Chapter 1

Bottles breaking. Quinn flinched, scared as once again her parents were engaging in a fierce, drunken argument. Their arguments always turned ugly.

"It is all your fault!" I heard my mother scream. I walked closer to the living room.

"How is it my fault, huh? You are such a fucking bitch! You and that fucking girl are the worst thing that ever happened to me!" her father yelled back.

"What do you fucking mean, David? You were the one who fucking knocked me up. I wanted to abort it, but your stupid fucking mother told me to keep it. I never wanted to marry you also! I never wanted a child!" She yelled back.

"Well, I want out of this marriage!, I never wanted you! And that pregnancy is not mine! That child you birth is also not mine. Go fucking look for her owner!" her father yelled. Quinn shakily stood and watched how both her parents never wanted her. They always deny her and it saddens her a lot, her parent's will never love her.

"You can divorce me, David, but you have to take your fucking daughter because I do not want her. She is a fucking mistake! And I do not want her!, this pregnancy is the only thing I want!" She yelled, pointing at her still flat stomach. Her father humorlessly laughed.

"Of course you want it. You think I do not know about your mysterious lover? John, you think I don't see you!, you think I am not informed about your many lovers!" He yelled. A look of shock passed over her mother's face.

"David, what are you talking about, what lover!" She yelled.

"You are still lying to me!" He yelled, slapping her mother. She fell on the couch, holding her face. But he didn't stop there. He removed his belt and started beating her.

"Fucking losed bitch!, I never should have even knocked your miserable ass up!" He yelled, hitting her everywhere.

"David, stop!" Her mother yelled, trying to protect her stomach from the hits. Quinn looked at her parents, as this was a daily occurrence in the house. But that night was different because her father had caught her.

"You! What are you fucking looking at?" He asked, no longer beating her mother. Her mother laid down on the couch passed out. Quinn shook her head, her heart beating loudly.

"No.. nothing, father," she said. He dropped his belt on the floor and stalked closer to her. Quinn moved back, afraid of what might happen. Her mother will never come to her rescue; they both hate her, it is something she knows all too well.

"Don't call me your father, little girl, am I your dad?" He asked.

"N… no" she replied.

"Good, now go pack all the broken bottles," he said. Quinn looked at her father in shock. There were bottles everywhere. How can she pick them up? They will injure her.

"But fat…" he cut her off with a slap. Quinn fell, holding her cheeks.

"What did I just say! I said I am not your fucking father! You are already turning into a bitch like your fucking mother. I will fucking teach you a lesson, so next time you listen," he said, going for his belt. Quinn, scared of being beaten, stood up and quickly ran up the stairs. Her father chased after her.

"Come back here you little bitch!" He yelled. Quinn was already on the last step when he caught her by the hair. He dragged her with her hair and held it very tight. Quinn screamed trying to remove her hair from his hard grip.

"Fa.. father ple.….." He cut her off.

"I am not your fucking father!" He yelled. He raised his belt and started beating her with it. She screamed, begging, but he didn't stop. He left her hair, letting go of her, but Quinn lost her footing and down she went on the hard wooden stairs.

I fully recommend this book to anyone. Worth every penny I spend on it and little warning tho sometimes characters name change but it’s only at the ending!!!!! Good one author

This is such a good book! So lighthearted, sweet and fun to read. A little errors on some grammars but nevertheless it doesnt take out the excitement you’ll feel while reading the book. I especially enjoyed the playfulness of the main leads, not too much drama. Thank you author! Really appreciate it

Years Later Quinn PovThe sound of my alarm woke me up from my sleep. I opened my eyes and yawned. I stood up from my bed stretching my sore back, I scratched my neck going to the bathroom to have my bath. I already prepared what I am going to wear to my bakery the night before so I just did my normal morning routine that consists of just brushing my teeth, bathing and dressing up.
