“You killed it darling” Frank said with a smile as he went to hug Leila. She smiled back, she felt relieved because she found out that Mrs.Hasters was not among the executives that came back inside after the break. Maybe she had to attend to something. Maybe Gavin had something to do with it. Leila could not stop thinking about Gavin’s mom and how she spoke to her. Deep down, she knew the woman was not going to like her but she expected a more cordial relationship not utter rudeness. The car stopped in front of the company and she stepped out. “Good morning miss Leila”, the security guard said to her. It still felt weird how they had all started to respect her ever since she became the boss’ girlfriend. She was not going to lie, it felt good. “Just call me Leila”, She replied with a genuine smile. She brought out the notepad and started studying it, she did not want to sound dumb in the meeting today in front of the executive members and definitely not in front of Gavin. Leila felt a little nervous about seeing Adele Cooper. Honestly, she had no idea what she was going to say when she saw her. She did not think it through before texting her yesterday.
