CHAPTER 6

(Elisa's POV)

Fear gripped my chest as he continued screaming at me, demanding an answer. I tried releasing myself from his grip on my arm but my struggles seemed pointless as he only held on tighter. “Let go!!!” I yelled, my expression twisting in pain. “It hurts”.

“You want me to let go?” He question in a sarcastic voice. “fine, I'll let go” and with that he dragged me along with him, roughly shoving me to the bed, trapping me beneath him as his hands began tugging at the straps of my dress, further revealing the love marks imprinted on my skin. He stared blankly at my exposed skin for a while before suddenly busting out in subtle laughter. “Now I understand, you're only doing this to get my attention aren't you?, because I slept with the maid, right? That's why you did it?” He voiced, sounding a little too calm.

“I won't deny the fact that your escapades with that lowly maid served as a fuel to my anger, leading me to explore my options and taste the satisfaction of being with a man of your household, but after experiencing what it's like to be treated with the upmost importance all night long, I can't blame you for desiring it as well. It's evident in the dynamic of our relationship that we habour no feelings towards each other, so how about we make a deal? It would be best to come to an agreement of some sort to satisfy both our needs as this marriage proves inevitable. I'm giving you the permission to indulge yourself in whatever may tickle your fancy, including the company of other women as I have no intention of being romantically involved with a incompetent degenerate like you.”

His expression faltered for a moment, almost as though he was trying to mask his hurt as he spoke. “I don't agree” he responded, his voice shaking with something other than anger as he got off me and headed towards the door without looking back.

I was infuriated by his refusal, yelling profanities at him as he walked away without even bothering to respond until the last words escaped my lips. “Don't expect me to remain faithful to you. I don't owe you anything, least of all loyalty”

He immediately came to a halt after hearing my words, his shoulders trembling softly as he clenched his fists in silence. “Please wear something less revealing when you're coming down for breakfast, the whole family will be present and I wouldn't want them to get involved in our dispute” just like that he left with his head down, softly shutting the door behind him.

A few minutes later, after freshening up I reluctantly decided to join the rest of the family for breakfast downstairs. Just as I was making my way down the hallway, my mind instinctively reminisced the memories of my earlier on encounter with the mysterious man I spent the night with. “I didn't even get to ask his name?” I thought out loud, just as I was deep in thought, pondering on his identity, I accidentally bumped into someone, causing me to almost fall to the ground. “I'm so sorry, it's my fault for failing to notice you, I should've watched my steps more carefully. I'm really sorry” I voiced apologeticly as I raised my head, curious to know who it was, only to be met with a gaze more disdainful the that of Damian's father. I held my breath, wondering why he was staring at me with such hostility. “I said I was sorry” I repeated. “There's no need for you to stare at me with such hostility in your eyes” I teased, hoping to lighten the atmosphere. Unfortunately my buffoonery wasn't met with amusement as he grabbed me by the throat, squeezing tightly as he pulled me closer, leaning in. “what gave you the right to think you're entitled to the privilege of speaking to me?” he whispered, his voice a chilling calm.

A was instantly covered in cold sweat as it became increasingly difficult to breathe. “Stop” I pleaded, forcefully trying to pry his hands off me but it was all to no avail, his grip only tightened even more as his fingers began digging into my skin, drawing blood.

I tried calling for help but it proved impossible as I slowly began fading. In my last attempt to fight back, I clawed at his hand, hoping to break free but my attempt only seemed to anger him even more as he released his grip before aggressively slammed me into the wall, causing me to tremble in pain as my head began to bleed. I crouched down by the wall, violently chocking as blood flowed freely from my head, completely soaking my blonde hair red and staining my dress.

Just as he was about to strike me again, Damian came running, scooping me into his arms as he turned to question him. “Uncle, what do you think you're doing!!!?” He yelled, gradually loosing composure.

“Uncle?” I repeated in shock as I stared up at the towering figure Infront of me.

Before I could fully understand the situation, he pulled out a gun, pointing it directly at Damian's head, his finger teasing the trigger right before our eyes.

“Watch your tone when you speak to me Damian, unlike your father I'm under no obligation to tolerate your stupid antics” he threatened, his voice still exuding the same calm but dangerous Aura.

Just with a few words he managed to completely silence Damian's retort.

The tensed situation seems to have been soothe by Damian's open submission to his uncle, but just as his uncle was about leaving Damian, unable to accept the humiliation opted to speak. “Leonard!!!” he yelled in anger, bringing his uncle to a halt. “You dare call me by my name? It seems I have no other option but to teach you a lesson today” and with that response, a shot was fired by Leonard, a smile plastered on his face as the bullet headed straight for Damian, badly grazing his arm.

Just as Leonard opted to take a second shot, a firm voice cut through the commotion. “Leo, do you dare!!!?”

Elisa's father fell back into his seat, a strange calm emitting from him as he spoke his final words. “Kill them” he ordered, his mind seemingly made up. And just like that, we were surrounded in seconds, multiple guns pointed at each of our heads, our men already restrained far behind us. “Eliot, you're going against our agreement!!!” Father retorted, trying to maintain his composure. “Agreement?” Elisa's father repeated, mocking father's choice of words. “The marriage alliance was only accepted with the hopes that you'd care for my daughter and treat her as one of your own, but instead of fulfilling your end of the bargain, you allowed your family to mistreat her, reducing her to such a state. I can't believe I actually entrusted her life into the hands of her mother's killer thinking we could bring an end to the disputes between our families and leave the past where it belongs but it seems you weren't truly in search of a reconciliation”. Father greeted his teeth in anger, looking

“Elisa!” I yelled, sprinting over as she laid motionless covered in blood. My mind reeled in horror, stunned at her current state. I pulled her into my arms, gently cupping her cheeks as I tried to shake her awake but to my dismay, she wasn't responding. “Elisa, please open your eyes. Wake up and say something, your silence is scaring me. What happened? Who did this to you?”. Unfortunately my desperate search for an answer, proved vain as Elisa still wasn't responding. It was only after a few moments of steadily observing her that I noticed she wasn't breathing at all, her chest laid completely still, not even the slightest bit of motion in sight. Panic enveloped me as I placed my head on her chest, hoping to hear a heartbeat but it was just as I had suspected, she didn't even have a pulse. My body froze at the horrid realization of Elisa's murder. Denial clouded my mind as I picked her up, carrying her lifeless body in my arms as I sprinted out of the estate, gently placing her in my

CHAPTER 12“Excuse me?” I retorted, barely restraining my anger as I tried my hardest not to retaliate her slap in fear of escalating the situation. “Have you no shame? Getting entangled with master Leonard whilst you're currently engaged to be married in only a month to sir Damian.” She spat, angry tears streaming down her face as she lunged at me, yanking me by the hair. “Master Leonard was mine, what gave you the right to take him away from me?!!! Weren't you already satisfied with Damian's looks and affection? Why choose to covet what belongs to others just for your own amusement?” She yelled, her voice rising with each passing second. “Is it because you're prettier than me, that you think you can take what's rightfully mine? Answer me!!!?” She went on, demanding a response but still refusing to let me speak. “Or is it because you're from a well off family that you think you're better than the rest of us and the world should cater the finest things only to you?” … “Fine” she conti

CHAPTER 11Feeling helpless at the thought of no other way out of the situation, I decided to take the initiative to lead it further as I boldly walked over and sat on his lap, my hand playfully teasing the bulge in his pants. I threw my arms around him, leaning in closer for a kiss but was met with rejection as he rose to his feet, tightly choking me by the neck, dragging me all the way to the door before finally releasing his grip. “What're you doing?” I questioned, as Leonard had me helplessly pinned against the door, ludged between his imposing figure and the only barrier keeping Damian from discovering our affair. He didn't even bother answering my question as he reached underneath the large shirt I was wearing, ripping my underwear right off as he picked me up, forcefully placing my arms around his neck, my legs instinctively wrapping around his waist in fear of falling. My chest pressed against his face as he held me up with just one hand, undoing his zipper with the other as h

“Finding out what?” Damian turned to me, genuinely concerned as he asked. “Elisa what is he talking about?”. I considered telling Damian everything first but my curiosity outweighed my fear as I accepted Leonard's invitation. “I'll go with you” I responded, my voice filled with uncertainty. “Good girl” Leonard mocked as he headed for the door, holding it open, gesturing for me to go on ahead and I obliged. Just as I was about taking Leonard's extended hand, Damian grabbed my arm, demanding an explanation. “What's going on? Why are you going along with him? Don't you understand how dangerous he is? Why are you getting involved with him?”. I hesitated, unsure of what to say as he stared at me expectantly. Before I could even respond, Leonard interrupted, picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. “Feel free to continue your interrogation when I'm done with her, as we're both currently occupied” and with that he walked away, dangling me over his shoulder as his moved calmly, forcin

CHAPTER 9(Elisa's POV) My eyes were heavy, my knees quivering beneath me, threatening to give out as I struggled to withstand the final hours of my punishment. Just as I felt my vision blurring from the strain I was forced to endure and the immense hunger I was plagued with, the timer finally went off, signaling the conclusion of my punishment. My gaze landed on the clock delicately placed in the hall, it was already midnight. I struggled to help myself up but it proved difficult as my legs had long gone numb. The head maid and the rest of the staff just walked past me as their job had already been completed. Feeling helpless and incredibly dizzy, I laid softly on the ground as I patiently waited for my legs to regain functionality. Plagued by my exhaustion, I drifted off to sleep, awoken only a few hours later by the throbbing headache inflicted by my head injury.“Does it hurt?” A familiar voice questioned. As I looked up to see who it was, I was met with the worried gaze of Damia
