I gulped hard, my eyes fixed on Duncan who was in front of me.

“How'd you….. when did you…..” I couldn't even speak.

I hadn't seen him in four days and immediately I caught sight of him, I felt my stomach twist, and not out of fear, anger or disgust…..it was out of happiness and relief.

“About 5 minutes ago.” He said, his eyes fixed on me as he took one more step, leaving us two feet apart “four days, Tori. How would you feel if I was gone that long without a word?”

I darted my gaze a bit, my eyes falling on my parents who had grins on their faces.

I turned back to him “can we talk outside?”

He gestured towards the door and I walked out the ward with him trailing behind.

We arrived outside and I turned around to him, my arms folded and a poker look on my face.

“Were you ever planning on coming back?”

I took a deep breath “I don't really have a choice in that area. We're still in a contract”
