Lena's POV.

“You are nothing but a clown I raised. You will die worthless and nobody will think you ever existed, not me, not even Dominic,” Elaine fumed at me with a knife in her hand.

I pulled back breathing rapidly.

She launched at me, screaming furiously, and I ran in any direction, my heart throbbed and my hands trembled. She was a few inches from thrusting the weapon at me when I tripped on my feet and fell to the ground.

The ground split into a hole and swallowed me. I screamed for help but I was suddenly trapped in deep water, drowning in its darkness, and the waves drifted me from the light. Just as I was about to lose my life, I jolted up gasping for breath.

It was a dream, a pretty realistic one that kept me heaving for minutes. I looked around as my heart pounded against my chest.

I was in a dark warehouse, definitely sure it was in the middle of a cornfield, void of humans. I quickly crawled to the walls, the chain on my ankle rattling. A small group of men was playing checkers by the corner.

Their skin was filled with tattoos, and they had marks everywhere with a killer look. Rogues; the type that would end my life if they got too bored.

At that point, I was struck with a cold realization; I had been kidnapped.

I was so close to freaking out but I was scared not to make a sound.

Goodness! I was such a fool.

“Hey get up on your feet,” one of the men ordered, fat and short. He poked me with a stick and the others burst out laughing.

“Let her be, she's been out for hours.” One of them protested. “We are lucky she's not dead,” he said under his breath.

“If she were dead, it would have made our job way easier.” The fat man said aloud. “They didn't pay us enough to house her for a day.”

Kill me? My ears perked up and my knees trembled. My eyes narrowed with a distraught gaze. Even my breath sounded too loud.

“Let's just have our fun with her and end it,” one of them suggested.

My throat sank down my guts, and my spine crackled like I had been slammed hard to the ground. What did they mean? I had been crying for hours but at the sight of my hopelessness, my eyes watered again for another round of tears.

“Everyone, shut up!” A masked man yelled at the corner. They turned to him and all of them pumped up their shoulders.

His voice was oddly familiar, and his eyes… There was something off with it.

I gulped hard and leaned my back against the wall.

My stomach growled for food after hours of watching them gobble meals. They ate greedily and couldn't care less if I was starving or not. When they prepared to go on their heist and risky invasions, they bound me with chains and subjected me to physical force if I showed the slightest bit of hesitation.

Days went by, and the only thing I had was stale bread and half a cup of water. My dress was ripped open at the stomach and they made me sit around like a cheap whore with no dignity.

I didn't know how long I sat there, but I thought it was up to a week. My life living in silent fear continued until one night, tied up and forced to stare at the ceiling with regrets, the rogues came back in a rush, packing their loot and stuffing it in the car.

As they were done packing their loot, they rushed out to kickstart their car, and I was left alone. “Wait, what about me, you have to let me go,” I begged.

I struggled to wriggle out of my chains but no one answered me. I thought I was doomed until I heard a snap behind me.

“Who's there?” I shot out, struggling to turn towards the figure.

“Relax, it's me,” the figure said with a tone of familiarity.

He walked up before me and I noticed he was the masked man. His face was still concealed but his eyes shone with dark intent. He touched my neck and slid his hands down my breasts.

“You’ve gotten prettier, how do you manage to do it?” he said with a frisky tone.

“What are you talking about, I don't know you,” I retorted, moving away from him.

“You don't need to know me, it's not important anymore,” he replied, grabbing my arms with a firm grip and slamming me to the floor.

His tongue grazed my breast as he crawled up to my face and softly bit my neck. “Orders were to kill you, but I figured out it's better to have you for myself once again, Lena,”

My jaw dropped in surprise. Was he about to kill me? “No, no please. I don't want to die now,” I begged.

“Nobody does, and we can work on that,” he whispered and grazed my right ear with his tongue. “Give me what I want and I'll let you go,”

He snickered and groped my breast, his hands moving in a circular motion. “I want your body for your freedom,”

I was about to sleep with my abductor just so he could let me go. I knew if I declined it was going to be my end.

I breathed heavily, watching him bite down on his lower lip.

“Wh… what are you… doing?” I mumbled, pressing my thighs shut.

“Come on,” he moaned. “You have to do better than this, I don't have time to play hard to get, Lena”

He called my name with a strange familiarity, and his scent was oddly striking. His hands also felt like I had known him for some time, like I had felt it once in my life.

It was forbidden, but I wanted to give him what he wanted.

Maybe he was a stalker, but stalkers weren't rogues. They weren't…

His hands trailed down my waist and he slid my thighs open. He kissed my lips and crawled his lips to my neck. I was confused, but I didn't resist.

He ripped off my dress and stuck his pinkie into my mouth.

“Scream for me,” he said with a husky voice. “I like it when you scream, I'll stop when you scream harder,”

He slid his cock inside me and began thrusting back and forth. He pulled my hair and covered my mouth with his right hand. Every thrust felt like he was thrusting deeper.

I groaned in pain while he moaned in ruthless ecstasy.

My legs were sore from his bruises and my lungs. Having sex with a stranger wasn't what I needed at that moment but I couldn't stop myself. I couldn't stop him.

The whimpers I made weren't enough to make him stop. He clasped his hands on my palm and drilled me even faster. This time rougher than he started.

I moaned, my voice barely above a mutter. “Stop already, please,” tears trickled down my face. It was so painful to continue because even my face was bruised.

Finally, in what seemed like an eternity, he moaned aloud, spilling his cum on my stomach. He exhaled heavily and stood up to fix his jeans.

I groaned in pain but he did nothing to ease my pain. He stared at me like I was nothing but a figment of his imagination.

“I'd like to help you but… You are meant to stay dead. If you can make it out of here alive, it's best you don't go back to your pack.”

Those were the last words he said to me before leaving me in a critical state.

Steve's POV. It had slipped out of my mouth. I didn't realize it until she gaped at me like I was a distorted reflection of herself. The silence crept in and made everything an awkward mess, forcing me to look away and fake a faint cough. “What I'm simply saying is that I don't need you cleaning.” My gaze softened. “But…” “I don't want you to cook, don't even think of picking up a broom or dusting the curtains. That's not what I want you to do as long as you are in my house,” She frowned looking unconvinced and hesitant. “Stay all day and do nothing?” Her voice was faint. “Shouldn't I earn my keep? I'll be useless if I don't do anything in return.” I couldn't help but wonder where she got her mentality from. Every other women would jump at the chance of living luxuriously without having to touch a single thing, but she was persistent on working. ‘Dominic’s ex, huh?’ I thought to myself. Why did he reject her for another? She was pretty, innocent and calm. And even witho

Steve's POV. A small chuckle escaped my mouth as she stopped and continued breathing heavily. She thought a giant mogul like I was was going to cower at her feeble threats. “I'mma have to stop you there, lady. Whatever sacrifice you think you made was your decision, not mine. And if you do decide to leave with your …investments, I assure you I won't feel a percent drop in my stock value and net worth,” Her breathing grew heavier as soon as I stopped. “You… how could…” she stuttered. “So do me a favour and leave while you still can, Shania. You'll be doing me a favor anyway coz I never want to see you,” my cold voice roamed through the atmosphere bouncing back with a reflection of satisfaction. She turned speechless as she couldn't think of a word to say. It stretched on for almost a minute until a clang echoed in her background. Then a laugh. A dark laugh. “You got it all twisted, Steve. I don't intend to leave.” Her voice deepened with a selfish greed, a dark intent to pass h

Steve's POV. Certainly, my beta's suspicion of Lena was rooted in the cruel history my pack had with her pack. It opened room for suspicions about her story, who she was and whatever she faced. I felt that way at first, but watching her recover, the winces she made while unconscious. Her calm and still face when she laid resting. And when she finally awoke, I couldn't deny it. I wasn't supposed to love again, not after I dumped in a ditch by love. But she pumped a rush in my veins no matter how hard I tried to stop it. I broke eye contacts with Louis and nodded as I glanced at the floor and smacked my lips. “My pack's security is still my top priority, Louis. I will protect everyone when need arrives but I am not sending Lena away or keeping her prisoner. End of discussion,” my voice shook through the walls, prompting his shoulders to drop as he leaned back and looked away. “Yes Alpha,” he muttered and straightened his shoulders. He dismissed every other thoughts he wanted to po

Steve's POV. “I'm sorry, I… I… can't. I wasn't thinking… I…” she shook her head and clutched her thighs together. “I… I'm sorry,” she whispered. “It's fine, leave!” I murmured, taking my eyes off her. “Huh?” She questioned with a mix of surprised and restrained fear. She wasn't sure if she could actually leave, if I really meant it. Or maybe she didn't really want to leave, she wanted to stay some more. “I said you can go,” I repeated, my voice stern and sharp as she scraped her legs on the floor backwards. “Okay sir,” she turned her back to leave, her hair brushing off her shoulder as she twisted the knob and slipped out of my room without a single word. The soft click of the door blared through the silence, prompting me to stare at the spot where she once stood as though her shadow lingered behind calling onto me. She had left but I could still pick up her smell in the air, making her absence more obvious than I thought. “We both feel it, it's undeniable,” my wolf gro

Lena's POV. I leaned back on the wall, using my fingers to claw onto the wall helplessly as I tried to calm myself down. I didn't understand what was happening or why I was in the room. The shadow kept coming closer and I was forced to stretch my hands forward. “Who are you… what am I doing here?” I stuttered. The shadow stopped and dropped its arm by its side. Then, he clapped his hands once and the dim light brightened immediately. It was Steve standing across the bear rug in his room, his brown eyes fixed at me like he was gaping into my soul. I took a deep breath and heaved a long sigh. “I didn't notice it was you,” I said with a soft voice, feeling my heart beating at a normal rate once again. My legs stopped trembling. “You don't have to be afraid, I have no intentions to hurt you,” he said. “Yes… Alpha,” I replied with a little bit of hesitation. He took a step forward and I jerked in response. “I’m certain Louis took you to the mall and you got whatever you need,” Lou

Lena's POV. “He hates me,” I thought to myself. Much like the Alpha did but he was way more direct, and open with it. And it felt threatening. My fault in life was stumbling in to their territory when I had no one to help me. It was silly of him to think I was trying to hide a part of myself from him or…“Goodness,” I sighed, grabbing a jumper suit from a clothes rack. I wasn't myself, not with those eyes of his watching every move I made. He mumbled inaudibly and I could feel his presence darting blades at me even when I wasn't looking. He made the my time in the mall terrible. It became a prison, a rehabilitation center and I just trying to scrape by. At the cash counter, he wouldn't let me speak or even move a muscle. I could only pretend to smile while my conscience rotted in a hollow tunnel. This was my life now, something I couldn't explain if I wanted to. I guess living a normal life isn't cut out for me anymore. I blinked away the tears that formed on my eyes and straight

Lena's POV For a long time, I had been thinking I was weak-willed, with no drive to survive or live on to the next sunrise, but my two instances with death convinced me otherwise. Lena's POV. My life had always been controlled every day. Elaine and her daughters starved me, threw insults at me, and constantly reminded me of how less of a human I was. Lena's POV. I hummed a sweet, melodious tune as I walked down from the market with a bag of groceries in my hand. I couldn't get his voice out of my mind. I was excited.Too excited. Lena's POV. I needed a slap, a hard slap that would catch me off guard. A pinch, a bruise, anything to wake me from the dream I thought I was trapped in. “Are you kidding?” I muttered. “Look around you, does this place look like I'd be lying when I got important things to do.
