KAEL'S POV
I had no choice but to drive Elara home. Her arms crossed and her eyes fixed out the window like I didn’t exist. She was still pissed, probably replaying what I’d said to her friends about them ditching her so easily. I didn’t mean for it to sting her like that anyway, but damn, she looked super cute when she's furious. When I pulled up to her building, she didn’t even wait for me to kill the engine. She flung the car door open, slid out, and stormed toward the elevator like she was on a mission. I locked the car and followed her, catching her just as she pressed the elevator button. Her eyes widened when she saw me walking toward her, and I swear I saw a flash of panic mixed with that fiery annoyance. “What the hell, Kael? Go home,” she snapped, her voice sharp enough to cut glass. The elevator doors started to slide shut, but I slipped my hand in just in time, stepping inside with a smirk. Her arms crossed tighter, and she spun to face me, her dark eyes blazing. “Don’t you understand what I just said?” “What?” I asked, playing dumb, leaning against the wall like I had all the time in the world. “I said, go home. Why are you following me?” Her voice was pure exasperation now, and I couldn’t help it. I let out a low chuckle. Her forehead creased, and I could practically hear her thoughts like: Is this guy serious? “Whoa, you’re angry?” I teased, raising an eyebrow. She let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose like I was giving her a headache. “Geez, Kael, I’m not playing games here.” “Neither am I,” I said, dropping the playful tone and locking eyes with her. Those deep, serious eyes of hers always seduced me, and I wasn’t about to let her brush me off. She rubbed her temples, looking exhausted. “Look, I’m tired. Can we save the drama for another day?” Before I could think twice, I stepped closer, pulling her into a hug. She stiffened at first, like she was about to shove me away, but I held on gently. “You think I’m here to mess with you? Well, maybe a little,” I admitted, my voice softening, “but really, I just wanted to make sure you got home safe. That’s it.” Her body relaxed against mine, and I felt her heart pick up speed and mine did too, if I’m honest. She hugged me back, and for a moment, the tension between us melted. I knew how to calm her down, even when she was ready to bite my head off. I ran my hand up and down her back, soothing her, until I got a little carried away, my hand drifting a bit lower. “Kael,” she warned, her voice low and dangerous. “Stop it. Don’t you dare.” “Shhh…” I murmured, but she wasn’t having it. “Kael, we’re in an elevator,” she said, her tone sharp as she wriggled out of my grip. I let go, holding up my hands in surrender. “Sorry,” I said, though of course I wasn't. She sighed, nodding as the elevator dinged and the doors slid open. Without a word, she marched out, heading straight for her apartment. I followed behind, watching her look for her keys in that oversized bag of hers. She unlocked the door, pushed it open, and then glanced back at me. “Come in. I’ll make you coffee.” I stepped inside as she tossed her keys into a glass bowl on the table, the clink echoing in the quiet space. She headed to the kitchen, and I could tell she was skeptical of my “just wanted to get you home safe” line. The way her eyes flicked over me, like she could see right through me, told me she knew I wasn’t entirely innocent. While she busied herself with the coffee maker, I couldn’t resist. I came up behind her, sliding my arms around her waist, pulling her close. “Hey,” she said, slipping out of my grasp with a quickness that almost made me laugh. “You sit over there and wait for your coffee.” She pointed to a chair at the counter, her tone firm but laced with that playful edge I loved. I didn’t budge. Instead, I pulled her back, resting my chin on her shoulder, breathing in the faint scent of her perfume. “You smell good, baby,” I whispered, letting my lips brush her ear. She rolled her eyes and said “Thank you, but…” She pried my arms off her waist, pushing me back. “I need a shower, and you need to drink your coffee. Then go home.” I laughed, grabbing the steaming mug she’d set out for me. I blew on it, taking my time, savoring the way she was trying so hard to act unaffected. She shook her head, turning away, but I wasn’t done. “You’re really gonna leave me here?” I asked, leaning back in the chair. She raised a brow, “Yes. I need sleep, Kael. When you’re done, lock the door behind you. Goodnight.” ELARA'S POV As the cold water dripped down my body, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. The exhaustion from the day melted away. I couldn’t believe how insatiable Kael was when it came to sex. He could do it or I mean we could do it anywhere, anytime. But what was I going to tell my friends when we met tomorrow? How could I explain this? That Kael and I were… what?, fuck buddies? I cursed under my breath, muttering, “Damn you, Kael.” Why did he have to go and talk to my friends? Knowing Selene, Callie, and Vivi, they’d question me for every single detail. Callie, especially, would have me cornered, her sharp eyes demanding answers. I’d be so dead. I was combing my hair, staring into the mirror, when the door swung open. Kael’s reflection appeared behind me, and I turned around to face him. “What the hell are you doing here?” I shouted. Kael closed the door and walked over to my bed. He threw himself onto it, stretching lazily and looking at me with that infuriatingly relaxed grin. “I’m too lazy to go home because of your coffee,” he said, closing his eyes. Coffee? Who did he think he was fooling with that excuse? I threw the comb down on my table, the loud thump echoing in the room. Heading over to him, I rested my hands on my hips. “You can’t fool the hell out of me, Kael.” Then, in a burst of frustration, I shoved him. He tumbled off the bed and hit the floor with a thud. “Damn, woman!” he hissed, standing up and rubbing his back. I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. It wasn’t like I meant to push him that hard. It was supposed to be a light nudge anyway. “You think that’s funny?” he asked, his voice suddenly serious. My laughter died in my throat, and I swallowed hard as he started walking toward me, his steps slow and deliberate. “You’re making me angry,” he said, his tone firm, his dark eyes burning with something intense. I gulped again, trying to hold my ground. “Sorry.” I smirked, pressing my palms against his chest to keep some distance between us. Kael was tall, forcing me to tilt my head back to meet his gaze, those burning, dangerous eyes. “It’s your fault,” I said, trying to sound unaffected despite the heat radiating from him. “I told you to go home, but you didn’t listen.” I took a step back. He stepped forward. “Kael,” I warned. “What?” he replied, We kept up this dance until my back hit the wall. A smirk curled on his lips. I squeezed my eyes shut as he planted his arms on either side of me, caging me against the wall. “You make me angry,” he murmured, his lips brushing the side of my head, “and at the same time, you make me horny because of this.” His hand slid down, grazing my curves. I cursed under my breath as his touch sent warmth spreading through me. “You’re loving it, aren’t you?” he teased. All I could manage was a groan. I gasped when his lips claimed mine, kissing me with the ferocity of a starving lion. I moaned, my arms instinctively wrapping around his neck to deepen the kiss. His hands roamed, cupping my breasts, kneading them with a hunger that made my head spin. He stripped off his clothes, and I felt my breasts spring free as he removed my top. They bounced slightly, and he wasted no time, his lips trailing from my mouth to my neck, then lower, until he reached my peak. He sucked hungrily, his hand sliding down to my waist, tugging off my shorts and underwear in one swift motion, leaving me naked. “Lights off,” I commanded. The bright room dimmed instantly. Kael paused, looking at me with a mix of surprise and amusement. “You installed advanced tech too?” he asked, clearly impressed. He unbuckled his belt, shedding his pants and the last of his clothes. I couldn’t see his shaft in the dim light, but I could make out his form, it was firm, hard, and ready. “I got jealous of your place,” I said with a smirk, “so I decided to install it too.” I pulled him close, kissing him again, his hardness brushing against my belly, sending a ticklish thrill through me. God, this man made me ache for him, and I wasn’t about to deny it. I wanted him inside me, now, I mean so bad. Kael lifted me effortlessly, pinning my back against the wall as he kissed me with raw, unbridled passion. Then, adjusting himself, he thrust into me, hard. I groaned, the slight sting of his entry quickly giving way to pleasure. He moved deeper, faster, each thrust rocking me to my core. I clung to him, barely able to keep up with the intensity. “Oh, Kael…ah..ah..” I groaned, cursing as my body trembled, teetering on the edge of release. His movements grew bolder, wilder. How could a billionaire like him be this ravenous, this hungry for everything? Still buried inside me, he carried me to the bed, laying me down without breaking what we had. He thrust again, lifting my legs to rest on his shoulders. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, he flipped me over, my back to him, and took me from behind. His pace quickened, delving deeper, his groans mixing with mine as he chased his own release. I felt it building, the overwhelming sensation of my climax approaching. Kael gathered my hair in his hand, pulling gently as he thrust even faster. The tingling, electric pleasure pushed me over the edge, and I came, my body shuddering. Kael didn’t stop, groaning loudly as he reached his own peak, his release spilling inside me, trailing down my thighs. When it was over, he grabbed some wet wipes from my table, cleaning himself first, then gently wiping me down. He climbed onto the bed, pushing me up so my head rested on the soft pillow. I didn’t care that I was still naked, I was completely wasted and desperate for sleep.KAEL'S POV I had no choice but to drive Elara home. ELARA'S POV The moment our eyes locked, my heart started pounding like a drum. It was definitely not love… God, no..but the nagging feeling that I’d done something wrong behind Kael’s back hit me hard. We had an agreement, sure, but as long as I wasn’t flirting with other guys, we were fine yeah? I was just having a drink with my girls, nothing more.So why did I feel like I’d crossed some invisible line?“Gals, I’m hitting the bathroom,” I said, trying to sound casual.Callista and Vivi nodded, barely glancing up from their drinks. I stood and weaved through the crowd, my skin prickling like someone was watching my every step. You know that feeling like eyes are boring to you? Yeah, that. I took a deep breath, shaking it off. He’s not my boyfriend, Elara. Chill.Relax, you got this, I whispered to myself, though my nerves were still on edge.I cursed under my breath when I realized I had no clue where the bathroom was. The club’s pulsing music didn’t help. I tapped the shoul
Elara’s POVMy wish came true. Kael and I had lunch and dinner at a fancy restaurant, and it was perfect. Afterward, he drove me back to my condo. Of course , we couldn’t part ways without the main meal, and we had sex three times that day. First in my car, then in my bedroom, and finally in the bathroom. The next morning, my period arrived, and I told Kael. He didn’t have much to say afterall , just that he’d wait until it was over.Kael seems to be enjoying our agreement, and honestly, I can’t believe I’m in this situation. He’s pieced together half of my broken heart, the part shattered by Adrian when he betrayed me. Kael’s been teaching me new, wild things, things I never did before or imagined I would later do. I’m turning twenty-six next month, and at this stage, I should be thinking about starting a family.Well I owe so much to Kael. If he hadn’t come into my life, I’d probably still be drunk, and crying over Adrian’s cheating.“Elara, you coming with us tonight?” Call
ELARA'S POV I cursed under my breath when I saw my ex-boyfriend, Adrian, with his girlfriend, Selene, entering the FREX hotel. The hotel is owned by my family. Did they really choose my hotel to do their nonsense? I froze the moment they stepped inside. Through my blazing eyes, I watched their every move. It was only eight in the morning, and already my day felt ruined because of what I’d witnessed. Adrian knew we owned this place!!it’s my hotel, for crying out loud! What a shameless jerk. When they got their key, Selene snaked her arm around Adrian’s. I winced, feeling a wave of disgust. Honestly, I didn’t care anymore. What’s done is done, and not like I can undo the past or travel back to where it all began. All I could do was move on, and I was doing a damn good job of it.Once those two were out of sight, I stormed inside. We had a meeting about our new project, and my dad, Damian, had mentioned there was a new board of directors member. This new person apparently o
ELARA'S POV Callie , my best friend, stopped by early that morning. She was worried I might be spiraling, maybe even suicidal, after the heartbreak. As if I’d let a breakup reduce me to that. I’m not some fragile thing to be shattered by a jerk who didn’t deserve me.“You’re glowing, Elara,” Callie said, plopping onto the single sofa in my living room. “It’s like no one’s ever broken your heart.” I was so focused on the documents in front of me, I was signing some papers at least it kept my mind off things. “You’re imagining things,” I replied, barely looking up. “You and Dad said the same thing this morning. He called me radiant, now you are saying I'm glowing… same idea, different words. Thanks for the compliment, though.” I kept signing .Callie leaned forward, her voice teasing. “Come on, spill it. Is there someone mending your heart back together?” I paused, mid-page, and raised an eyebrow at her. “No. Why? Should I be crying all day, locked in my room, drowning in alcoh
ELARA'S POV Three days have passed since I gave my purity to a stranger. I laugh at the thought, I shared it with someone I didn’t even know, not with my boyfriend, Adrian. It’s absurd, but it felt… good, despite the pain. That night, I learned pain could turn into pleasure too.I can’t explain why, but I want to do it again with him, Kael Beaumont, the CEO of the Beaumont Group of Companies. The richest bachelor in town, a notorious womanizer, and a man who shuns commitment. I only realized it was him after finding a card he left behind in the room. His name was printed on it, and I researched him to confirm he was the same infamous playboy. He’s one of our major investors. I’ve seen him at elite parties, mingling with high society. Did he recognize me that night, or did he think I was just some prostitute looking for a paid thrill? I don’t regret what happened anyway. I want something new, that sex we shared. I want to explore deeper things with him.I decided to go to Kael's
