Eons ago, in the youth of the cosmos, there existed beings that possessed great power, comparable to celestial divinity, known by many as the Io. They ruled over the universe, shaping it to their will through the use of mythical engines of unimaginable power that made gods, the Origins. In time, the Io faded into legend and their universal empires fell apart, now only leaving remnants scattered across space, but the influence of the fabled ‘originals’ can still be felt on any world and in any civilization. The last sixty plus years of my life has been spent achieving greatness. As a young man I was a soldier and fought for my country, when the fighting was done I returned home, to take the place of my father as the head of the family business. I had been raised to lead and trained to succeed. For forty years I was the head of my family and those were forty of the best years the family ever had. Alliances were forged and enemies were crushed underfoot, anyone who betrayed me lived to regret their mistake. When the time went to go to war I was merciless; those I wanted dead were never seen again and those I protected never knew suffering.
