*EMMA*

"Emma, please say yes to marrying me, we want this, our parents want this please so I see why not" Jake begged, trapping my face between his hands while slightly brushing his lips against mine. I do love him more than anything but I couldn't help but hesitate, I felt pressured.

Jake would never hurt me, I mean he's a great guy and he wants me as much as I wanted him. This would be the second time he was proposing to me. The first time, I had a pretty solid excuse but this time around I couldn't think of any reason why I shouldn't marry him yet something in me was hesitating. I took a deep breath before stepping away from him, pain flashing across his eyes as he stared at me.

"I love you Jake, you know I do but I feel like we are rushing things. What's the hurry? We are both still young and...." I trailed off, looking at him curiously for some explanation.

"I'm tired of waiting Emma, I want you to be mine in every way there is. You said you love me, is that true?" He asked, making me wonder what he was getting at.

"I can't believe you are doubting me" I frowned slightly, resisting the urge to roll my eyes at him. I brushed my long hair away from my face, a reminder that I needed a haircut. While I love my hair long, silky, smooth and straight, Jake doesn't.

"Prove it then" He urged, reaching for my hand and then placing it on his chest where his heart was beating strongly. I briefly closed my eyes, pushing back the hesitation. Why was I so afraid to say yes? Why do I feel like I'm betraying someone? I looked up at him and he was staring back at me with a hopeful look on his face as he waited for me to give him an answer.

"Yes," I finally said after a huge pause.

Uncaring about where we were or who was watching, he scooped me up and then spun me around. I put my arms around his neck, smiling at his reaction. Suddenly, everything felt off. Goosebumps spread across my body and I tensed, nervously looking around. Everyone at the park was minding their business and having fun but yet, I felt like I was being watched.

Jake must have noticed the change of mood because he stopped spinning me around and set me down on my feet. I forced a smile, assuring him that I was fine. I have nothing to worry about! I thought to myself.

"I can't wait to be yours Jacob Xavier" I said moving closer for a kiss.

* A WEEK LATER*

One could say my marriage was a gunshot because a week later, Jake and I are set to marry. I wondered why we were in such a hurry to get married but recalling his words when he proposed to me a week ago, I couldn't help but smile. Today is my big day and I plan to enjoy it.

"You look every inch of a bride" My cousin Katie grinned, she also happens to be my best friend and my maid of honour.

I blushed. "How could I not? I have been waiting for this day forever" I replied, adjusting my veil.

"You are one lucky girl, I'm so happy for you" She giggles, giving me a quick hug. A trumpet sound filled the air indicating it was time for me to leave for the church. My parents stepped into the room looking like the iconic couple they were and as every rich parent should look. They each hugged me and then ushered me out of the house to the waiting car.

The drive to the church was a short one, after I was helped out of the car, I was suddenly nervous, Katie noticed it and grinned at me. "It happens," She said.

"How do you know? You've never been married" I rolled my eyes at her playfully.

"I just know stuff" She shrugged her shoulders then stepped aside as my Dad reached forward to take my arm. I smiled up at him and he grinned back.

"I'm proud of you" He whispered with a proud fatherly smile.

I briefly put my head on his shoulder as the door of the church opened and we began the short trip down the aisle. Jake looked so handsome standing beside the priest waiting for me, when I got to his side, my Dad placed my hand in his, then said something, I wasn't paying attention because my attention was on the tall masculine guy who just walked in, he looked so out of place and Jake was frowning at him in confusion.

Three more guys walk into the church, everyone started whispering wondering who the guest are, I couldn't tear myself away from the first guy as he approached me, I was nervous and scared to death which was stupid cause I have never met him in my life, his eyes were dark with a hint blue, I have never seen eyes like that in my life. and they were staring at me, calling me in.

I gasped, taking a step back as he extended his hand for me to take.

"Who the fuck are you dude!" Jake yelled.

"I'm Jet" There was something about the way he introduced himself that made me shiver, maybe it was because of the dark authoritative voice he used.

"Then what the fuck is your business here? If you are here for the wedding then stay in the fucking crowd" Jake barked at him, looking dangerous at that moment.

They both glared at each other for what seemed like forever until I cleared my throat, breaking the tension. "What...Is...Going...On?" I stammered on the verge of tears.

His gaze softened when he looked at me. "Mine," He said in a dazed voice.

I froze. I wanted to run but my body couldn't move, it was as if my body was glued to the spot. Who was this guy? And what does he want with me? He approached me but Jake stopped him by stepping in front of me. Obviously not impressed with this action, the mysterious man punched Jake so hard, it sent him flying across the room.

"No one stands between me and what's mine!" He snarled at him.

Everyone from the crowd screamed and made a run for the door. My parents were shocked, I could see the fear on their faces, and they took a step away from me.

I look around watching as people scatter about the place looking for the nearest entrance, Jake's men run in but we're held back by the Jet's men. By now, even the priest was nowhere to be seen. I glared at the stranger.  "Who are you and what do you want!" I demanded again, raising my voice this time.

"You" He replied as his beautiful lips curve into a smirk.

Why the hell was I even staring at his lips? This guy fucking ruined my wedding. "Me? Why?" I asked angrily.

"You belong to me" Then he turned to his friend, okay I don't know if they are but I honestly do not care. "Let us go" He turned around to leave.

I stared at him, totally bewildered. Is this some kind of sick joke someone thought would be funny? I didn't have much time to process what was going on when I was suddenly lifted and flung over a strong shoulder.

I let out a fearful scream as I was being carried out. "Help!" My struggles were fruitless, the man carrying me was far too strong and didn't even seem affected by my struggles. With my heart beating loudly with fear, I took one last look at my fiance who was struggling to get up, only to collapse back  on the ground.

Who are these men and where are they taking me to?

  • Kidnapped By The Alpha    Chapter 190– For Now

FREYA I stretched out on the bed the following morning when I woke up, moaning with satisfaction when my bones cracked into place. I rolled on my side, finding the spot empty. After Hunter had communicated with us last night, the atmosphere around the house had gotten better but I was still worried about Jet. Grabbing the bedside robe, I climbed out of bed to check the bathroom but it was empty, causing me to frown a little. Approaching my dressing mirror, I tamed out my brush from the drawers and started to brush my hair. I love brushing my hair, it’s a habit that calms me down whenever I’m done. As a knock sounded on the door, I dropped the brush and smiled. “Come in Hazel.” I called out and a second or so later, she appeared in the room. “Morning milady, did you sleep well?” She inquired, walking over to my closet. “I heard Lady Camille said you will be attending the woman council meeting later in the day, so you need me to get anything ready for you?” “Not really but I’ll nee

FREYA “Stop!” Claire yelled, her voice breaking as Hayley stalked towards me. “Leave them alone, I will come with you.” She declared, her eyes looking unseemly at a particular spot, I followed the direction of her gaze and soon realised why, Hayley had stabbed Hunter with a silver knife, causing him to bleed out. If care is not taken, he will no doubt bleed to death. Pushing all distractions out of my head, I turned inward, searching through the corner of my mind from Jet. I could feel him, which tells me he’s alive but I couldn’t hear him. “Jet?” I whispered into his conscience. “If you can hear me, do not let Sophie breathe no matter what, if she cannot breathe then she cannot think, which means she cannot cast a spell. Someone else is here waiting for a signal from her, I’ll distract her until Sophie stops fighting so you can come back here and help.” I finished, refocusing my attention back to Claire. As much as I wanted to assure Claire, I couldn’t take the risk of Hayley find

  • Kidnapped By The Alpha    Chapter 188- Doom At Your Steps

FREYA Everyone including the servants came outside to see what was happening, the more I stared at it, the more I shivered from the darkness radiating from it or it may be because I knew who was behind it—Sophie and she’s closer than we think. Hurrying back to the castle, regretting the fact that I had to wake Jet up when he clearly needed to sleep. “Everyone inside at once! It’s safe indoors.” I shouted as they made way for me to pass, whatever that dark cloud was doing up there, can’t be anything good. I arrived at our bedroom a short while later, walking up to Jet and gently shook him awake. “Fae?” He looked at me with confusion, probably wondering why I had woken him. “Have I been asleep for a long time?” “No and I regret waking up but there’s something you need to see.” I gestured towards the window and without any further question, he looked outside the window, a cold, angry expression settling over his face immediately. “I’m going to check this out with Hunter, ensure that

  • Kidnapped By The Alpha    Chapter 187- Burning Bridges

FREYA Several minutes after everyone departed from our bedroom, Jet still held me in his arms, as if to truly convince himself I was truly fine which I totally get. These past few weeks have been filled with anxiety and what if’s, not knowing if I would make it as a vampire or at all. With my face buried in his chest, I soaked up the feeling of being close to me. Every emotion I felt, felt heightened. I felt more connected to Jet than I’ve ever been, while before I could sense his emotions but not feel them the way I do now. The rhythm of his heartbeat matched mine, beating together as one. I could feel his emotions, overwhelmed by his love for me. We sat there in silence, with him just holding me until I moved slightly back to look up at him. Sensing my eyes on him, he looked down at me, his lips curving into a small smile. “One day, you will be able to shift, for now your human side is preventing you probably because its not used to this new feeling. Make no mistake, you do have

  • Kidnapped By The Alpha    Chapter 186- Rain

FREYA I knew they were all worried about me that night when the living room was filled up, somehow everyone had an excuse to be there. Jet wanted to spend time with me, which isn’t exactly out of character. Hunter wanted to discuss business with him, which they usually do in Jet’s office. Kale wanted to have wine, I actually forgot about his own excuse cause I wasn’t paying attention. I was distracted when Camille strolled in, claiming she wanted to talk about the refugees with Claire and Hazel havors around, pretending to be serving snacks which she has finished serving several minutes ago and is just sticking around like everyone else. Trisha sought my eyes from across the room, a knowing smile on her face. “Well, the moon has been up for about an hour now and nothing has happened yet. I know you’re all worried about Freya, but I think she’s going to be fine.” She informed them. “We know that, it is nice being together like this, we do not spend much time together anymore becaus

  • Kidnapped By The Alpha    Chapter 185– Common ground

FREYA “How?” I asked, my voice filled with surprise as he untied the ribbon around the small box, revealing a large emerald gemstone with white band around it. Somehow, it clicked in my head, making my lips spread in a smile. “This was part of your trip?” “I was watching human mating ceremonies, especially from the place you come from. Generally, there are a lot of different human mating ceremonies, how do you people know which one to stick to?” He inquired, removing the ring from its box and then comparing it side by side with my eyes. “I thought as much, I knew it would make them sparkle.” He remarked, more to himself than me. “Hold on, you’ve been thinking about this for a while now?” I laughed a little, I didn’t even think to go there, I mean seeing that there’s nothing marking the mating ceremony here, thoughts of a wedding never crossed my mind even though I’ve wanted the ceremony more than I wanted to be married. “I think about a lot of things…” his voice turned dangerously
