CHAPTER TWENTY THREE

“Thanks” I mumbled. Lucian leaned closer to me. He stared into my eyes and I could he was conflicted. Did he want to do something he was not sure about? I suddenly had the urge to kiss him. Will he kiss me back if I kissed him now? He said he wasn't going to kiss me until he knew I wanted it. Will he think I did this because of the bond and not kiss me back? A risk I wasn't ready is take so I discarded the thoughts. No kissing and making a fool out of myself.

“I_need to take_this off,” I said when his closeness was doing more than just an urge to kiss him. He stepped back, away from me with an apologetic look.

“I’m sorry” I quickly said and left the room. I quickly removed the gown and changed back to my clothes. I handed the gown to the lady and she added it to the rest of the dress. With Lucian’s help and a lot of coming and going, we eventually get all of the clothes in the car.
