◼Nikolas POV◼
Hearing that Rose was awake, I headed to the dining room. But didn’t expect her to act scared. Instead, something was on Rose's mind. I don’t know what bothered her, but knowing she didn’t completely push me away calms me.
Once my work finished. I headed back to my bedroom. I was eager to see Rose again. Opening the door, I enter quietly. Rose said earlier she was tired, but I froze when I saw what was on my floor.
Rose sat on the couch watching tv, like nothing in the world bothered her.
“What happened here?” I asked, baffled.
“Oh, you’re back?” Rose said as she pops a cookie into her mouth.
Frowning, I look at her and the
◼Nikolas POV◼ It was the second day, and I have barely seen Rose. After our small talk two days ago, I haven’t crossed a word with her. However, I would still notice her staring at me from afar. I wished to approach her but was afraid of making her get pissed. What Rose asked for made me think a lot. I couldn’t stop being king. I was the leader; I had a kingdom that depended on me. I knew many of the clan’s favor for Rose in becoming the new queen, but I wasn’t planning on giving up easily. Distracting myself at work, I see it's lunchtime. The guard informed me Rose was in the garden, asleep. I don’t know why she had come, but she had barely done anything. I didn’t dare ask her; she was my mate and having her do what she liked made me
◼Nikolas POV◼ While I was in the meeting, my butler came over to notify me that Rose left the palace grounds. Cullen, seeing my reaction, stopped the discussion. Earlier I had received word from the spies that hunters were roaming the zone. Especially Rose’s clan. I didn’t know if Alpha Maximus had notified her, but I needed to know, so I called him. He was brief, informing me that his men were on the lookout. Hunters were not just on Rose territory, but his. It intrigued me to know why they need to find that treasure. It confused me as to where I would ask Rose about it. Now here I was trying to get ahold of Rose, but she wasn’t answering her phone. I tried calling Alpha Maximus, but it wasn’t going through. Something was telling me that Rose would be in danger. Ordering some of my m
◼Nikolas POV◼ After the news of me being a father, I headed back to my room. Alpha Maximus and Cullen insisted on me resting. I had asked them where Rose was; I needed to see her. But they denied my request. Both of them said it wasn’t time to visit her and it would best for me to recover. When I asked them both how long I’ve been out, they told me it’s been four days. It shocked me knowing that I was unconscious for that long. Cullen had affirmed to me he was handling the palace. No one knew they hurt me or that something happened to Rose. There were enough rumors of Rose being dead, and one more would stir chaos in the vampire’s clan. Cullen also told me Liam was awake and fine. After a long recovery, Liam was back. He was taking care of Rose’s clan and her. Alpha Maximus has briefe
◼Nikolas POV◼ It’s been a week since we had our small talk with Liam. I haven’t been able to see Rose. Last time Liam explained it would be best not to see her, not because she was hurt, but where she was located. It seems Liam was keeping Rose away from everyone’s eyes. The only ones aware of her were Alpha Maximus and Liam himself. He told me once Rose was awake, he would let me know immediately. Rose needed to rest a lot so she could recover. According to Alpha Maximus, when he found Rose, she was on the verge of death. The wound on her chest was so deep and so big that she had bled out. The weapon the person also used had poison and silver. That’s another reason I was healing slowly. The wound had touched Rose’s heart. Making her fall into an immediate coma. It worried me after he
◼Rose POV◼ Feeling nauseated, I swing over and vomit. Sweat on my forehead and a watery nose bothered me. Why was I feeling like shit? Opening my eyes, I look for something to clean my mouth. Unfortunately, it was dark, so trying to reach for the night table, I feel a sharp pain across my rib cage. Groaning in pain, I lay back. What did the hell happen? Panting, I try to calm down. The pain was becoming unbearable and harder for me to breathe. Gripping my chest. I try to see what happened. They wrapped half of my body in bandages. Worried, I get up slowly and walk over to the bathroom. I didn’t notice where I was. The only thing on my mind was how I survive. I tried to walk straight, but the pain was too much to bear. So, taking slow steps, I move forward.
◼Nikolas POV◼ When Liam told us the news about Rose waking up, I had the urge to go and immediately be next to her. But things didn’t go as planned. Liam told me to take it easy and go the next day. I had to, though. It’s been five months since they attacked Rose, and that Liam took her away. All this time, I knew nothing. The only thing Liam would inform me would be about how she was. He didn’t give details of it, and I understood why, but I needed to be next to her as her mate. All this time, the hunters have been attacking and looking for an excuse to hunt us. They even started attacking in North America. Cullen had to flee back to his kingdom. It was like some war was going to break out soon. So far on our side, we had few ca
◼Nikolas POV◼ “Man, are you ok?” Liam asked as he helped me get up. “What are you doing here?” “Rose asked me to leave,” I said. “She did what?” Liam asked, surprised, “But why did you leave? Didn’t you want to see her?” “Yes, but she didn’t,” I said, looking away. Sighing, Liam pats my shoulder and opens the door. “Rose?” Liam asked. I followed him quietly. Rose was nowhere in the room. “Where is she?” I asked, panicking. “Calm down,” Liam said as he walked over to a sliding door. “S
◼Third Person’s POV◼ Finally, was all I could think of. I finally was awake. It’s been years since I went into slumber, and now I had awakened. I was fully recovered and ready to take revenge. First, I had to find her and kill her for everything she did. Standing at the mansion and looking outside, I wait for him to come over and give me some good news. Then, waiting patiently, I suddenly hear a knock. “Come in…” I whispered. The door to the room opened and closed. It was quiet, so I waited for the person to say something. “It seems you are accommodating to things here,” the stranger said. “I used to live here,” I said, “Any news?”
