t that different the more you look at it.

They treat omegas as if they are nothing.

Well, that depends on which omega you are.

There are high rank omegas, these are omegas born in this pack or came from other packs.

They are treated like humans, but low rank omegas like us who were rouges are treated like animals.

They take out their anger on us, treat us like servants, and then kill us without a second thought.

I know what most of you are wondering, if the situation is that bad why not leave?

Because it’s not that easy, being a rouge is about 20 times worse than this.

Most of the time you don’t have a roof over your head and no food in your stomach.

Hence even this fate is better than that of being a rouge.

I looked at the doctor.

“She will be fine, physically she will be okay,” he added, and I nodded.

“Why? Why do you tolerate all this abuse? Isn’t being a rouge a better fate than this?” Dr Brown asked me.

I smiled at his words, he grew up with a pack and was also the beta to the Alpha.

Even his son is now the beta to the Alpha.

Someone like him can never understand how it is out there.

Always looking behind your back, sleeping with one eye open.

“Whatever fate we choose, it is always going to be against us,” I answered him and looked at Alicia.

“Stay with Rachel, I will go and prepare breakfast and then serve them,” I said and went back to the rouge dorms.

We call it that because the place is built like some dorm.

The rooms are small, and we share bathrooms and a kitchen.

I got showered and then went straight to the pack house.

I started cooking very early in the morning while other rouges were cleaning.

The family and high rank werewolves were still fast asleep.

Hell, we don’t even get paid enough for the work we do here.

Apparently, we should be grateful that they even welcomed us to their pack.

After finishing breakfast, I quickly went upstairs and woke everyone up.

I knocked on the Beta’s door and he told me to come in.

I opened the door and found him just standing there completely naked.

He looked at me with a smirk as if his actions were something to be proud of.

This is not the first time, his mate, his wife, and the mother of his kids was on the bed.

Ashley just looked at me, I could tell she was just as hopeless as us.

But she has to sleep with the bastard and not us, she is stuck with him for life.

I understand why she would look even more hopeless than me.

“Breakfast is ready,” I said and turned to leave when he suddenly slammed the door shut.

I kept my eyes on the ground, “go on, take my robe and come help me get dressed,” he said.

“Justin please don’t do that, can’t you see that the poor girl is uncomfortable,” his wife said.

All he did was look at her for a second and that completely shut her up.

I walked to the closet and took out his robe.

I helped him put it on while trying my best to control my tears.

For how long will I do things like this?

“What is your name rouge?” he asked me.

“Emma,” I answered although he has probably asked my name more times than I can count.

“You are really beautiful aren’t you?” he asked as he touched my hair.

I moved away from his touch before looking up at him.

I don’t care if I die, but I want him to know that I can’t stand his touch.

It makes me want to skin the places he touched.

“Feisty, she is feisty isn’t she? That’s what one should expect from a red head,” he said.

I looked at Ashley, she was already sobbing looking at me.

“Breakfast is ready ma’am,” I said and then walked out without another word.

I woke up their kids and got them ready for school before going downstairs to get them to eat.

The kids eat separately from the elders which is something I appreciate.

I don’t want those kids to see and hear all those vile things those people do.

After serving the kids, I went to check if the elders need anything.

“The food is great like always,” David said with a smile.

“Thank you,” I said with my head bowed.

“Why are you grateful? It’s your job to make us great food,” the Luna said.

Unlike Ashley the Luna Jennifer is just as terrible as her husband.

Actually, she is the absolute worse the more I think about it.

I can’t tell you how many bones she has broken in my body.

If I wasn’t a werewolf then I would have died a long time ago.

You see I came here at the same time with the Luna.

I was only 17 years old, and she was about 23 years old.

For a while we were close, I don’t know what happened, but she just changed.

Maybe the power got to her head and turned her into a monster.

Well, I honestly don’t have a clue anymore.

“Sorry Luna,” I said and heard her scoff.

“And the girl who came to my room this morning. Is she still alive?” she asked me.

It was so casual as if a human life held no importance to her.

“Yes, she is alive,” I answered, and she just shrugged.

“Now that I think about it, you should be the one to be punished. Didn’t we ask you to train her?” The Alpha asked.

“I am sorry Alpha; I will get to it right away. I will accept whatever punishment you decide,” I said and bowed my head.

“Actually, I told Emma that I would train the girl. Please don’t blame her for this,” Mama Joyce said.

I looked at her, she was lying and taking the blame for me.

You see Mama Joyce has been in this pack for about 30 years now.

And just like me, she was a rouge before being taken into this pack.

Apparently, the old Alpha was fond of her, so they respect her to a certain degree.

She is also like a mother to most of the omegas in the pack.

Jennifer just stared at me before eating her food as if she was disappointed I didn’t get punished for this.

“I will train her right away,” I added and just stood there as they were eating.

The day went by fast; they had dinner and then went to bed while for my punishment I stayed up to clean alone.

I finished up cleaning the dishes and putting them away when someone suddenly grabbed me by my waist.

“You do know if you become mine then you wouldn’t need to do all of this?” that retched voice asked me.

How can people be this despicable?

Emma’s pov I tended to Addison's wounds, and she was doing much better. There is no news so far from anyone, and I have done the best I could. It’s been 5 days now since the war started, and I haven’t seen or spoken to Logan in those days. Partly because I didn’t want to distract him or anything like that. “I am sure that they are okay,” Addison said, and she also seemed really worried. Of course, she is worried; our friends and family are out there fighting. Suddenly, I sensed a crowd of people entering the pack territory. And it’s not the enemy, it’s actually Rowan and Logan. I got up on my feet, helped Addison up, and we went downstairs to wait for them. They are both alive, and I am so glad that they both made it. They immediately got out of the car, and Logan ran to me while Rowan went to Addison. “Are you okay? You seem pale. What the hell happened here?” Logan asked me, and I just shrugged. “The spell took a toll on me. It was more than I thought it would be,” I an

Emma’s pov“Don’t push yourself too much. You have hardly slept for the last few days, remember that you are pregnant,” Addison said, and I sighed. How can I relax when there is a war outside? Jess is with Grace and her child in a different room, and Addison is looking after me in this room. All I can do is use magic to make sure that the poison doesn’t work on them. In war and in times like this, we do what we can do. I continued chanting the spell, and Addison straightened instantly. She seemed to be on high alert, and I felt it too. It wasn’t magic, it was something even more sinister, and I know that feeling. I have only felt it when I was around someone, and I don’t like this. The feeling of being around a predator, it’s her, isn’t it? “She’s here,” Addison said quietly, and I watched as she got ready to fight. Her claws were out. My heart skipped, but I didn’t lift my hands from the spell circle. The doors at the end of the corridor were pushed open. Footsteps ec

Rowan’s PovI sat there and could hear his footsteps as he was walking towards me. He opened the doors, and I gave him a huge smile. “It seems like you were waiting for me,” he said and I smiled at this. “It seems that way. I knew you would come to me eventually; my father’s existence stressed you out. My existence stresses you out as well. Let’s not forget Emma; she is the reason you even allied with Lycans. I know how much you hate them, you even hate your own niece just because she is half witch,” I poked at him to see his reaction. My uncle. The so-called King.He looked older than I remembered, but not weaker. His blonde hair was streaked with silver, his posture relaxed as if what I said didn’t concern him. “Rowan, you have grown into such a fine young man,” he said smoothly. “How does your family do this? Your father left the throne to me, and yet people were still calling him King. Just like you, he created an empire of his own,” he said with a frown. “But there can only be

  • Imprinted On By The Lycan King   Chapter 121:Scent of war

Logan’s PovWar, in my entire lifetime, I never thought that I would have to fight a war. I am a Lycan; we supernaturals are used to a few small discord here and there. We fight for survival almost every day of our lives. But an all out war is something I had hoped that I would never see in my entire life. I looked around, and then the air tasted like iron. And it is on this day that I learn that war always has a scent. The scent is thick, metallic, and also unforgiving. I stepped onto the battlefield and felt the ground hum beneath my boots. My pack members were mostly standing behind me. Although they were wounded, they were ready to take on anyone. All they wanted was my command. But this fight, this one was mine, and I don’t want anyone getting in the way.My uncle stood across the clearing, tall and unmoved. It’s been about 4 days and 4 nights of this, and we were all tired. He was standing there with no armor or a shirt. His body was covered in wounds that are now slowly

  • Imprinted On By The Lycan King   Chapter 120: Mate

Rowan’s pov I can’t believe that I have found my mate at a time like this. I have found my mate just as we are about to go to war. I watched as Emma walked off with her mate to show him around the house. I never thought I would see the day my little sister becomes a mother. I just always thought that she would always remain the kind and innocent Emma. She is still kind, but you can tell that everything she has been through has stripped away her innocence. She is no longer the little girl who believes in rainbows and sunlight. She has seen the darkness of the world and that of the people. I wish that she hadn’t, because the fact that she had means that I have failed as her brother. I also decided to walk to my bedroom, and I found it clean and left it as it was. “Wow, very little deco. It’s a good thing there is a plant,” a voice behind me said. “My mom placed that, she said that it would help us sleep,” I explained, and the door behind me closed. I turned around to look a

Emma’s pov “You don’t have to do this,” I said to Logan, who shook his head. “I want to drive you there myself. I need to know that you are completely safe,” he insisted, and I sighed at this. Addison, Grace, and Jess were also with us in the car. We will be meeting my brother in our old home, and that is where we will be staying. My terrible uncle thinks that he destroyed my family completely. So he won’t think of going to my childhood home in times like that. That because, if anything like this happened, my home would be the first place he would look. And because of that, he will think that it is also the last place for us to hide. The obvious places are sometimes the best spots to hide in. That is what we learned as kids when we were playing hide and seek. Logan was driving but still refused to let go of my hand, and I don’t think that I can blame him. Everything, all of it, feels like the calmness before the storm, and I don’t like it. I found myself drifting off to s
