Chapter Three

Days later, Isadora was getting used to Andrew's presence around, Andrew refused to yield to her mother's warning, and he kept seeing Isadora at the security post.

"Won't your Mom be angry with you if she sees you with me?". Isadora asked.

"No, she won't".

"Are sure? Because Liam said your Mom has warned you to stay away from me".

"Don't listen to my brother, he blabs a lot".

"Ok, if you say so".She said smiling.

"You are with her again, after Mom's warning". Liam interrupted them and then walked away angrily.

"Did he leave?".She asked.

"Yes".

"Hope he won't go and tell your Mom about it?".

"Don't worry about him".He said.

Meanwhile, Liam came to the living room frowning his face as he sat down with his hands folded across his chest. Mrs. Lisa noticed his mood and then moved to confront him.

"Liam, are you ok? What's making you angry?". She asked firmly and he ignored her."Liam".

"Will you just leave me alone!".He snapped at her and then his mother came out from her room.

"What's going on here?".She asked as she moved to them and saw his son in a bad mood. "Son, what happened to you?".

"Andrew happened!".He yelled.

"What did your brother do this time?".She asked.

"He has refused to play football with me all because of that blind girl, right now, he is with her".He said and Mrs.Elena frowned.

"Are you saying your brother refused to play with you because of that girl?".

"Yes, Mom".He nodded and Mrs. Lisa was confused about what to do.

"Take me to him".She said and they left while Mrs. Lisa followed them behind. They arrived at the security post to see the two sitting together while chatting. "Andrew?".She voices out his name and they jerk.

"Mom".Andrew stood up and his mother held his hand and pulled him to herself.

Mrs.Lisa rushed to her daughter.

"Why didn't you yield to my warning?".She asked.

"Mom, I wasn't doing anything wrong".He said.

"Didn't I warn you to stay away from her".

"Am sorry, Ma, I promise it will never happen again".Mrs. Lisa said.

"Well, keep your blind daughter in check before she inflicts my son".

"Mom!".Andrew called.

"If I see her with my son again, it will be hell for you".She threatened and walked away with her sons.

"It's ok, Isadora, am here".She said holding tight to her.

"Mom, will Andrew get scolded by his mother because of me?".

"No, child, I don't think so, he will be fine, ok?".

"Ok, Mom".

"Wait here a while longer, I will be done in half an hour".

"Ok, Mom, take your time".

"I will".She kissed her forehead and walked away.

Mrs.Elena dragged Andrew to his room and made him sit on the bed.

"Why are you being so stubborn?".She asked.

"I did not wrong".He said.

"You did everything wrong by neglecting your brother to go be with that blind girl".

"I didn't ignore Liam to go be with her, besides Liam was asleep when I left".

"Why didn't you wake me up?".Liam frowned.

"I didn't want to ruin your sleep".He sighed. "Was that why you tell mom I was with her?".

"Yes, because you refuse to play with me".

"You are unbelievable, Isadora isn't as bad as you all think".

"Well, I don't like her".Liam snapped.

"You never liked anybody, Liam, Isadora is pure in heart".

"Do you like her?".Mrs.Elena asked.

"Of course, Mom, she is like a sister I have always wished to have, please Mom, don't make me go away from her".He pleads.

"I have to, she is not your type, she is from a wretched home and you can be afflicted by her lifestyle".She said.

"This is not fair, Mom".He grumbles.

"You know I love you two so much and I don't want anything bad to happen to you".

"Nothing bad is going to happen to us". Andrew reassured her and she hugged them to herself warmly.

Another day went by, and Mrs.Lisa was still waiting for the promise the school authority made concerning her daughter's condition, but they were shocked when the school ended Isadora's scholarship and stopped her from coming to school, Isadora was devastated and cried all night, all her dream of going to school and become a medical doctor went down in a drain, her mother consoled her and told her never to give up. It went on and they continued their normal life still hoping for a donor to come sooner.

Isadora was seated at the security post looking pale, she no longer see Andrew as she used to because of what happened the last time.

"Here you go, Isadora".The security guard said as he gave me a pack of chips.

"What's this?".She asked smiling.

"It's chips, it will keep your mouth busy".He said.

"Thank you Uncle Scar".

"You are welcome".He smiled at her and went back inside. Isadora opened the chips and started eating.

In the dining, Mrs.Elena was having lunch with her sons.

"Mom, when is Dad coming back?".Liam asked.

"Next month".She said.

"Really?".Liam asked excitedly and his mother nodded. He turned to Andrew who was looking lost. "Andrew, isn't this cool that Dad is coming very soon".He asked waiting for his response.no response.

"Andrew".Mrs.Elena called jolting him out of his thoughts.

"Yes, Mom".

"Are you ok? You are not eating your food".She said.

"Am not hungry".He replied.

"Why? Are you sick?".Liam asked and he rolled his head.

"Then, what's wrong?".Mrs.Elena asked.

"Nothing is wrong, I don't have appetite, can I go to my room?".He asked and then stood up. "Excuse me".He left for his room and they stared after him.

"Did he tell you what's wrong with him?".

"No, Mom".

"Ok".She sighed and they continued eating.

Later at home, Mrs.Lisa and her daughter were having their dinner.

"Mom, Uncle Scar gave me some chips today".She said.

"Really? That's so nice of him".

"Yes, Mom, I really enjoyed it".

"Did you thank him?".

"Yes, I did".

"That's good, now finish your food so you can go to bed early".

"Ok, Mom".She smiles and continues eating.

The next day, Andrew and Liam were playing football in the garden.

"Andrew, are you angry with me?". Liam asked.

"Why will I be angry with you?".

"I don't know, you barely talk to me, so, I thought maybe you were angry with me".

"No, I can never be angry with you".

"Ok, if you say so".He smiles."Now, catch!".He kicked the ball high in the sky, but Andrew couldn't catch it flew and hit Isadora, she groaned and fell to the ground.

Unfortunately for her, she was pressed and needed to use the restroom, the security guard wasn't around to take her, so she decided to find her way and ended up coming to the garden.

"Isadora!".Andrew rushed to her and saw her bleeding from the nose. "Are you ok?".He asked curiously.

"I didn't see her coming". Liam said.

"Let me take you inside".He supported her shoulder.

"Can you take me to the restroom first, I want to pee".She said.

"Ok, I will". They walk away and Liam sighs after them.

Mrs.Lisa was surprised to see the condition of her daughter and she rushed to them.

"What happened?".She asked curiously.

"It was an accident, can you take her to the restroom, she is pressed". Andrew said.

"Ok, thank you".She carries her to the restroom.

"Seriously, I didn't do it intentionally".Liam said from behind and Andrew turned to him.

"No one is blaming you, it was just an accident".He said.

After a while, her mother helps her stop the nose bleeding.

"Are you feeling better?".Mrs. Lisa asked and Isadora nodded.

"Yes, mom".She smiles.

"But, how did you end up in where they were playing football?".She asked.

"I was pressed and there was no one to help, so, I had to find my way".

"Isadora".Andrew moved to her. "Are you feeling better?".

"Yes, thank you for helping me".

"It's ok, we are sorry about what happened, Liam didn't do it intentionally, he is very sorry, although he is not good at saying sorry, but, believe me, he is sorry".

"It's ok, I know it's not his fault, mistake do happen". Isadora said smiling.

"Ok, thank you".He said.

"Thank you for helping her".Mrs.Lisa said and they smiled at each other.
