CHAPTER 36

When we rang the doorbell at Simon's, Jackson answered. He was wearing jeans that looked painfully tight, a big belt, a flannel shirt open at the chest, a bandana around his neck, and a black cowboy hat. A stubble of beard shadowed his jaw. It took every bit of self control I had not to screw him right there. He looked more amazing than I had ever seen him look. He made one hell of a cowboy.

"Hey Sophie. Who is your friend?" he asked, standing back from the door to let us in.

We went inside. "This is Wyette. He's been here a couple of weeks."

Jackson smiled his perfect smile and extended his hand. Wyette stared at it.

"Shake." I told him.

He obeyed, looking into Jackson's green eyes. "Ah… n-nice to meet you."
