Chapter 2: No Right to Die

Nathaniel  particularly despised the current Olivia, especially her nonchalant attitude of recent. His inner rage was burning fiercely, his gaze icy as he glared at her, "My injury hasn't healed yet, and you already feel unable to bear this pain anymore. If you didn't have that kidney half a year ago, do you think I would marry you?"

"I didn't know that kidney was hers. If I knew, even if I were to die, I would not want it!" Those painful words revealed a heartbreaking past. Two years ago, she needed a kidney transplant due to an injury, and the woman he loved died in a car accident. The Blake family unhesitatingly used all their connections to acquire her kidney for Olivia, marking the start of two families' collective nightmare.

"You left her not entirely intact, do you think I would let you live easily? Every day my injury doesn't heal is a day you won't have peace, I won't let you have one!" Pointing at his own chest, spoke, sorrow in his eyes like blood had bathed through them, a sight terrifyingly suffocating.

Seeing Nathaniel in this state, Olivia knew there was no way he would let her go that easily, "You can always hurt me, just please don't hurt my family. All they wanted was to see me live".

"Is that so? They wanted you to live, so I too wanted Seth to live, at least not in such a tragic state!" He was still bearing the grudge that Seth's family sold her kidney to Blake family without his knowledge.

"Then, if I die, would you let my family go?" She has long wanted to say these words. Now, nearly all assets of the Blake family were under Nathaniel's control. A mere squeezing of his palm and the Blake family would go bankrupt, all because of her.

"Wanting to die? Ha!" Nathaniel coldly laughed, "Unless I kill you myself, if you die, the Blake family would join you in the grave!" After saying these words, he slammed the door in departure. That loud smashing sound instantly jerked Olivia out from her shock. It turned out he would not even grant her the right to die on her own. To die? Only if he personally chokes her life out.

The next morning, after Nathaniel left, Olivia also swiftly left her house, not for the company as usual but for the Blake family's residence.

Upon entering, she saw all the servants of the Blake family packing their bags, ready to leave, and Richard stood on the second floor, looking helplessly at the sight.

"Where are you all going?" She halted them.

"Lady, you're back? The young master cleared our salaries and even added three months' pay. We were told never to work for the Blake family again!" said a servant who had worked for the Blake family for many years.

"What?" Olivia couldn't believe it, "Why would he do this?"

"Olivia!" Sophie walked briskly out from the living room, holding Olivia tightly as she arrived, "What does Nathaniel want after all? It was okay when he suppressed our businesses, what exactly did he want, your father said it would all be yours anyway. But now, he's dismissing our servants and wanting our house as well. What should we do? Your brother is still sick!"

"Mum, did you say that Nathaniel is going to take our house, I'm so sure you're aware of that? This house belongs to us, the Blake family. By what right does he do this?" Olivia trembled with anger. If it weren't for Sophie holding her right now, she might have been so unsteady that she would have violently fallen to the ground.

"Olivia!" 

Richard, her father, had battled in the business world for a lifetime, never expecting to end up in such a predicament. However, he didn't blame Olivia, his beloved daughter, because her survival was his greatest wish. The loss of money or their house didn't matter to him at all.

"It's okay!"

"Dad!" Upon seeing Richard, who seemed to have aged so much in just half a year, Olivia couldn't help but cry out. "No, I will never let Nathaniel take our house. You and mom are getting old, and my little brother’s sickness hasn't gotten better. How could I let you be displaced? I have to find Nathaniel!"

She had been pampered since childhood. Her parents loved her, doted on her, and spoiled her. But in the end, everything vanished due to her own momentary decision, turning everything into nothing more than bubbles.

As Olivia turned around, she felt dizzy, as though something was constraining her, preventing her from moving. Her chest hurt so much that it left her breathless.

She couldn't let Nathaniel press down on the Blake family any more than he already had.

Sitting in the car, she didn't even have the strength to insert the key. She hugged the steering wheel with both hands and buried her head deep down.

She suddenly felt ridiculous for so defiantly declaring her love for that man, saying she would win his heart, and that she would change his view of her. But in the end, she was the one who changed. She became weak and even lost all the hard-earned fruits of her father's life.

At this moment, her phone rang. It was Nathaniel's call, "Why haven't you arrived at the company yet? Don't you know we have an important meeting today? Get your proposal and hurry up over here!"

"No!"

"Say that again?"

"I said I won't go and I mean it I won't go, Nathaniel. What's so great about you? Besides stealing from others, what else can you do? You're ruthless, despicable, and utterly indecent. What right do you have to command me?"

She roared nearly with all her strength, her hysterical shriek akin to boiling blood, burning her heart!
