Chapter 71

Josephine let out a sigh for the fourth time as she and Candice were planning their next event while at Bloom's Restaurant. For the past few days now, they have been frequenting the place and sitting at the same table which has now been reserved for them.

Candice looked up from the book she was writing and noticed Josephine's mood. She pursed her lips as if thinking and she called her, "Josephine?"

Josephine raised her eyes to look at her and she raised her brows a bit. "Yes?" she answered.

Candice dropped the pen on the book and pushed it aside before leaning her hands on the table, crossing them. "Are you alright?" she asked with concern and quickly added, "You cannot tell me you are because I know there is something bothering you. Why not share it with me and let me see how I can be out help?"

Was it obvious? Josephine thought as she stared at her. What could she possibly tell her? She cannot reveal what Lucas is or tell her what she has been facing or everything that has happened
