Fifty Four: Standing Up For A Friend

Inez slowly opened her eyes, feeling groggy from a night of restless sleep. Her mind immediately went to the book series that Alpha Dorian II had given her, and she began to search for it in the small room she had been given in Alpha Phineas's pack house. As she rummaged through her few belongings, she realized that the books were nowhere to be found. Panic started to set in as she thought of the possibility that Alpha Phineas's mother, who owned the books before, may have taken them away. After all, Alpha Dorian II had mentioned how much she loved the series.

The thought that someone had taken it, perhaps even Alpha Phineas's mother who owned the book, made her blood boil. How could they take something that was so precious to her? How could they be so cruel?

Inez's frustration grew into anger as she paced around the room, her mind racing with possibilities of who could have taken the book. She couldn't believe that someone could be so heartless to take something that meant so much to
