MasukAlana's POV.
The club was packed, I was surprised to see other rich famous people here, I never knew clubbing was a thing. My eyes scanned the room, spotting a lot of familiar faces and faces I've been seeing only on television. The noise level was deafening, and I felt dizzy from being overwhelmed by it all. I made my way through the crowd and looked around for Cara. "You're here." Cara appeared right next to me. She held two drinks in her hands, "Hey Alana, I got you a drink." she winked. I collected the drink, "so this is how a club is." I looked around at the people dancing. I could tell that they were having a great time. Cara laughed, "We should dance too!" She grabbed my wrist and dragged me onto the dance floor. The music started playing, the beat fast paced and pulsing. We danced with ease, our movements fluid and in sync, we didn't need to look at each other to know what the other was doing. I yelped when I bumped into a hard chest, I turned to look up at who it was. My cheeks turned a deep red as I looked up at him. "Sorry." I managed to mumble an apology. He grinned. A mischievous glint shone through his grey eyes. "Sorry about that," he said. His hair, dark brown curls fell down over one eye. He had a very attractive face, it's almost unfair how good looking he is. "I'm Xavier." he extended his hand. It took me another minute to register that he wanted to shake my hand, "Alana." I shook his hand and smiled shyly back. I couldn't believe I just met him, and he already makes me feel flustered. Cara's sudden throat clearing made me realize that we weren't alone anymore, and she was staring at us with wide eyes. I blushed and looked away from him as he looked down at Cara. She dragged me away from him, "excuse me for a minute." "Wow, you've met someone so good looking." Cara grinned, I was still flushed from the encounter. "He seemed nice," I mumbled. She scoffed, "And hot you mean, you need to get laid tonight, you can't let your husband be the one who will get to sleep with you first." she wiggled her eyebrows. I slapped her arm playfully, "shut up Cara." I rolled my eyes at her. "I like him, but is that how one night stands work?" "Yes, duh, I've had many and in this club, I don't even meet them anymore, just have fun for tonight." She smirked. "Fine, I'm nervous though." I admitted. "Well relax then, go have fun." she nudged me back to the dance floor where Xavier was waiting. I bit my lips nervously, unsure what to do as I stared at him. Xavier must have sensed my hesitance, because he grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the dance floor. Cara cheered and waved us off, "Good luck babe!" Xavier spun me around, making me laugh. I felt myself getting more comfortable as we began to move together. The music swirled around us, and we moved together perfectly as if we were dancing in perfect unison. It was like we were a part of each other. His eyes twinkled with delight. We swayed side to side to the sound of the bass thumping against my skin. His arm circled my waist, pulling me closer to him. My heart beat faster, my body felt warm as his breath tickled my neck. The heat from my cheeks intensified, feeling my heartbeat accelerate. I suddenly became aware of Xavier's proximity. Our bodies were flush against each other. We stayed there, in the middle of the dance floor swaying slowly, as we stared at each other. Xavier's dark eyes gazed into mine, and I could see myself reflected in those beautiful grey depths. He leaned towards me, pausing for a while as I nodded quickly, he slowly closed the gap between our lips. I closed my eyes and waited for the inevitable. His lips touched mine softly, sending chills down my spine. I kissed back eagerly, my hands coming up to tangle themselves in his thick hair. His strong arms wrapped around my body, holding me close. He pulled back slightly. I opened my eyes slowly, meeting his gaze again. He licked his lips before continuing. His hands traced my jawline gently, caressing my cheekbones, resting on the sides of my neck. His soft fingertips ghosted across my skin, sending electricity surging down my nerves. When he finally drew back enough to speak, his voice was husky, raspy, sexy. "Alana...you are..." his words trailed off before fading into incoherent murmurs as he leaned forward again kissing me softly. His tongue slid along my bottom lip asking for entrance into my mouth, I accepted without hesitation. He kissed me deeply, passionately, and I lost myself, drowning in the pleasure of being in his arms. "Let's go somewhere private." I managed to say, surprised it was coming from me. His expression changed, a small smile crept onto his face, his green eyes shining brightly. "Follow me." I heard Xavier whisper before leading me to a pathway. His large warm hand enclosed mine. I squeezed his hand in response, letting him know that I was here with him. We stepped onto an outdoor balcony, I glanced around, not sure which direction he was taking me. His grip tightened on my hand as he guided me, keeping us pressed closely together as he did so. "This is my penthouse." He said when we reached a large door which was intricately carved with golden designs. He paused before pulling out a key ring. He unlocked the door and pushed it open. The inside looked breathtaking, he turned to me, "Are you sure?" he asked. I nodded immediately, I didn't want to think of anything more than this. His hand intertwined with mine again, leading me deeper inside.Alana's POV. I looked around the corridor, a little scared of meeting Rolland as I finally came out of the room hours after Cara left. I didn't feel safe around him, and though I didn't want to admit it, his anger and the way he acted while he was drunk scared me. Rushing to the dining room, I forced a smile when I saw everyone seated already. "Good morning everyone." I greeted, and my voice sounded shaky. "Sorry if I'm late." I sighed in relief when I didn't see Rolland around. "It's okay." Mrs Alejandro replied, her facial expression made me know it wasn't okay that I came late for breakfast. "I thought you said you'll share a room with Rolland." Mrs Alejandro pointed out. "Where is he?" Her tone had an edge that made me uncomfortable. "I don't know." I whispered back nervously. It was true, I didn't know where he was at the moment. I just wanted to stay away from him for the meantime, and what happened made me view him differently. "I need to talk to you about
Alana's POV. A yelp left my mouth when I suddenly got dragged, with great force, from the bed. "What are you doing?" I gasped. Rolland glared hard at me, his breathing a little uneven, I sniffled the smell of alcohol coming from him filled my nostrils. "You were supposed to be awake, waiting for me as my wife." He growled at me. "I waited, but I fell asleep." I mumbled, his anger scaring me. I tensed when he began pacing the room, muttering incoherently, it was very obvious he was extremely drunk. "You didn't tell me you had a junior brother?" I tried to lighten the air,but it didn't help. Talking about his brother seemed to piss him off more, he walked towards me, his eyes blazing in rage. I shivered when my back touched the cold wall immediately, looking up at Rolland with my head bowed low, "What's wrong with you?" He grabbed my wrist harshly making me flinch, I held back the whimper of pain as I felt the skin being crushed under his fingers. "Don't you eve
Alana's POV. "I went to freshen up." I replied, wondering if my face looked as disheveled as I felt. My lips were tingling and the kiss I just shared with Xavier was still fresh on my mind. My eyes met Cara's and she raised her eyebrows suspiciously, "What happened?" she mouthed. "I'll tell you later." I mouthed back and gave her a smile. Cara nodded and continued eating,my heart began thumping when I heard footsteps. I could feel Xavier's gaze on me, his stare burning through my skin like fire. "You left again?" Rolland asked him. "Something came up," he answered simply, his jaw clenching. Rolland sighed and turned around, looking for another target. I could still feel Xavier's gaze burn through my skin, his stare burning through my skin like fire. "Thank you for the meal." Xavier sighed, getting up from his chair. "Where are you going?" Mr Alejandro asked him. Xavier took out his phone and looked down at it, "I have business to attend to." He answer
Alana's POV. I heaved a sigh of relief when I reached the hallway, sitting down there and pretending to eat, while all I could think of and focus on was Xavier was tiring. I could feel his eyes on me every second, it felt like I was his only focus there and it unnerved me. I was still dealing with the shock of finding out that he's my husband's junior brother. Sitting down there and feeling his eyes on me while reminiscing about our night made my head spin just thinking about it. A yelp left my mouth when a hand suddenly grabbed me to the corner. I looked up to meet those intense grey eyes, and gulped. "What are you doing?" I thought as I tried to pull back, but he held me tight as a vice. "You." Xavier spoke. He let go of me to lean against the wall behind me, so close that our chests were touching. "When did you plan to tell me you were getting married?" "No, don't answer that." He added when I opened my mouth to reply. "But-""No." Xavier stopped me from protestin
Xavier's POV. I wasn't ready for the shock I just had, the woman I've been looking for since I woke up, the woman who vanished from my bed and penthouse, was sitting at the other end of the table as my older brother's wife. I couldn't believe it, it took a lot for me to wear down the shock I felt, the woman I had a one night stand with, the woman I didn't want to let go. Her eyes avoided mine everytime I stared at her, her hand nervously scratching the nape of her neck. Our passionate night flashed in my head, how she was so hot underneath me, I swear I could hear every word that came out of her mouth, I could feel how soft her skin was, I didn't want to let her go, for the first time, I slept peacefully because she was there. The pang of pain I wasn't ready for hit me, a stabbing ache in my chest. "I really thought you won't show up Xavier." My dad commented, dragging me out of my thoughts. "I didn't expect to show up." I managed a smile, hoping that my voice doesn't be
Alana's POV. My nerves are all over the place today. I sat on the long stool placed for me, nervous about how today will turn out. I can't believe I'll be getting married in an hour, the makeup artist tilted my face to apply the finishing touches. The makeup artist is making my lips red and glossy like a fresh peach. The lipstick makes me look even more seductive than before, though. She applies the last touch just right, then steps back to admire her work."You're beautiful," she says. Then she pulls away with a sigh."I'm done." She hollered at someone through the door. "You can come in now." I rolled my eyes when my dad and mom walked inside the room, dressed up in fancy clothes, something I knew they wouldn't buy, I could just guess it was from the Alejandro's family pocket. "You look beautiful and ready." My dad smiled at me. "Yeah, like a prized cow." I grumbled under my breath. My mom gave a sharp intake of breath. "You don't have to act like it's the end of y
