LOGINELARA'S POV
The moment our eyes locked, my heart started pounding like a drum. It was definitely not love… God, no..but the nagging feeling that I’d done something wrong behind Kael’s back hit me hard. We had an agreement, sure, but as long as I wasn’t flirting with other guys, we were fine yeah? I was just having a drink with my girls, nothing more. So why did I feel like I’d crossed some invisible line? “Gals, I’m hitting the bathroom,” I said, trying to sound casual. Callista and Vivi nodded, barely glancing up from their drinks. I stood and weaved through the crowd, my skin prickling like someone was watching my every step. You know that feeling like eyes are boring to you? Yeah, that. I took a deep breath, shaking it off. He’s not my boyfriend, Elara. Chill. Relax, you got this, I whispered to myself, though my nerves were still on edge. I cursed under my breath when I realized I had no clue where the bathroom was. The club’s pulsing music didn’t help. I tapped the shoulder of a girl nearby an emo type with dark eyeliner and asked, “Where’s the bathroom?” She didn’t hear me over the thumping bass, so I leaned closer and shouted, “Bathroom?” “Just turn left,” she said, pointing lazily. “Thanks.” I followed her directions, my heels clicking against the floor. As I reached for the doorknob, a hand grabbed my left arm, firm and unyielding. My eyes widened when I saw Kael Draven Beaumont standing there, his dark gaze pinning me in place. I forced myself to relax, plastering on a confident smile to hide the way my pulse spiked. “Hi,” I chirped, trying not to stutter. “ Nice meeting you here.” Kael’s grip tightened, and I winced. “Hey,” I said, tugging at my arm. “Kael, let go.” “You’re with your friends, huh?” His voice was low, serious, almost accusing. “Of course I am,” I shot back, rolling my eyes. Is he blind? “Why didn’t you tell me you were going out?” I laughed, the sound sharp and disbelieving. What was the point? He wasn’t my boyfriend. We were just… casual. “As far as I remember, I’m not obliged to report my every move to you. Don’t worry,” I said, stepping closer and trailing a hand down his chest, my voice turning sweet and flirty. “We’re just having drinks. I’m not out here flirting with other guys.” His brows furrowed, but he loosened his grip, only to slide his arms around my waist and pull me flush against him. I gasped as our bodies collided, our eyes locking in a way that sparked something electric. And, well, it seemed I’d awakened something else in him, too. “Oops,” I said, pushing back slightly. Kael let go, but his eyes stayed on me, intense. “We’re not doing this here. I really need to pee. Ciao!” I flashed a grin and opened the bathroom door, stepping inside. I was about to close it when Kael shoved it open and slipped in behind me. My eyes widened as he locked the door with a click. “Kael, get out!” I said, shoving at his chest. But he was like a damn wall six feet two, broad shoulders, all muscle. Immovable. He shook his head. “No.” I cursed under my breath. “Please, Kael, this is the ladies’ bathroom, for God’s sake.” “You’re going to leave me like this?” he said, glancing down at himself pointedly. “After you seduced me and got me all worked up?” I couldn’t help it. I laughed. “Seduced you? I barely touched you!” “You touched me,” he said, his voice low and serious, “and you did that sweet-talking thing. I’m not letting this go without having you.” I raised an eyebrow. “I’m about to take a dump, so get out.” I turned away, but before I could take a step, Kael grabbed me from behind and hoisted me up. I squealed. “Kael!” What if someone heard me? The bouncers would probably kick my ass out of this place. He set me on the countertop, muttering, “Damn, you’re heavy.” I scoffed, laughing despite myself. “Who told you to carry me, huh? And I’m not heavy, I'm sexy, just so you know.” He smirked and leaned in, kissing me so suddenly it stole my breath. I wrapped my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss, but he grabbed my wrists and pinned them against the mirror behind me. Our kisses were frantic, hungry, like we were devouring each other. His hands roamed my back, then slid to my thighs, gripping them firmly. He tugged my dress down to my waist, exposing my strapless bra, and I braced my palms on the tiled countertop for support. His lips trailed from my mouth to my ear, then down my neck, his left hand teasing the tip of my breast. I moaned, arching into him, giving him better access. “They’ll h-hear us ah… outside,” I managed between moans. “The room,” he said, his mouth closing over my breast, sucking hard, “is soundproof.” I shuddered, the sensation overwhelming. “How..how do you know?” He straightened, meeting my eyes. “Because I own this place.” My jaw dropped. “What? I didn’t know that.” “Now you know,” he said with a smug grin. Then he kissed me again, his hands cupping my breasts, fingers teasing the peaks. He sucked both at once, pulling them together, and I groaned loudly. He hiked my dress up to my waist and slid off my underwear, finding my core. Gently pushing me back, he let my elbows prop me up. Soft kisses peppered my left thigh, and then he slid a finger inside me. I moaned louder as he moved it slowly at first, then faster, in and out. Our eyes met. “You like it?” he asked, his voice rough. I bit my lip, nodding, trying to stifle another moan. “I’m… near,” I gasped, and then I came, my body trembling. I thought he’d stop there, but I was wrong. His mouth replaced his finger, and I grabbed his hair, groaning as his tongue explored me, swirling and sucking. I came again, harder this time. Kael stood, unbuckling his belt and shoving his pants to his knees. I gasped at the sight of him, hard and ready. He pulled me closer, and I welcomed him, our bodies joining in a rush of pleasure. We both moaned, lost in the rhythm of his deep, steady thrusts. My arms wrapped around his neck, my breasts pressed against his chest, warmth spreading through me. He closed his eyes, savoring the moment, his hands gently caressing my breasts. “You took your pills, right?” he asked between thrusts. I nodded, eyes fluttering shut as the sensations built. Kael moved faster, harder, deeper, until I felt him release inside me. He lifted me off the counter, setting me down, then turned me to face the mirror. Gripping my waist, he nudged my legs apart with his foot and entered me from behind, thrusting roughly. Our moans filled the room, our bodies colliding in a wild, primal rhythm. We both came again, breathless and spent. No one interrupted us, lucky, since I was sure we’d been loud enough to draw a crowd. “Kael,” I said as he buckled his belt. “What?” He leaned in, hands on either side of the counter, caging me in. “This isn’t a public restroom, is it?” He smirked. “Exactly what I thought you’d ask. No, it’s not.” I threw a playful punch at his chest. “You beast.” “Beast in fucking… you?” he teased, the corner of his mouth twitching. “Crazy,” I muttered, turning to the mirror to fix my dress and hair. “I need to go. Callie and Vivi are probably wondering where I am.” He smirked again, and something about it made me suspicious. I narrowed my eyes. “You know what, Kael? I’m a keen observer. I know you’re hiding something.” He chuckled. “Your friends have already gone home.” My eyes widened, and I fumbled with my clutch. “What? That’s impossible.” He shrugged. “See for yourself.” I rushed out to where I’d last seen Callie and Vivi, but they were gone. Kael was right. I wandered the club, hoping they were dancing or at the bar, but no sign of them. Frustration boiled over, and I tugged at my hair. How am I getting home? I needed to find Kael that infuriating asshole. He was climbing the stairs when I spotted him. “Kael!” I called, but the music drowned me out. I shouted again, and he paused, turning slightly. I climbed up, stopping two steps below him. “What?” he asked, raising a brow. “What did you do to my friends?” “Huh? I didn’t do anything.” “Liar.” I grabbed his collar, not caring who saw. He leaned down as I pulled him closer. “Whoa, chill, tigress,” he said, gently prying my hands off and setting them down. “Here’s the scenario. When you looked at me, I came downstairs. You made an excuse to go to the bathroom, so I talked to your friends. Told them I’d take you home. They agreed.” “You convinced them that fast?” I asked, skeptical. He nodded, biting his lip to stifle a laugh. “Liar,” I said, laughing sarcastically. “You’re not that charming. My friends wouldn’t leave me here alone.” “ Really, you don't believe me? Call them if you want. But whether you like it or not…” He paused, smirking. “You’re going home with me, baby.” He winked.ELARA'S POVCallie’s eyes widened when she saw the guy who was with me. The two of us seemed to catch the attention of the people inside the bar. I looked down at the floor to hide my face. How could we not catch attention when Kael walks like a model with his hand holding mine while the other is inside his pocket? He’s wearing a black shirt and black denim pants paired with white rubber shoes. It’s simple yet eye-catching.This guy can’t stop confusing me, I thought.I sat on my usual seat while Kael grabbed the chair to our left. He then sat down and rested his right arm on the top rail of my seat. He leaned closer to me, and our bodies touched, making me shiver. It felt like an electric bolt surged through my system. He then pressed my arm from behind. I looked at him and glared, giving him a don’t-you-dare look.Kael just smirked and averted his gaze forward, playing innocent.God! Kael and his man whore skills. Does he need to press my arm? I thought.I looked at Callie, and she
Elara's POV.This was just what Kael liked we stayed in his place. We did nothing but cuddle on his huge comfy bed.The clock hit one in the afternoon when I woke up. It was a miracle and a record-breaking for us not to do such a thing aside from cuddling. We just slept together until we gained what we needed. My eyes met the Greek God-like Kael Draven Beaumont, with his long eyelashes, sharp nose, and cute re-pink lips. The latter thought made me gulp.Whoever the girl he wanted to be with for the rest of his life would be fortunate.I wished I was, I thought. But here came the reality I could never have him. I was just nobody. He wasn't serious about our setup. All along I knew it was just a game.I slowly moved away from his arm that rested on my tummy, hugging me. When done, I then stood up, went out of the room, and walked straight to the kitchen to prepare some food. It was past lunch, and my stomach was grumbling. And I bet, when the beast woke up, he needed to be fed too.Kael
ELARA'S POV “How many days that you haven’t let your veggie be watered, Elara?”“What the…” I covered Callie’s mouth and looked around. Damn! “Will you please shut this mouth?” I said as I removed my hand from her mouth. For goodness’ sake, we’re inside of a fancy restaurant, full of well-known business royalties.“What?” Callie mumbled and smirked at me.“Will you please lower down your voice?”Callie rolled her eyes. “Whatever, I’m just asking you a question, right Vivi?” she asked Vivi who is busy on her phone.“Ha?” is all that Vivi uttered.“Seriously, Vivi? Is there something I need to fish out?” Callie asked and raised her left brow.“N-Nothing, of course,” Vivi answered and put down her phone at the table. “So, I heard Kael is in France. Why is that?” she then asked, seems to catch up to our topic.I shrugged my shoulders and said, “Business?”“You’re not sure? Aren’t you two dating?” asked Callie, with her mocking tone.“Says who? We go out just for a business thing,” I repl
ELARA'S POV “It’s impossible that I can make Kael fall for me,” I said, seeming hopeless.“What? Of course, you can,” said Callie as she sat down beside me.We’re inside my condo and it’s past three in the afternoon already. We just had a movie marathon and a girl’s talk. Callie and Vivi said that they will go home before five o’clock.“Why did you say that it is impossible?” asked Vivi.I reached out for the glass of juice and drank. I then put it back on the table. “Well, first, Kael hates commitment. And we all know that since the beginning. Second, I don’t know why he hates it,” I said and laughed. My friends threw a piece of biscuits in my direction. “Crazy,” Callie mumbled.“Of course, he was afraid to be hurt to be broken. Few think that if they enter a commitment, it seems like they are burying themselves. You know, they don’t want to be strangled,” Vivi explained.“Strangle? Those men have no balls,” said Callie, with bitterness in her voice. “They don’t know how to take a r
ELARA'S POV It was eight in the morning when Callie and Vivi picked me up. They invited me over for breakfast in Callie’s restaurant. My friends kept interrogating me. But I didn’t know what to answer or where to start. I just told them that I would answer after breakfast so they would stop. Besides, after it, we would be hanging out in my condo. My father called me over the phone and said that I had a trip abroad for business matters. I declined it but he blackmailed me and said that I would not inherit any single pound from our company. I just scoffed and laughed. As if he could do it. Knowing my mother? She wouldn’t agree with it. My mother loves me so much that she won’t let it happen. So, if Elara said no, then it’s a no. My father does the business thing on that trip.Yes. I’m hardheaded. But no one can blame me, I hate business. When I was young, I always wanted to be a doctor, but it turns out I became a businesswoman. There’s nothing wrong with being a businesswoman either.
ELARA'S POV I woke up groggy, a tickling sensation stirring the lower part of my body. Something warm seemed to caress me, sending shivers through my skin. “Hmm…” I mumbled, my eyes fluttering open. Darkness enveloped me, and I blinked to adjust my vision. My breath caught when I saw the silhouette of a man whose sharp features were unmistakable. It was definitely Kael.“What are you doing?” I asked, pulling myself up and leaning against the headboard. I cursed silently. For heaven’s sake, I was naked. My eyes darted to the digital clock beside the lamp.4:18 AMKael moved closer. I grabbed the duvet, yanking it over my body to cover my nakedness. He smirked, his eyes glinting in the dim light.“You don’t need to hide it. I’ve already seen it and touched it,” he said, his voice dripping with mockery. He crawled toward me like a playful child, and despite myself, I smiled. His brows furrowed. “Is something funny?” he asked.I sat up straighter, shaking my head. “Nothing.”He
