Four

Around noon, Jordan went to his parents' house because he needed to see his sister. He was planning on using her to try to get closer to Aubrey. He was not completely sure about his actions as he failed to understand himself; he did not know what made him so drawn to a girl he met once. He was aware that Aubrey was a huge fan of him, but he did not want to use that card. He did not want the celebrity version of him to take control; he wanted her to get to know the real Jordan, not the one she was used to seeing on the screens.

"Jessie, where are you?" he called out once he walked inside the huge house. He bought it for his family once he made it big in Hollywood. His family was important to him and he wanted to give them a better life; they had always been supportive of him and he wanted to pay them back in the least way.

"Can you stop being loud?" He heard his sister whining from the living room. When he went there, he found her lying down on the couch, watching TV with a bowl of popcorn beside her.

"How are you?" he asked her as he sat down on the recliner next to the couch.

"I'm good and I feel that there's a reason behind your visit," she said, looking at him sceptically.

"You got me, sis," he said, chuckling nervously. "Anyway, do you know Aubrey Devlin?"

"Heard one of her singles, she is good," she answered him. "You did surprise her on TV, right? I saw the episode! The girl was doing her best to keep herself together," she added, laughing a little as she adjusted herself on the couch.

"Do you still want that Gucci bag?" he wondered, knowing her answer already.

"Spill, Jordy... what do you want?" she asked him. She knew her brother like the back of her hand. The fact that he did not complain when she called him Jordy was an adequate indicator that he wanted something from her.

"Okay, here is the thing, I met her four days ago, and for some reason, I find her interesting and cute. I want to get to know her, but I don't know how. I found myself telling her that you're a big fan of her and you'd love to meet her and luckily, she agreed. Can you do that for me?" he requested hopefully, giving her his famous puppy eyes.

            "Do what exactly?"

"I will get her to meet you. I want you to try to befriend her and get close to her. This will make it easier for me," he explained impatiently.

"You're exerting so much effort for her." Jessica smirked teasingly as her brother rolled his eyes at her. "I don't understand why you're doing all of this. Just ask her out and she wouldn't mind at all. You're her favourite artist for the love of God!"

"That's the thing! I don't want to approach her as Jordan Hill, her favourite artist. I just want her to see me as a normal guy, not Mr Celebrity," he reasoned.

"The Gucci bag and five pieces of the new Versace collection." Jessica decided to use the situation for her own privilege.

"Fine, Jess." He rolled his eyes.

"I better go and memorize her singles, I have to act like a big fan," she said, standing up, making her way upstairs.

"Don't freak the poor girl out!" he yelled out.

"No promises," she joked as she went upstairs.

"I'm hoping that she is not as fake as your other girlfriends." He heard his mother's voice. He looked behind him and saw her. She sat down on the black leather couch, where Jessica was sitting, after kissing her son's cheek.

"She is not even my girlfriend, mum, and you make it sound like I brought dozens of girls to you. They were only three," he said, shrugging. "Let's go to the kitchen, I want to drink some coffee." He rose up from his position and went to the kitchen with his mum.

The house was quite big. It was very elegant, mostly consisting of black, white and grey and some hints of blue here and there. The first floor contained a huge living room which overlooked the enormous backyard from the left side. The dining room was black and silver, adding a tasteful style to the area. There was another living room that was not used much, but it was Jordan's favourite spot on that floor; the furniture was made of black, white and blue. The kitchen was a mixture of dark grey and off white with a long counter the family used for eating instead of the dining room.

Jordan did not like to admit it, but he was a family guy. He enjoyed spending time with Jason, Jessica and Jaden, his siblings. They were known for hanging out together that Jordan's fans named them The J Group. They had a strong bond with one another and Jordan considered that a huge blessing in his life.

"Is she nice?" she asked him as she sat down on one of the kitchen's black chairs.

"She is. She is very nice and well mannered," he answered his mum with a small smile on his lips. He went to the coffee machine and turned it on then turned back to his mum.

"Do you like her?" she wondered.

"I don't know... I really don't know. It's weird, I don't understand it. I met her four days ago and we haven't even talked since Thursday," he replied, honestly.

"You have to set your head and know what you want to do. If you find yourself attracted to her, then bring her here. I'd like to meet her," his mum told him and he immediately shook his head.

"That won't happen anytime soon. I have only known her for less than a week. I don't want to creep her out," Jordan said, taking a sip of his coffee.

"If you want my advice, keep it slow. Don't rush into anything. Take all the time you need and give her the time to differentiate between the side of you that she already likes and the side you want her to like," his mum, Marissa, advised him. Whenever he needed advice, he turned to her, because she understood him the most. She was his rock and although he tried to deny that more than once, he was actually a mama's boy, but not in a bad way. He knew how to think independently and how to deal with problems on his own. He just went to her when everything got too much for him to handle. She knew how to relieve his stress.
