The next few minutes I had spent crawling in the tunnel turned out to be one of the most awful and gross moments of my life. I barely held my breath as the air was toxic, densed and very smelly.

I made it out wheezing and coughing uncontrollably. My eyes darted around the darkness I had fallen into. The place felt like a giant open space, enveloped by thick darkness. I sniffed into the air, and my nose caught the smell of something like dust mixed with a strange odor.

Recalling the content of Thalia’s letter, I figured out it was the dark room she mentioned in her letter. Her silly story about the gladiator rat who crawled into a tunnel and fell inside a dark room. The rat stuck to the walls and followed its direction to avoid falling into a trap.
