Thirty Eight: Failed Plans

Inez’s POV

Falling asleep wasn’t part of her plans. She was meant to have fled away as soon it was midnight and then everyone around the pack is fast asleep.

Yet she ended up sleeping herself and for that, she began to hate herself for doing so. She would have been far away from the pack now and she would have been happy.

Slowly, she took her body off the bed and stayed by the balcony, looking at the sunrise and whatever was occurring in the pack house.

It was peaceful until she sighted that same lady she had seen the first day she had been in the pack house, the lady was talking to the only person she had considered a friend since the girl was nice to her.

Nelly squeezed her face due to what the lady had probably said before walking away. The lady screamed out Nelly’s name, calling her back but all to no avail. Nelly walked off, her hands akimbo as she used the other door to the pack house kitchen.

And that made Inez more interested in knowing who the lady is. The last time she saw
