Ember's POV:

After training, I returned to my room, took a quick shower, and dashed down the stairs to arrive on time to have dinner with family.

When I reached the dining hall, everyone was already seated there and waiting for me.

"Sorry, I got late," I excused while handing Milo to the maid.

"It's okay, we've just arrived," Luna said sweetly.

As I sat down, Darius groaned dramatically, "Couldn't you hear my poor, empty stomach grumbling all the way through your room?"

I rolled my eyes, "Oh, please, I literally saw you indulging in chocolate cake just an hour ago."

He popped out his bottom lip, "That was just a teeny tiny piece."

Ethan huffed from beside him, "You ate half of the damn cake, Darius."

As they started their bickering session, Nicholus whispered beside me, "How was the training today?"

I saw Luna gestured at the maids to start serving the dinner before turning my attention back to Nicholus, "It was good. Usual stuff."

He nodded and started staring at his plate
