By the time Josephine woke up from her unconscious state, it was morning already. She groaned and managed to sit up on the bed before noticing that she was in an unfamiliar room.“Where is this place?” she muttered to herself and rubbed her eyes to have a proper view of where she was and that was when her eyes fell on a glass with red liquid inside. The scene of yesterday suddenly flashed in her mind and she immediately got out of bed, flinging the sheet out of her body. Her eyes scanned the room again to make sure no one was there with her and she walked to the table where the glass was placed. She bent her upper body and placed her nose next to the glass to perceive it before dipping one finger inside. She brought the finger to her eye level to have a proper look at it.“Did the bartender drug me?” she asked herself with a slight frown on her face and as she stared at the red liquid on her finger, the image of red eyes flashed across her mind and she gasped almost immediately.Josep

Josephine stared at her small bag with her eyes dull. There were lots of things going on through her mind and they were things like; what could he possibly be doing right now? What happened after she left the party? Did it end or...did it continue? Did everyone pretend not to care or they didn’t really care? What would happen to her wedding? And then she blamed herself. She blamed herself for walking out of the house, for not querying Brian. Why did he do what he did? Was there a fault he saw in her or was she not attracted to him enough? Were all the years they have both spent together a lie? Did he never love her? But then, she should have known Maya better. She is a traitor and she should have known that she was always attracted to Brian for some reasons she didn’t know but had decided to ignore it since she was confident that she would get married to Brian. But that confidence broke when she saw them in bed together. She opened her bag and brought out her phone. She stared at the

Thirty minutes had passed since Josephine walked inside Lucas office with Michael and she now sit on a chair with her back leaned against it and her legs crossed. Opposite to where she was sitting was Michael, his eyes on her and Josephine felt uncomfortable. She had adjusted herself so many times within those minutes and she can’t seem to stop moving her body from time to time as wild thoughts crossed her mind. She heard her stomach grumble and she groaned, rubbing it with a tired expression on her face. Raising her eyes to look at Michael, she deliberated on either to ask him if there was anything she could eat or not and she set her lips into a thin line.Seeing her expression, Michael asked, “Is there anything you want to ask me?”“Huh?” Josephine raised her eyes and said, “Oh that, I was just wondering if you could please order something for me?” she said with doubts in her voice. “As you can see, I am very hungry and your boss hasn’t been kind enough to even offer me water. He wo

In Brian’s apartment, Maya made herself comfortable on the sofa and took a sip from the exotic wine in her glass. She smiled at the feeling she got from it and looked at Brian who looked like he was upset about something.“Is anything the problem, hun? You have been moody since I moved into your house this morning. Tell me what is bothering you. Who knows, I might be able to help,” Maya said and smiled in the end, while also running her fingers around the tip of the glass.Brian, who had been sitting quietly suddenly felt provoked by Maya’s words and he snapped at her, “Can you just not talk? Like, I need you to be quiet.”“Hey! That is not the way to talk to your wife,” Maya said, pretending to look annoyed when in truth she was enjoying the moment.“You are not even my wife,” Brian scoffed.“But I will be in a week’s time,” Maya said and chuckled.“Don’t you feel any remorse?” Brian asked her and she raised a brow at him. “Josephine is your best friend. You both even grew up togethe

Lucas raised his hand slowly and placed his thumb on his lips, rubbing it slowly while staring at Josephine who already started to feel uncomfortable.“What?” she demanded when she couldn’t bear it anymore.“Nothing,” Lucas responded and it almost sounded like a whisper.“I don’t like the way you are star...”“He wants your body,” Lucas said before she could complete what she was saying.“Huh?” Josephine raised a brow.“It’s obvious he doesn’t want you but your body. That explains why he was having sex with your best friend because she gave it to him willingly,” Lucas said and sat up. “Tell me, when was the last time he tried to make advance at you?”“Three months ago.”“What happened?” he asked.Josephine looked at Lucas and thought back on the time when Brian had tried to have sex with her even after she had made it clear to him that she doesn’t want it not until their wedding night.“It was
