LOGINELARA'S POV
Callie , my best friend, stopped by early that morning. She was worried I might be spiraling, maybe even suicidal, after the heartbreak.
As if I’d let a breakup reduce me to that.
I’m not some fragile thing to be shattered by a jerk who didn’t deserve me.
“You’re glowing, Elara,” Callie said, plopping onto the single sofa in my living room.
“It’s like no one’s ever broken your heart.”
I was so focused on the documents in front of me, I was signing some papers at least it kept my mind off things.
“You’re imagining things,” I replied, barely looking up.
“You and Dad said the same thing this morning. He called me radiant, now you are saying I'm glowing… same idea, different words. Thanks for the compliment, though.”
I kept signing .Callie leaned forward, her voice teasing.
“Come on, spill it. Is there someone mending your heart back together?” I paused, mid-page, and raised an eyebrow at her.
“No. Why? Should I be crying all day, locked in my room, drowning in alcohol?”
“Of course not,” she cut in, laughing.
“It’s just… I can’t believe you’re already over him in days. Most girls take months… infact years.”
“Says who? Your romance novels? Movies?”
Callie’s obsession with love stories sometimes bled into her view of reality.
“That jerk doesn’t deserve my tears anymore!!.”
Thanks to Kael.
“Alright, I’m convinced you’re not about to do anything stupid then,” Callie said, glancing at her wristwatch.
“I’ve got a meeting at one, so I should head out now.” I let out a deep sigh as the door clicked shut behind her.
I was alone again, I grabbed my phone from the table and dialed Kael's number.
“Hello,” his deep, baritone voice answered.
“Hi, I hope I’m not interrupting,” I said, my voice steadier than I felt.
“Silly. Of course not. Why’d you call?”
“About the agreement you proposed… I’m in.”
“Good. My place, tonight,” he said.
“Okay,” I replied, ending the call.
Kael had been clear: no clinging, no commitment. This was a business deal, professional and mature. We’d keep it clean, uncomplicated.
By seven-thirty that evening, I arrived at Kael’s penthouse on the fifth floor, room 5-02.
Entering inside, I couldn’t help but admire the place. Every corner screamed luxury high-tech gadgets, sleek furniture, and the works.
This was a bachelor pad designed to impress.
I removed my coat, hanging it by the door, my sleeveless maxi dress swaying as I moved.
Kael’s voice broke my trance. “You look stunning,” he said, lounging on his sofa, his eyes drinking me in.
“Thanks,” I murmured, my gaze wandering the room again, trying to steady my nerves. He handed me a folder.
“Here, sign this. It’s the agreement we discussed. Just the basics.” I nodded, skimming the document before signing my name above Elara Dela Vega.
“ Done”
“Did you consult a doctor about the pills?” he asked.
I nodded again. We’d agreed I’d handle birth control, Kael said condoms were a hassle.
This would be my first time doing… Well, everything. But my body had already made up its mind.
I cleared my throat, desperate to shift the tension.
“Aren’t you going to offer me a drink?”
“I could offer my juice if you want,” he teased, his voice low and suggestive.
I laughed, rolling my eyes. “ You're so crazy.” Standing, I added, “Mind if I grab some cold water?”
“Feel at home,” he said, biting his lower lip.
Kael was topless, a towel wrapped loosely around his hips, his V-line peeking out.
The sight sent heat coursing through me, and I hurried to the kitchen to escape the pull of temptation.
Opening his fridge, I poured myself a glass of water, trying to cool the fire building inside.
For three months, I’d be Kael’s…..fuck buddy.
Purely physical, no emotions. We’d agreed not to fall for each other. Easy enough. Love scared me now, but lust?
That I could handle.
Kael had already shown me pleasure, taught me how to play with deire. My glass was empty,so I returned to the living room, but Kael was gone.
Out of curiosity, I headed to his bedroom.
“Kael?” I called.
No answer. I tried again, but it was silent.
Stepping further in, I noticed a photo frame on the bedside table, Kael, smirking, sitting on his Bugatti, looking every bit as gorgeous as I remembered.
“Hi,” he whispered, startling me. I spun around, my heart racing.
“Where’d you go?” I asked, my eyes traitorously drifting to his chiseled abs, his eight-pack a work of art.
“Missing me already?” he teased.
Before I could respond, he pulled me close to himself, Something hard pressed against my stomach, and my eyes widened.
“Feel that, baby?” he murmured, his voice a low growl.
I gasped as he zipped my dress, the cool air hitting my skin. His lips were now on mine, and my reflexes took over, I kissed him back with so much hunger.
His hands roamed my back, gently as my dress fell on the floor, leaving me in my underwear.
He unhooked my bra without breaking the kiss, and I groaned as he pressed closer.
Step by step, he guided me to his bed, laying me down on its soft surface.
His hand slid between my legs, and I gasped again, heat pooling as his lips trailed to my earlobe, then my neck.
When his mouth found my breast, I moaned, the sensation overwhelming as he teased one peak while massaging the other.
His kisses traveled lower, down my stomach, until he stripped away my last piece of clothing.
I trembled as his tongue found my most sensitive spot, teasing and sucking until I was on the edge of exploding. When I reached my climax, my back arched, his name escaping my lips in a cry.
Kael kissed my neck again, shedding his towel.
His length brushed against me, teasing but not entering.
“Kael, please,” I begged, desperate.
He smirked, easing in slowly, teasing still, his fingers playing with me as he kissed my face. Each thrust was deeper, deliberate, driving me wild.
We kissed with so much hunger, and I sucked eagerly, lost in him.
“Well…, aren’t we a lil’ impatient tonight?” he teased, making me blush.
He turned me gently, now my back was facing him, his hands squeezing my hips as he entered again.
I gasped, feeling every inch of him. Of course the pain was definitely there, but it was drowned by pleasure.
He dragged me up, sitting with me on his lap, his fingers finding my sensitive spot again as he moved.
I was drowning in sensation, reaching my peak again, writhing in ecstasy. Knowing he hadn’t finished, I turned to face him, taking control.
When he finally shuddered, pulling me close as he released, I moved once more before collapsing beside him, grabbing tissues to clean up.
“Quite good,” he said, catching his breath.
I laughed, panting. “Are you saying I’m good?”
“Yeah, pretty good for a be
ginner,” he teased, chuckling.
I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, annoyed but amused. “Plus, you’re juicy and hot,” he added, and I felt my cheeks flush.
ELARA'S POV “How many days that you haven’t let your veggie be watered, Elara?”“What the…” I covered Callie’s mouth and looked around. Damn! “Will you please shut this mouth?” I said as I removed my hand from her mouth. For goodness’ sake, we’re inside of a fancy restaurant, full of well-known business royalties.“What?” Callie mumbled and smirked at me.“Will you please lower down your voice?”Callie rolled her eyes. “Whatever, I’m just asking you a question, right Vivi?” she asked Vivi who is busy on her phone.“Ha?” is all that Vivi uttered.“Seriously, Vivi? Is there something I need to fish out?” Callie asked and raised her left brow.“N-Nothing, of course,” Vivi answered and put down her phone at the table. “So, I heard Kael is in France. Why is that?” she then asked, seems to catch up to our topic.I shrugged my shoulders and said, “Business?”“You’re not sure? Aren’t you two dating?” asked Callie, with her mocking tone.“Says who? We go out just for a business thing,” I repl
ELARA'S POV “It’s impossible that I can make Kael fall for me,” I said, seeming hopeless.“What? Of course, you can,” said Callie as she sat down beside me.We’re inside my condo and it’s past three in the afternoon already. We just had a movie marathon and a girl’s talk. Callie and Vivi said that they will go home before five o’clock.“Why did you say that it is impossible?” asked Vivi.I reached out for the glass of juice and drank. I then put it back on the table. “Well, first, Kael hates commitment. And we all know that since the beginning. Second, I don’t know why he hates it,” I said and laughed. My friends threw a piece of biscuits in my direction. “Crazy,” Callie mumbled.“Of course, he was afraid to be hurt to be broken. Few think that if they enter a commitment, it seems like they are burying themselves. You know, they don’t want to be strangled,” Vivi explained.“Strangle? Those men have no balls,” said Callie, with bitterness in her voice. “They don’t know how to take a r
ELARA'S POV It was eight in the morning when Callie and Vivi picked me up. They invited me over for breakfast in Callie’s restaurant. My friends kept interrogating me. But I didn’t know what to answer or where to start. I just told them that I would answer after breakfast so they would stop. Besides, after it, we would be hanging out in my condo. My father called me over the phone and said that I had a trip abroad for business matters. I declined it but he blackmailed me and said that I would not inherit any single pound from our company. I just scoffed and laughed. As if he could do it. Knowing my mother? She wouldn’t agree with it. My mother loves me so much that she won’t let it happen. So, if Elara said no, then it’s a no. My father does the business thing on that trip.Yes. I’m hardheaded. But no one can blame me, I hate business. When I was young, I always wanted to be a doctor, but it turns out I became a businesswoman. There’s nothing wrong with being a businesswoman either.
ELARA'S POV I woke up groggy, a tickling sensation stirring the lower part of my body. Something warm seemed to caress me, sending shivers through my skin. “Hmm…” I mumbled, my eyes fluttering open. Darkness enveloped me, and I blinked to adjust my vision. My breath caught when I saw the silhouette of a man whose sharp features were unmistakable. It was definitely Kael.“What are you doing?” I asked, pulling myself up and leaning against the headboard. I cursed silently. For heaven’s sake, I was naked. My eyes darted to the digital clock beside the lamp.4:18 AMKael moved closer. I grabbed the duvet, yanking it over my body to cover my nakedness. He smirked, his eyes glinting in the dim light.“You don’t need to hide it. I’ve already seen it and touched it,” he said, his voice dripping with mockery. He crawled toward me like a playful child, and despite myself, I smiled. His brows furrowed. “Is something funny?” he asked.I sat up straighter, shaking my head. “Nothing.”He
KAEL'S POV I had no choice but to drive Elara home. Her arms crossed and her eyes fixed out the window like I didn’t exist. She was still pissed, probably replaying what I’d said to her friends about them ditching her so easily. I didn’t mean for it to sting her like that anyway, but damn, she looked super cute when she's furious. When I pulled up to her building, she didn’t even wait for me to kill the engine. She flung the car door open, slid out, and stormed toward the elevator like she was on a mission. I locked the car and followed her, catching her just as she pressed the elevator button. Her eyes widened when she saw me walking toward her, and I swear I saw a flash of panic mixed with that fiery annoyance.“What the hell, Kael? Go home,” she snapped, her voice sharp enough to cut glass. The elevator doors started to slide shut, but I slipped my hand in just in time, stepping inside with a smirk. Her arms crossed tighter, and she spun to face me, her dark eyes blazing.
ELARA'S POV The moment our eyes locked, my heart started pounding like a drum. It was definitely not love… God, no..but the nagging feeling that I’d done something wrong behind Kael’s back hit me hard. We had an agreement, sure, but as long as I wasn’t flirting with other guys, we were fine yeah? I was just having a drink with my girls, nothing more.So why did I feel like I’d crossed some invisible line?“Gals, I’m hitting the bathroom,” I said, trying to sound casual.Callista and Vivi nodded, barely glancing up from their drinks. I stood and weaved through the crowd, my skin prickling like someone was watching my every step. You know that feeling like eyes are boring to you? Yeah, that. I took a deep breath, shaking it off. He’s not my boyfriend, Elara. Chill.Relax, you got this, I whispered to myself, though my nerves were still on edge.I cursed under my breath when I realized I had no clue where the bathroom was. The club’s pulsing music didn’t help. I tapped the shoul
