"A whole year" Yao said as they reached the halls. He leaned back against the as he took the whole situation in.

"I'm sorry, I feel like I failed you, Gem" She said shakily as leaned against him and wrapped her arms loosely around his waist .

"They already had a decision made." He put his hand on the back of her neck. "You were perfect. You always are when I fuck up. It's just a year and in seclusion no less. I'll just focus on my cultivation while I'm away. I'll be back before you know it." He kissed the top of her head.

"I like the sound of that." he kissed her deeply. She always knew how to cheer him up. Nina pulled away then took out her phone. "Lu, go home you'll be on call for the next two days. Spend it well with Maria cause the next year will be hell. Talk to Yang and figure out a schedule, I'm going to need one of you two with me at all times once you come back"

"Alright, you leaving with Yao then?" he asked and looked at his watch. He could probably take Gabriel out of school early and have lunch.

"Yeah, see you in two days" she hung up the phone and took Yao's hand.

Nina followed Yao into his home. Everything was black and gold. Elegant and extravagant. After she closed the door behind her, Yao took her hand and pulled her close. "Let's get you out of this" He said as he buried his face into her neck, taking in her scent. He wanted to remember every part of her before he had to go into solitude.

He reached up behind her and started to unzip her dress. Once it was loose the fabric fell with a heavy 'thud' revealing her bare body "What were you planning to do with this much gold?" he asked with a slight chuckle.

"I was going to make sure you were properly armed if they gave you the death penalty" she reached up and rested her hand on the back of his head. "I would have fought tooth and nail to get you out of there." she replied as his hands explored her body. Tracing the scars scattered from a lifetime of fighting everything that came her way.

"We probably would have died" he chuckled

"I was banking on my lack of clothes to surprise them after you grabbed the gold" she teased

His hands reached down to her thighs and he picked her up. "Would have worked for me." he kissed her as he carried her to his couch. The bed was too far away and he wanted her now. He tossed her down unceremoniously and started to take his shirt off.

Nina watched him strip, the wait made her that much more eager. He pulled his belt off and smirked down at her. He put it on the coffee table next to them before he finished taking off his pants. "Come here." he sat on the couch and pulled her on top of him.
