For the Sake of Aashir

"Angel see what I made? How's it?"

Sanam, who was lost in her thoughts, jolted back and turned her neck to look at him who was staring at her with his innocent face.

She finds him really adoring. It's been a week she is staying here and in this past week, her confrontation with Asfand was almost nonexistent.

Though Sanam wanted to go the very next day but Mr. Hayat becomes intense about the sudden change of her plan but she can't tell him the actual reason of leaving.

Despite her denying it, Mr. Hayat and Aashir finally made her stay here. She has to succumb to their concern and love for herself.

Secondly, she was forced for living there. She accepted the fact that Asfand moved forward in his life. And why would he stop for her? As she closed all the doors that were leading him back to her.

But somewhere in her heart, she felt a pinch in her heart and it wasn't living her in peace.

Meanwhile what she found strange was Aashir's mother's absence in the home. No one was talking about her even Aashir was avoiding talking about it.

Don't know who Aashir’s mother is. But she just wants to know this.

"Tell me, angel, how it looks?"

He again flipped his drawing in front of her.

"Well done, it's very beautiful. You know drawing way better than me."

She said in an admiring voice while looking at his drawing.

In this past one week, Aashir becomes quite attached to her.

"There are more papers in my room, you bring them, angel. I will teach you how to draw."

The way he was ordering her, he looks more like Asfand. Sanam controlled the smile appearing on her face and went towards his room.

His room was upstairs. After her leave, Aashir again engrossed himself in his work. When he felt someone presence near himself.

"Angel, you came."

He said without looking at the coming one.

"Yes, I came forever for my son."

He immediately rose his head on listening to an unfamiliar voice. But seeing the person standing in front of him, the smile on his face disappeared and he clenched his lips.

Laraib was quick to notice it.

"I am not your son. I am the son of only my dad."

He said looking at her with contempt look.

He knew his mother and he also knew how she left her.

He sowed so much hatred in the heart of Aashir for her that now he doesn't bother to look at her.

Seeing her little child's contempt and his cold attitude toward herself a wave of anger ran down in Laraib.

"You have listened that your son doesn't consider you his mother. Then with which right you are making claim for custody?"

She, who was standing and fuming in rage, jolted and turned back towards him after listening to Asfand's voice from behind.

Asfand was already aware of her arrival because Wadan informed him about her. That's why he wasn't astonished after seeing Laraib here.

"The fact will not change because of your or Aashir's denial. I will be the mother of Aashir. And neither does a court can separate a mother from her child."

A sarcastic smile was apparent on her lips and Asfand didn't like it a bit.

She was the same as five years ago. Still, nothing changed in her.

"You will see I will take Aashir in my custody I will take Aashir far away from you that you will be yearning to see his face."

She forward her hand to caress him on his cheek but he backed away and hide behind his father.

She was his mother who was seeing him after five years. But her behavior and her tone don't reflect her motherly love for her child.

If something was important for her then it was the downfall of Asfand.

"And I will not let this time come Laraib Ali Shah. You will be empty-handed. It's my promise to you."

Stressing on every single word he declared it to her. He picked up Aashir standing behind him in his arms.

"We will see who is going to win, either your love or your stubbornness."

She said backing her hair in a style and then covering her eyes wearing the goggles.

"We will soon meet in the court."

She glanced for once at Aashir in his lap and dashed out of there. He kept standing there listening to the tik tok of her heels till it disappeared.

Sanam was also there silently eavesdropping on their conversation. And she went out with the same silence without letting herself come to the notice of anyone.

She was totally astonished that Laraib is Aashir's mother. She was more astonished after coming to know about the divorce of Asfand and Laraib.

Laraib Ali Shah who was crazy for Asfand and Sanam was well aware of her craziness. It's because of Laraib that craziness that today Sanam was in this state.

And she can't forgive Laraib for what she did with her.

*********

"I don't want to listen to anything, Saaem. You just quickly find out the solution for that problem."

He again burst at his lawyer sitting in front of him. Two days earlier, when he came to his office to present the solution to this issue, Asfand just lost his cool after listening to it.

"Sir, if you want to win this case then you will have to marry. Otherwise, the court will take the decision in favor of Laraib Ali Shah. Because she is the mother and Aashir is a child now."

Saaem again tried to make him agree and glanced at Mr. Hayat who was seated beside him. They both were trying to make him understand for the last two days but he wasn't listening to them.

"If you marry a girl then there will be a mother with Aashir and then we can prove that being a single mother Laraib was unable to bring up her child properly."

He was explaining each and every point to convince him. But Asfand doesn't want to tie the knot with any other girl now. In his life, there was no place for anyone.

"Your lawyer is exactly right, Asfand. To win this case, you have to do something."

This time Mr. Hayat, who was silently listening to everything, express his consensus with his lawyer.

"But dad, you know everything. Then how can I...."

In anger, he stood up from his seat. He wasn't getting what he do. After knowing Laraib's intentions, now he became more alert toward her.

"Mr. Saaem I want to talk with my son in person. We will inform you on call what decision we have taken."

Mr. Hayat this time straightly addressed Saaem. After listening to him, he took permission and went out of his study room.

"Asfand I know this will be hard for you. As it's all because of your marriage you are in this trouble but for once think about your son."

He said looking at his back. He himself was feeling very sorry about the state of his son. And he was unable to do anything for him.

"I am ready to do anything for Aashir, dad. But it's all isn't that easy that I go to the market bring a girl and sign a marriage agreement with her."

He was a bit convinced now. He can sacrifice his life for the sake of Aashir. While marriage was just a minor thing to do.

"There's a girl I know. But if you and she agree then everything will be easier."

Mr. Hayat's face glowed with happiness seeing him becoming agree. While Asfand quickly turned towards him after listening to what he just told him.

"I'm not getting it. Which girl are you talking about?"

Asfand gazed at him unknowingly.

"It's Sanam. Haven't you noticed in this one week how much she got closer to Aashir? And Aashir is also happy with her. If you allow then can I talk with her?"

From the first day, he finds Saman a good girl. He becomes very happy seeing the way Aashir was living with her and cheering in her company.

He already planned this all but Asfand frowned on his forehead and becomes deeper after listening to this from his father.

"Don't need it, dad. I'm ready to marry with any girl but not her."

With a stern expression, he said looking at him.

But it seems his heart was revolting against him.

"Why son, what's wrong with her? And by the way, she is also in very trouble, she needs support. This way you both can help each other. And then love will also develop once you both get married."

He was trying to make him convince through his justifications. He was unaware of the fact that his explanations were intensifying his anger.

He doesn't know and neither does he try to know what the problem with Sanam is or what the cause of her residing in his home was.

He was bearing her in his home just because of his father.

"The word of love has vanished from my life dad. And please at any cost I can't marry with that girl."

On his cold tone, Mr. Hayat just snapped at him silently.

"Asfand thinks about it this girl's arrival meanwhile you are in a problem isn't some coincidence. God sent her for your help. Think of it by putting aside your stubbornness may it not happen that because of your stubbornness Aashir go away from you."

After done with his saying, Mr. Hayat left him leaving him lost in thoughts.

After his leave, Asfand sat on the chair more like a falling. If his Aashir goes away from him then he will not live without him.

So he has to do something and that too early before it becomes late. And it takes a moment for him to decide and he took this decision only for Aashir.
