After Leila took her bath, she wore a tank top and a pair of shorts, the weather was kind of hot already, the switch in the weather was annoying too. She sat down on her bed as she waited for Frank. He would be back anytime soon and she could not wait to meet his girlfriend too, it had been long since she had a female friend and she blamed that in the poor decisions she had made during the course of her life. Leila could not breath for a second, her chest felt tight. Jordan was her husband and she did not know why he was back now, when she was already in love with another. She remembered she was still on the call “What do you want Jordan?” She barked angrily. “Darling, did you not miss me. I am going to be released tomorrow from the correctional center and I need someone to pick me up, since you are my only legal guardian, hence the answer to why I am calling” “And why am I the only one? What about your father? Call him to bail you out and do not call me again”, she screamed. “Wait, do not hang up Leila, I do not want to resort to threatening you but I heard you have a new house, I am your legal husband and I am staking a claim to the house, just to let you know” “Why are you doing this to me Jordan, we are over and I do not need you in my life anymore. Leila smiled at him with tears in her eyes, she was happy and sad and all waves of emotions washed over her, her feelings were everywhere, she blamed it on hormones, maybe her menstrual cycle was catching up with her and it would soon be her time of the month. A gentle tap woke Leila up from her sleep, she felt tired like she had not been sleeping well, it took a second for her to remember that she was in Gavin’s car and they were supposed to have breakfast. She smiled when she saw Gavin’s beautiful face staring at her. The guy was just too handsome and she could stare at him all day, she blinked rapidly, trying to shake herself out of the Gavin spell that she was currently in. “We are here baby, or do you want to take a rain check?” Gavin asked softly. She could not stop herself from smiling so that was what she did. She smiled. “We are here already, I think I can make it out of the car and into the diner”“Or” Gavin teased, his eyes twinkling, “should I carry you? Just say the word and I will Leily-bear” She felt her cheeks turning red again, she was totally in love with this man, even the little things that he said had a way of making her feel mushy and overly shy. She hated that she was feeling that way and she could not control it.

Leila found herself smiling amidst the whole thing. Gavin had dragged her out of the HR office into his office, holding her hand every step of the way and never letting go. A part of her was still confused as to the declaration of love that Gavin had done earlier. If he was becoming a father, why would he want to string her along. She wanted to ask him but deep down, she was a little bit scared of the response that she might get. She was a weak person when it came to him and she was not entirely proud of that but the way he professed his love for her made her swoon and feel all mushy inside out. She decided to hold on with the questions till another day, she did not want to ruin the mood just yet. “Are you hungry baby? Think we should skip the day and get breakfast and probably lunch and maybe dinner?” Gavin teased Leila chuckled, “Does that mean we will be gone for the whole day?” Gavin only nodded in response, he kept smiling at her like she was all he could see and she felt
