Chapter 77

Josephine stood there speechless and she stared at him. Of course there were lots of things she wanted to ask him about her mother. Why did he have to hide such a thing from her? Was he scared about what might happen if she finds out? Those were the questions she kept asking herself but for some reason, she did not know why she took pity on him.

“Josephine,” he called and said, “I asked why you are not asking me about your mother. Nicholas told me about everything. I kept it from you and you finally found out, but why are you not asking me about it? Why are you not getting angry?” he grabbed her hand as he asked. “You should already know that your mother died because of me so say something and stop looking at me with those innocent eyes,” he yelled.
