Tired of waiting, I fished out my phone to dial Mira's number, stopped right on track when I heard footsteps behind me. When I whirled around, expecting to see Mirabelle, I was totally shocked, my heart flying out of my chest, air nearly whooshing out of my body, when I came face to face with Kurt.

Silly of me to have uttered that word when I should have expected our paths to cross, it was his home after all. And I was just standing by my car on the driveway of his mansion.

"Laurel," in few strides, he was in front of me, cupping my face and kissing me slowly.

I didn't want to let him win so easily but when his body was pressed against mine, there was nothing I could do other than kiss him back with the same hunger. Kissed him like he was the only I craved for. Like I had been craving his taste all day.

We were breathless when we pulled away and I hid my face, resting it on his chest to cover the embarrassment on my cheeks.
