Chapter 5

Victor's POV

I started walking towards my office. My office is on the 40th floor, the top floor of the building. I want to finish some work before going back. I entered the office with Ethan following in pursuit. I sat on my office chair while Ethan lied down on the couch with one leg over the other and one hand under his head and started whistling.

By looking at him now no one can say that this guy here had just a few minutes ago shot down someone. He stopped whistling and gave me a sly smirk and sat down properly on the couch .

I raised an eyebrow while looking at him.

"Bro.....let me ask you a question." He said.

I stayed silent giving him permission to continue .

"Are you........ummm I ....uh.... You......" He was hesitating.

I looked at him with confusion.

"Say it. What is it ? "

"Dude you know you are getting older, right ?.... So ......ummm....Aunt is worried about you. So she wanted..... uh.... you know ......... you never had a girlfriend and .....uh refused to date one. So ummm...... she wanted me to ask you........."

"Get straight to the point."

He cleared his throat, took a deep breath and said

"auntwantedmetoaskifyouareinterestedinboysifyouaregay"

He said everything in one go. 

"Speak slowly"

"Uhhh......damn it" He cursed under his breath.

"Brother, Are you .....Gay ?.......... Finally" He released a sigh.

I glared at him. He continued getting some strength when he saw me sitting in my seat and not doing anything that could threaten his life.

"Dude you can tell me. I won't tell anyone. Even ......Aunt Maria and Uncle David won't care either, if your partner is a man or a woman. Time has changed. Nowadays it is normal .........So tell us if you are into men. We will understand ....Don't worry. We will support your sexuality. " 

He snickered.

I glared at him, warning him if he had the guts to continue .

Putting both his hands up in a surrender position he still kept talking.

"Bro don't blame me, Uncle and Aunt are the one who urged me to ask you this ......... You can't blame them either. You will soon be 29 and you never ever had a girlfriend till now. Forget having a girlfriend, you might still be a virgin . Even......even Lucas isn't a virgin anymore."

"I am not gay. You can be rest assured." I replied and started doing my work.

"Did you have a past? Like your first love fell for someone else and you can't forget about her after all these years. Or….or….you have a secret crush on someone…..or have you have someone problem in getting it u-"

I threw a file at him which he caught with ease.

"Bro how can yo-"

At that moment Alex knocked on the door and came inside and started reporting about the progress related to the supplies matter. I nodded.

"Keep a check on the quality of all the alcohols. Don't miss even a single bottle."

"Yes Sir"

After finishing my work I left for home. I have bought a house in the outskirts of the city. Beside my house a building for training of gang members has been built.

Other than my house and that building there isn't anything other than fields and jungle for miles. I am thinking of building a horse stable.

I have  bought most of the land nearby.

I entered through the front door and saw Lucas sitting in the living room doing some work on his laptop.

Ethan went directly to the kitchen to get something to eat.

I signaled Lucas to talk in the study room.

My bedroom is just in front of my office. While walking upstairs I removed my coat and held it on my shoulder. Suddenly I remembered the gay talk by Ethan I got this evening.

While walking I asked Lucas,

"When did you find yourself a girlfriend ? "

The sudden question caught him off guard and he started coughing.

"It's been three months already."

Before I could ask him something he himself said,

"She is Amber's classmate and a nice girl."

I pondered for a moment.

"Does Amber know ? "

He shook his head in denial.

"How are you going to tell her?  What if she had some enmity with your girl ?"

"I will tell her soon."

I nodded.

"Good luck"

Although Amber is a good natured, well mannered girl, when she wants to, she is really hard to deal with.

Most of the time she is easygoing but when she holds enmity with someone, she would take that enmity for a lifetime.

Both Lucas and I entered the study room. I sat on the chair behind the table and he sat on a chair facing me.

"William confessed...... He said that the Scorpions are planning to use foreign girls in some of our bars and clubs to lower down your prestige in the business world. The girls are said to be trafficked, thus it would look like a case of human trafficking. Even the upper ones in the government wouldn't be able to help us if he released the news in the media ."

I clenched my hands in fist after hearing about human trafficking. 

"Also he changed our alcohol supplies to duplicate ones which are poisonous. For the time being this is their plan to deal with you." Lucas added .

"I have told Alex about it, and warned him to be careful. It is under control now. What about the girls sent by Scorpions ? "

"We have captured all the girls already. My men are bringing them here. They will arrive by noon."

Lucas answered my question.

"Hmm.....Ok"

"How do you want to deal with them ? "He asked

"Were they really kidnapped by Scorpions ? "

"No...they were trained to spy for them," He replied.

"Kill them all." 

It would also serve Scorpions as a warning.

After getting my orders Lucas left with Ethan for their home.

When Amber is home, they would make sure to return home everyday.

I went to my room and laid down on bed to sleep. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. I suffer from acute insomnia. The family doctor has prescribed some medicines but I don't like taking them. I played some soothing music on my cell phone, maybe that will help me to sleep .

I stayed awake till 3:00 in the morning. The music didn't provide any help . After 3:00 am I don't know when I fell asleep.

I woke up at 7:30 in the morning . After washing up I went down to the kitchen for breakfast.

In the kitchen Aunt Lucy served breakfast smiling at me. She has made some pancakes with honey on top and fruit salad.

"Good morning Young Master"

"Good morning Aunt Lucy . Did you enjoy your leave?"

Aunt Lucy has been serving us since my parents' marriage. She took a week off to attend her niece's wedding in her hometown.

Aunt Lucy also stays here. Only after I allowed Aunt Lucy to stay here with me did my mother eased down a little.

She was against my living here away from her.

"Yes Young Master " She smiled again.

I have told Aunt Lucy many times to call me by name but she won't stop calling me young master. She says it has become a habit.

I was still in the middle of finishing my pancake when I heard Lucas and Ethan coming. Ethan is trying to irritate Lucas while Lucas is showing a straight face. But I can tell he is trying really hard not to hit Ethan .

I shook my head and sighed and continued finishing my food.

Ethan and Lucas still live with Uncle Stephan and Aunt Rose. Amber is a freebie. She sometimes stays with my parents, sometimes she stays with her parents and most of the time she stays in her college dormitory.
