Chapter 5 Who Knew Female Employees could be such B*tches

As the elevator went up, Sophia withdrew her face from Lucas's coat slowly. As the elevator stopped at the penthouse. Two secretaries waited at the door of the penthouse.

A young girl with Blonde hair and blue eyes with a mature look smiled at Lucas, and then another girl with short black hair and brown eyes smiled at him. She had a simple but innocent look, but she looked quite older.

"Sophia, this is Kiara." He motioned for the blonde girl to come forward. "This girl with the black hair..." he turned towards the black hair girl who also approached them. "Is Riley...They are both of my many secretaries."

"Riley handles HR affairs and Kiara handles disciplining employees." Lucas smiled as he petted Sophia's head. "They are also a married couple."

Sophia looked at both Riley and Kiara of how they interacted with a smile.

"Anywho, my dear, I have a meeting; I'll allow you to sleep in my office for a while." Lucas guided Sophia into the office as the two secretaries watched with mischievous smiles.

"Aww, Lucas loves Sophia so much!" Squealed Kiara as she organized the paper on her desk.

"I can't believe he found an actual woman, not a golddigger." Riley sat on Kiara's desk and stared at her with a huge smile. "I hope the woman in the company doesn't give Sophia a hard time."

***In the office***

Sophia slept on the recliner for many minutes, then an hour. As Sophia woke up, she felt the pain of the headache from crying she had earlier subsided, but the fact is that Jasmine was pregnant before marrying Alexander. Sophia questioned who she loved before this relationship.

Sophia sighed as she sat up and noticed Lucas was gone. This caused her to react fast and check his desk for a note or some sort of text message on her phone. She quickly scrambled out of the office to find Kiara stretching from paperwork.

"Oh, you're awake Sophia. Lucas told me to wait for you, he had an emergency meeting. You must be hungry...Let's go down to the canteen. He left his black card for you to use." Kiara looked at Sophia with a sympathetic smile as she grabbed her purse and phone heading towards the elevator.

"Today is seafood, Saturday."

"Is there Lobster?"

"Yeah."

Kiara and Sophia stood in the elevator and started walking in the lobby, talking to each other. A group of female employees chatted, and among the employees was a supervisor named Eve Hilton. Eve's eyes were a golden brown color, and her hair was a platinum blonde. She wore pounds of makeup and was dressed scantily. The girls chatted with each other and started gossiping with Eve.

"Eve, have you heard of that new girl?" Asked a female employee.

"No, what?" stated Eve as she stood around surrounded by her junior peers she looked up from her phone to look in Sophia's direction.

"She was privately brought in by the president and a man that could be her lover, maybe...made a scene...Golddiggers will always be golddiggers." The same employee stated with a disgusted look as she glanced in Sophia's direction. "Probably slept with the president to get her position."

"Interesting, maybe we should teach her a lesson, girls...!" Eve shut off her phone and smirked inwardly as she followed in the direction of the canteen.

***In the Canteen***

"Oh wow, Lobster bisque, crab cakes, and sushi!" Sophia squealed as she drooled upon the glass. Kiara laughed awkwardly at the young girl.

"Pick and choose we have all the time in the world...He made sure they prepared your favorites just for you...Lucas really loves you...Don't forget Lucas's coffee. He needs it first thing. We have to come to him with his lunch as well." stated Kiara as she picked up her tray and picked out her food. Sophia loaded her plate and went up to the cashier to pay.

"Oh, I forgot my money. Oh, Lucas's black card!" stated Sophia as she pulled out the card from the back of her phone case only to have it snatched out of her hand.

"Stealing property of our president, little princess!" Eve's voice oozed with poison jabbing every word. Eve smirked then examined the card. "How can a poor girl like you own a card like this! State your name and department!"

As Sophia was about to speak, Kiara stepped in and slammed her hand on the cashier table separating Sophia and Eve.

"Eve, don't think because your daddy Henry Hilton owns shares here means you can boss around anyone here!" Kiara glared at Eve, who just looked smug.

"Kiara, I'm just teaching the rookie employee a lesson. You in HR should know that, and you use his card to get him lunch; why is she doing it and getting herself lunch on the card as well, then? You should investigate her for stealing the president's card. I'll keep it and bring it to the president, or I'll tell him myself!" stated Eve as she crossed her arms in superiority. Sophia didn't want to look weak. She needed a plan to get the card back. She didn't want to look irresponsible for the card being lost.

"If you're defending this lost case of an employee I suggest you leave before the Hilton's make your life even more of a hell, Kiara! Sweet Sister! You have lost your arrogance since the inheritance became mine. Cat got your tongue, huh. Because you married a commoner."

Kiara backed away in fear as she looked at Sophia unsure of her next step. Sophia noticed Kiara's trembling, stood toe to toe with Eve, and swiftly poured a bowl of the lobster bisque that cooled earlier on top of Eve's head. Causing everyone to stare in 'awe' including Kiara.

"WHAT THE HELL! YOU BI-" As Eve prepared to slap Sophia, she felt her hand had been pulled back by security and restrained to her back. Lucas appeared into the canteen, angered and annoyed, with a panicky Riley following along.

"Eve! What do you think you're doing slapping my fiancée!"

The whole canteen went quiet as a split second passed. Whispers already filled the room of "His Fiancee?" or "Is that the rumored Sophia Alder, the now richest woman in the world?".

Eve froze in place as she felt her heart beat faster as she heard this news. She shook her hair out her face to slowly look up at the smirks of superiority on almost every employee's face behind Lucas. She knew...she fucked up.

"Sir, Mr.Carter, I didn't know she was your fiancée I thought she was an employee! I thought she was using your black card to make a purchase instead of her own money for food!" Eve quickly word vomited as she looked up at Lucas his cold eyes stared daggers at her.

"My money is Sophia's money as well! Did you not see the email I sent out today with Sophia's picture and the new company protocols regarding my fiancée?" Lucas crossed his arms and walked towards Sophia, pulling her towards him.

"Eve Hilton is no longer allowed to work for Carter Corp! The Hilton family can only have one member of their family working here! Kiara Hilton is allowed to be the only Hilton in this company!" Lucas's voice echoed through the canteen as employees slowly chewed and ate their food. "Security kick this whore out and ban her!"

Eve's pleads can be heard echoing the halls of the company as she is being dragged out.

"Sophia, let's eat and leave maybe a bit of dress shopping can boost our moods." Lucas smiled and then kissed Sophia's forehead. Guiding her to a private seating area and gesturing for her to eat as the food was being served.
