Ralph was secretly fuming, wanting to punch Elliott after being verbally attacked, but he didn't have the guts. What was so wrong about being a single man? He didn't ask to be one.

He chuckled nervously and dared not say another word. Since Elliott got married, he had been showing Seraphine off every day. This version of him wasn't something Ralph had ever seen before.

Elliott's happiness became contagious at this point. Seeing him happy made him feel content, too.
