Chapter 23: The Past

I felt dizzy, and everything around me felt like a vivid dream. My fingers rubbed my eyes trying to make my vision better, I must've fallen asleep on the floor but it must still be dark outside because my room only had light from the moon. I lifted myself off the floor with my elbows, my vision was still blurry. When I looked to my right I spotted a man dressed in a black hoodie and black pants, he was staring at me with a concerned glare in his eyes.

My breathing deepened as I crawled back afraid he might try to kill me, the man reached his hand out to calm me down.

"I'm not here to hurt you." His voice had a hint of a Russian accent to it and sounded familiar but I am too afraid to try and recognize it.

That's what most killers say right before actually committing the crime, his bright green eyes focused on mine.

"Who are you?" I whispered, my voice appearing shaky.
